*sigh* I'm not completely satisfied or convinced, but given the discrepancies in his stories, it doesn't seem as if anything short of divine intervention is going to save Archer at this point. I hope sincerely that he isn't, in fact, with the fellowship, because that at least would make having voted for him easier.

Ok, I just hope you guys realise you're being shepherded into lynching me, and it looks like it's being done pretty easily. People like Thul have been poking at the hurt/indignition some of you feel at being "lied" to, by exaggerating what happened.
"Lies, lies, lies..." is Thul's reason, but what did I really lie about? I said axe instead of longsword? Yes, it was a mistake. A stupid, silly, careless, dumb mistake, but an honest one. I should have looked at my role for a minute longer, but it was just a very small part of my role, a single phrase in a list of items I had. The Lawman's Oath was fairly ambigious, and it never mentioned me using a badge. I interpreted it as a sort of one-shot Vigilante-esque skill that happened during the day, i.e I took action on my own.
One of my theories is that the scum in this game are not killing people purposefully, to keep the field of candidates for lynch as wide as possible. This way, the field stays as wide as possible, for as long as possible and suspicion may not turn to them until it's too close to the 10th day to get rid of them all. They don't have to rush to get rid of us or rush to to get to the night, or anything.
Anyway, I had fun playing guys . I hope my stupid mistake doesn't lessen your view of me and I hope to playing again with you in the future. Good luck and hey, maybe I'll be rezzed. But I doubt it, since I played pretty poorly in some of your eyes.

Hellooo, What's going on?

Hellooo, What's going on?
How about you read the threads, follow along, and play the game?
Currently, we are waiting because few people are participating, and we are 1 vote away from a lynch on Archer2.
Amarysse2008-07-21 20:17:30
It would be nice if someone could do a bit of investigation, because we seem to be lacking that completely.
Arix2008-07-21 20:19:33
Well I sure as hell don't want to be the last vote on a lynch, I'd never hear the end of it

And I am reading t he threads. I have one window up reading from like three pages ago, and one up with current stuff so I can reply to things while still reading. And I am playing the game, I'm just not constantly parked at my computer as if this forum game is the only thing going on in my life, 'kay?

And that Hello was more of a conversational hello, not a 'give me details because i'm lazy' hello. Stop being so hostile, Dag

I have been thinking a similar thing. The scum does not have to kill anyone to win, they just have to stay alive.
Amarysse2008-07-21 20:28:43
Right. They don't actually have to do anything but seem as innocuous as possible and avoid making targets of themselves, and we lose.
We have to try to eliminate all of them before we reach the end of the journey, or we've failed utterly.

So Lowe made a roleclaim, flubbed an item because he either brainfarted or wanted to make the claim more interesting, and was unsure of the details behind one of his abilities?

Right. The problem with his claim(s) is that he admits he altered some details, and didn't pay attention to others. If his claim is genuine, then it doesn't make sense that Bali wouldn't have included anything at all about oaths, honor, laws, etc. or a profession that involves them. (If so, shame on Bali!) His role sounds more like a barbarian (settling down in a hamlet with slave girls? eh?) than a man of the law, but I suppose we'll see.
Unknown2008-07-21 20:37:27
As I said before, the power is called Lawman's Oath, but I didn't realise it meant "Police with a badge" more like "Honorable Person who does what's right".

Well I'm not sure about the whole thing. I really don't want to the final vote on a lynch, especially if it's possibly a townie that messed up a bit. But then again, I also don't want to prolong the day because of what Lowe said about the mafia. It's one of those annoying situations
Unknown2008-07-21 20:37:51
And yes, everything else sounds like a barbarian to me as well.
Arix2008-07-21 20:38:49
Well a lawman is usually some sort of policeman/sheriff/walker texas ranger

I might be mistaken, but for a few pages now you have been comming in sayin "hey, so whats new buddies?" as if you havn't read the posts and want us to summarize them for you.
I don't think its "hostile" of me to interpet your "heloooo" as the same sort of comment.
Unknown2008-07-21 20:40:58
If my theory is at all viable, it probably takes someone/some people pretty clever or knowledgable, so when I'm gone I suggest you all look at people like Thul or Shamarah (not pointing fingers, just giving examples).
Arix2008-07-21 20:42:32
Nope, the hello was just a hello. Although asking for a vote count last night was a legitimate request, since it's a lot of post scanning and I was just too tired to give it a shot
Thul2008-07-21 20:44:04
Archer flubbing the roleclaim once honestly didn't bother me at first. It was the hurried, repeated, and desperate attempts to cover that made me increasingly suspicious, and it doesn't help that the new information doesn't really fit with the old stuff.
He's had two and a half roleclaims so far. If that isn't enough to clear any lingering suspicion, it's just time for him to go.
