8 to act and 8 to lynch.

vote: Lynch Archer2

He bought a magical necklace, but nothing in his role claim implied why he would want one...

plus..
he seems to think he knows too many details about the actions during the night. (why would he think that Visaeris wasn't doctor blocked on the first night?)

Although, I'd rather find the thief and lynch them first... I think Archer2 might be a warlock, waiting for the magical necklace to activate his kill powers.

And there is nothing in your claim that explains why you would want a sword and armor, if you are indeed only an engineer. Before you begin to point a finger, my friend, remember that four point back at you.

Isn't that the logical conclusion? Wouldn't the mafia immediately try to kill the Leader and he said that he had resilience. It's very possible I'm wrong, but that's just what I would guess the sequence of events are.

I bought the necklace cause it looked shiniest and I couldn't afford the contraption.
Unknown2008-07-18 22:05:50
Also, because I thought it would have a good use and I didn't want any of the scum to ninja-buy it.
Unknown2008-07-18 22:06:13
I think it's silly to make too much of any particular purchase, to be frank. I think we're all just spending in the hopes of getting something good or useful. Of course this contraption better be awesome because that basically bankrupted me. Ragh.

One more vote for Sham to finish the challenge, why don't you just switch over Archer?
Daganev2008-07-18 22:06:53

Also, about Archer2, I noticed this discrepancy before but thought nothing of it.. Now that he bought the necklace, I don't like the discrepancy.

*sigh*

Ok, I didn't want another roleclaim, but my name is Uther. I am a hardened veteran from the empire Tuczonia. I have fougth in alot of battles, along with groups of heroes and agaisnt evil sorcerors. I am really macho. Some of my items are armour, an axe, a nice white horse named Joopz and some gold.

I am a Supreme Combatant: My mastery of the axe is unparalled.

SIGH

Archer2 convinces the group to lynch Shiri with a flash of his lawman's badge and drawn sword. Hesitantly, the group starts throwing pebbles at Shiri. Small pebbles turn into full-blow rocks. Soon an innocent attempt at making him leave is warped into a full-blow stoning. Shiri, trying to shield himself from the onslaugh of rocks, starts to spew vicious words. Within a matter of moments he's a raging madman, convulsing on the ground as the rocks pummel him. The group pauses for a moment, as if to show mercy on this strange character. Archer2 finds a large-ish rock nearby, almost a boulder, and carries it over to Shiri's head. He looks up, as if to hope the stoning has stopped, only to find a large rock falling before him, obscuring his last few moments of vision.

Shiri was:

Enter Deckard. You might seem sane on the outside, but on the inside you're a raging sea of malcontent and hatred. You hate all people. They dare travel through your lands on the way to find some "treasure"? They dare step on the holy soil you've spent your entire life protecting? They are trespassers. They must die. You have joined this merry fellowship in hopes of killing as many people as you possibly can. You dont care about treasure, all you care about is blood. You have no mystical powers, you dont need them. You win when you have killed 8 people or if you are the last person standing.

Natural Woodsman: A man of the woods, you can scavenge for food, hunt, pathfind, etc.
Innocence: You appear to be just a normal woodsman, and investigations will prove fruitless.
Throat slit: During the night, you can slit someone's throat, killing them.
Bow Shot: Once in the game during the day, you can take aim with your bow and shoot someone, attempting to kill them. (BOW SHOT X)
Local Discount: You get 1/2 off all items in shops.

The lynching segment of the day is over. Proceed with finishing the challenge.

NO mention of an Axe in what actually happens. No mention of A Sword or Lawman badge in the Roleclaim.

Armor + sword = 350 gold.

Mechanical device = 700 gold.

I got robbed last night, which takes half my gold. You do the math.

I did already.
Daganev2008-07-18 22:09:11
Visaeris, I'll trade you the sword and armor for the contraption... Its most likely useless to someone like you with no engineering abilities.
Unknown2008-07-18 22:10:13
Oh, and also I have an axe. My role doesn't even mention a lawman's badge, all it says is that I can lynch someone on my own. I was a little confused by the modpost to.

Sure, if you can pony up the 350 gold. Oh wai...

Anyways I'll wait to see what I can figure out about it first.

hmm, hope this is the right syntax

Evidently someone as stupid as half-troll is not capable of figuring out the mechanical contraption. Great. Anyone want to buy it off me for 700 gold? Maybe a mage or something that's not quite so dumb? Lowe, I'll trade it for the necklace and some cash~
Unknown2008-07-18 22:15:37
Someone should either buy the torch now or we should wait until we get the money from the brawl. Either way we should buy it, seems worth having if we are on a adventure.
Unknown2008-07-18 22:19:17
I'm broke Visaeris, at least Bali says I am...I'm supposed to have 100 gold left though, since it was 400 and I had 500 gold pieces. tongue.gif

Ye flashed yer lawman's badge... not sure how you can say you don't know you have it!

What do you mean you ALSO have an axe? All you said was you have an axe, but we have yet to see you use an axe, only a sword.

And it says right there that it costs 500.. silly.

I'll buy the torch if I ever find 80 gold.

How is that relevant? You were accusing Archer2 of being a warlock based solely on what he purchased, because, according to your reasoning, it didn't seem like something he should have, given his role in the fellowship.

Why would that logic not apply to you, when you purchased things that don't seem appropriate to an engineer?

You could easily have waited to see if we received any monetary benefit from the current challenge, since the cost of the contraption would (I'm assuming) be prohibitive to nearly anyone save for the leader.

Amarysse2008-07-18 22:24:34
To clarify (because I'm fairly certain Daganev will misinterpret what I said):

Archer may, indeed, oppose the goals of the fellowship. I'm not speculating on his guilt or innocence.

I'm debating the flawed logic of the argument used against him.
