My only real reservation about Daganev is that his style of discussion (which seems consistent with descriptions of his behavior in other games) makes him a very easy target.
I'm inclined to think that he's either with the fellowship (and simply not very good at expressing himself), or a member of the opposition who wants to be targeted for whatever reason.

How many votes on Daganev?

six on dag

Unvote: Daganev
Vote: Requiem
We still have a large part of the day where Daganev is not here and it's useless for my vote to be on him for now (I did this same thing last day, but in reverse).
My point of suspicion against requiem is that Shiri nominated requiem before any posts were made by requiem (except one post), even though Rika had already been 'disgraced' against for random nomination of leader targets.
Then requiem comes with the perfect leader role and apparently has two challenge abilities (?) or I am just very unclear about her role. And as Visaeris pointed out against me, being sketchy and uncommunative about your role is a sign of scumminess.
5/8 on Dag.

Consider this a friendly poke to get things moving.

It's hard to get a discussion going when roughly half the group isn't responding...
I'm holding my vote until Daganev posts; there's been too much jumping around where votes are concerned, which not only makes it difficult to track, but to determine who's a viable candidate for departure from the fellowship.

Visaeris said he wants to lynch me as soon as possible. (is it required for me to find that post?) He said this before he became leader.
I mentioned that I don't think Visaeris would be safe as leader, because he did some things which could have potentially got us stuck (gave money to Silvanus)
Archer2 lied, (or Bali lied).. and I'm going to have a hard time believing that Bali lied.
Yes, Archer2 proved that he had the ability he said he had. But we also saw scum who had the ability he said he had. Again Shiri, (who was scum) also wanted to make assumptions about what would be "too powerfull" or not. I don't want to risk any such assumptions.
The lack of lawman badge in Archer's claim, and the quick purchase to buy the magical item make me suspicious of him, and that is why I voted to lynch him. I voted before much discussion happened, because I would be gone for so long.
You can lynch me if you want, but all you will find out is that I have been telling the truth the whole time. And I would be suspicious of the people who are constantly trying to point the finger at me.

Wow, I haven't even voted yet

Also, it doesn't matter if Visaeris is the thief or not, since there isn't anything we can do to stop him. So if the thief is trying to frame Visaeris, thsts just silly.

I am also failing to understand how, in a game of mafia, where the goal of the bad guys is to lie and deceive to kill everyone off, being paranoid is considered a bad thing.
How else can one expect to win against experienced mafia players?

I find the waiting on the voting to lynch Daganev a little strange, because he's already roleclaimed and has always been actively pointing out his suspicions - which brings me to the question of how he is supposed to defend himself. Though I find him a little iffy myself, Archer2 seems a little more suspicious to me, since he hasn't addressed the issue of the discrepancies between his claimed weapon/items and those revealed in the use of his power.
Arix2008-07-20 09:03:23
It's possible Bali had a brain fart, you can't expect him to remember offhand what equipment he gave to every single person.
Arix2008-07-20 09:19:00
Anyway, I'm off to bed. See you all tomorrow night

Any moderator worth thier salt, who makes up new rules with things like items, has a very nice .txt file that they have and look at before they write up the actions of a skill.
Maybe Bali had a brainfart and my mechanical ball from my bag o'tricks really wasn't a dud and something actually did happen.
I wonder who is more trustworthy, Archer2 or the Moderator? Who has more reason to lie? Honestly, I can't believe this line of thinking is taken seriously.
Should we just assume that the Moderator doesn't write honest text, that our items don't do what Bali says they do, and that perhaps Bali is really lieing to us about the whole Warlock thing to begin with?
Maybe there really is no treasure at the end of the 10 day quest?

Actually, I'm finding it difficult to understand why you would automatically want to remove Archer2. He has a lawman badge, according to Bali. If he has a particularly useful role, and if the description of his charge against Deckard is accurate, then he's not someone I'd want to be rid of, personally. Unless, of course, you follow the "lynch all liars" rule, but that isn't always an accurate way of determining who is scum and who isn't. (Look at Bali in the last game, for example. He was on the side of the town, and working for the town, even though he wasn't honest about his role.)
(I hope that's coherent... It's 5:30am here right now, and I'll try to post something more useful tomorrow.)

I know this is going to sound funny, but I think Daganev has a point. Balizar has been playing mafia for quite some time, so I don't think if he gave someone a skill he would use items the person actually didn't have. He couldn't have known that Shiri was an SK and if he is mafia, maybe he just assumed Shiri was acting scummy so thought there might be two anti-town groups. Killing someone who turns out to be against the town would take the heat off himself, however would you give someone in the mafia a daykill power? I'ts my first game, so maybe someone with more play time can answer that.

Hmm, you make a good point.
Don't have enough information about who the warlocks really are to be able to make a decision in that area.
unvote to lynch Archer2
I was too caught up in the contradictions to realize the implication of the contradiction.

Moral of the story, don't read Daganevs posts.
Daganev2008-07-20 17:06:11
I'm suspicious about Arix now and the thief thing..
Also, I still want to know the truth about Silvanus.
If nobody is dieing at night, is it safe to have a no lynch untill the investigator can find a warlock?
