Because clearly by giving Silvanus ANY GOLD AT ALL I activate his hookermode.
Duh, c'mon man
THE WORLD IS OVER.
Just chalk it up to Daganev being Daganev and move on with life.

Prostitute roles are typically either night-blockers, or partial detectives. The flavor being that you either keep a person busy all night, distracting him or her (lesbionic sex!) from acting, or that when you leave that person you take a belonging away with you. So if you sleep with someone who turns out to be a cop, you might steal a badge; you might also steal a gun, and then not know if the person is a vigilante, cop, or mafia member.
That's how I've seen hooker roles done in the past. I think that since Silvanus actually appears to have a night ability, with the caveat that it's supposedly useless, just means that he won't know exactly what happens to the people he sleeps with. So if it's one of the traditional roles, it's probably more likely he'll get a partial reveal. The other option is that he has some sort of time delayed effect (probably in the form of STDs) and will probably periodically cause night action failure.
Bianca, might I suggest that you try sleeping with the big wanged one (Visaeris) tonight and see what happens? A mention of an exceptionally large sexual organ, especially in a game that also has a hooker, might actually mean that a relationship between the two of you causes something to happen that wouldn't otherwise. Or it could just be random flavor that I'm reading too much into.
----------
Now, concerning electing a leader, I think you're all thinking about it the wrong way. The only protection granted to the leader is from being lynched. So voting for a leader is essentially a vote saying "I believe that I will not find this person scummy at any point during the game," since we won't be able to kill the leader later. So the leader needs to be someone we're relatively certain is with the fellowship. Otherwise we're relying on the presence of a vigilante to clean up if we choose incorrectly.
So I actually think that voting for Visaeris would be a bad idea. If he truly does have some form of immunity to death, then offering him protection from the one method we can guarantee would eliminate him seems like a bad idea.
I know this seems a little counter-productive to what I just said, since I haven't been posting (I was actually asleep, people...) and haven't had a chance to really establish myself yet, but I want to propose myself as a candidate for leader.
I am Atokero, Youxia of the Eastern Wilds. I once ruled over many people, but the warlocks laid waste to my territory killing all of my subjects and absconding with my wife. I have been seeking the Mirror of the Oracles that should allow me to discern her location and retrieve her, but in all my travels I have yet to find it. I have reason to believe that this Mirror is amongst the treasure at the end of the map.
I have armor, a sword, and a horse. With my Righteous Fury, I have yet to find a match for my skills as a warrior, and given my time as lord, I have Innate Leadership skills.
I think that given my background, I am best suited to the role of leader.

Unknown2008-07-16 19:36:34
Well. There's another roleclaim.
Daganev2008-07-16 19:37:22
Well Silvanus was wither lieing in that orignal post, or lieing in a later post.
which one was it?
Seriously... He straight out tells you that he has to sleep to the top, and to do so you have to give him gold, and then you go out and give him gold and try to be made leader.
So, either he was lying before, and that isn't how it works.... or he is lieing now. And Visaeris always says, "lynch all liers" ... so which is it?
Why are ye defending him so much? Perhaps it became mandatory to defend d'hooker once ye got d'gold, because now ye are under her spell.
Perhaps der is a hooker cult...
Any reason to believe what me am saying is not logical?

Flavor. My big wang is flavor text I'm pretty sure, and if Silvanus tries to sleep with me I'm probably going to pretend he's a dragon.

This is a curious roleclaim. What does your innate leadership ability do? Since Righteous Fury is your challenge ability, Innate Leadership is an actual ability that does something. Please inform the audience.

Because it is completely stupid. I'm not defending him, I'm just attacking you. For being dumb. I gave him his gold back. I said I would. Honestly dude you're this close to me testing how well a mafia game can be played when you have one of the principles on ignore.

Glob, or whatever your name is you silly dwarf. He probably has to make it clear that it's a transaction such as "Give gold to Bianca for Sweet Loving", not just give her gold. I doubt that incriminates Visaeris in any way, especially since Silvanus could be town.

Righteous Fury: In my anger, I have become a force of nature. None can compete with my skills as a warrior.
Innate Leadership: Years of overseeing the masses have given me experience and a touch of wisdom. My decision making abilities are matched only my my people's love.
Neither one of them is actually marked as a challenge ability, but neither of them actually gives me an action either.

Did you even read the discussion? Silvanus proved his position. He gave me the 48 gold he claimed he had. He also attempted to give me his hooker attire which forced a rule change. A rule change implemented *AFTER* he tried, so he couldn't have known.
....
In any case, Silvanus has cleared himself. He gave me the clothes pre-rule, which meant that he knew they'd clear him for his hooker role. So we know he's ahooker. He's either scum or town, with one caveat: Either he and I are both scum, or he and I are both town. I think it's safe to assume that he probably wouldn't have given me the clothes if I was on an opposing team (or the gold for that matter).

This is what you call "Not defending Silvanus"?
You clear his name twice in one post? Why are you saying he is clear so much if you are not defending him? Why are you claiming to be not defending him?
Seriously, we have two straight out liars in our group.
We have a Hooker who CLAIMED that if you give her gold , it activates her powers. We have a clear process of someone giving the hooker gold, who is now defending the hooker, AND claiming to be "not defending" the hooker.
Something is VERY fishy here.

That is possible. However, I find it unlikely that a cult would activate that way, and bring so much suspcion to itself. (if its a cult).. if it is not a cult, how would the hooker ever be able to convince someone to give them gold for sweet lovin in public like that?
Doesn't make sense.
Also, I want to ask people, how can we have a leader who openly says he hates members of the fellowship?
Ofcourse, now Requim has spoken up, and his role claim sounds like total BS.

Nope, that's not defending Silvanus, that's me building a chain that exonerates us both and puts the matter to rest. Seriously, do you try to be obtuse? Do you get off on it? I think my actions stand on their own.
Silvanus got under heat, Silvanus got out of heat through his own actions. I brought those up as part of an argument saying that we must either both be town or both be scum. I then offered evidence as to why I was not town, and by natural extension of that Silvanus probably isn't either. It was a defense of myself that gained strength by the virtue of Silvanus being accepted as not-scum(or at least not demonstrably scum).
So here's what I"m gonna do pumpkin. You're going on ignore, because I"m sick of your accent and your completely inane, foolish posts. You have never actually contributed to a mafia game in any conceivable way that I can see, and any argument you might have is drowned in the fact that you're unable to read and you just insist on replying. The first one is a challenge skill, assuming it was the first one in your role PM. The second one should be an action, or a boon, or something. I don't know, it doesn't add up to me. I'll reserve judgement until I see what Sham and a few others think. I'm expecting we'll find him slumped over his keyboard due to the fact that a third of the game has roleclaimed day 1.

WTF?
How is "building a chain that exonerates us both" NOT defending someone?
The chain only exonerates you, IF giving over gold is proof (which it is not), and IF giving over items which can not be given is proof (which it is not) (Remember, you can be a hooker and still be scum, all you've proven is that you are a hooker, not that you aren't scum... and nobody thinks Silvanus is lieing about being a hooker, we just think he is lieing about being part of the fellowship.)
So, in your own mind, what would you have to be doing to be "defending" someone?

I will definitely post at least once (and then respond to responses while I'm still at a computer) every 24 hours (so once a day) but my ability to type with a Wiimote limits my articulation under normal circumstances. I also work and go straight to school, so that 6(sleep)+8(work)+2(school)+1(driving time) = at least 17 consecutive hours where I won't be able to post.
So I won't be inactive, but my activity will come in specific bursts most of the time.
