You used the necklace?

uh-huh. The necklace that Archer gave me. it was a one shot investigate.
Arix2008-07-23 05:38:03
gaaaaah when did I miss that handoff?
Arix2008-07-23 05:40:08
never mind, I found it. And that blows my theory on magic items to crap
Arix2008-07-23 05:51:02
Ok, I read Visaeris' post where he said Silferras seemed legit, and I can't find any roleclaims from Silferras at all. Did you mean someone else? Because it's possible I missed it in 50-odd pages of scanning.

It's has a sleeping charm on it and I can use it to stop someone from taking any action during the night. One use only, apparently.

Uh. Vis? Wanna explain how you pulled an investigate out of that necklace?
Thul2008-07-23 05:59:26
Also, thought.

I am Glindor, the Water Mage, and I am not scum.
Unknown2008-07-23 06:01:45
You can't find any roleclaims because I didn't make any. I don't know how he did it given Archer2's quote as seen above, but he somehow pulled it off, because he's right on about my legitimacy. Maybe the necklace changes in usage according to who has it?
Arix2008-07-23 06:02:19
Do you travel in a giant bubble, Thul?
Also, can anyone find the roleclaim Visaeris mentioned? I swear to god I looked through the whole thread and haven't seen it
Unknown2008-07-23 06:03:46
What roleclaim he mentioned?
Arix2008-07-23 06:04:29
Oh, I misread Vis' post. Well if the magical necklace says Silferras is townie, I'll believe it until the Goggles of Hindsight say otherwise

Beats me. It did what it did.

Lorick2008-07-23 14:10:52
Heh, mystical scrying stones you can buy at any ol muck shop. Well, least we got past the tower with little difficulty.
Thul2008-07-23 14:22:07
On reflection, it's entirely possible that Archer lied about the necklace's true purpose in order to prevent himself from catching a nightkill. I'll accept the investigation as legit at present.

So... Silferras is with the Fellowship, then? Did you just get the role fluff for her, Visaeris, or did you catch the abilities as well? Equipment? Gold acquired?

I ask this because "Pauper, on the journey for riches" sounds about two steps away from "in your pouches, taking your stuff," and I'm a little pissed about the thievery.
Thul2008-07-23 14:23:11
Also, Bali, update the front page, would you?
Daganev2008-07-23 15:11:24
Silfferis or Silvanus?

My armor gives me a 50/50 chance to resist being killed, and my sword gives me a 10% chance to resist agressive actions.

So of course now that I have free time to devote to this game' no one is talking.

Am I the only one who finds it slightly suspicious that Visaeris just randomly cleared somebody with the roleblocker necklace? I mean, we obviously can't lynch Vis, but we also have no way of ensuring he's actually on our team, either. I suggest that just because he has immunity we still shouldn't accept everything at face value.

I mean, look at how far he jumped down my throat when I roleclaimed and it was deemed too convenient. And that wasn't a situation that had been semi-confirmed as something completely different.

Two games (or was it three?) with him and Daganev still can't spell my name right. sad.gif

Anyway, I would find it suspicious as well if Visaeris randomly cleared someone with a necklace that didn't do what someone else claimed, and Thul's concern about the theft is a valid one, so I'll just come clean with the relevant information.

I'm Blaine, the pauper, on the journey for the riches as so accurately stated by our leader. My only worldly possessions are the rags on my back and 125 gold, which includes Shamarah's generous contribution. My fervent hope and lifelong dream is to finally not need to eat decomposing cheese and various unfortunate furry animals (though most not as large or as filling as a majestic moose would be). As a Peasant, I'm fairly useless in combat situations, and have no powers whatsoever since I'm an Everyman. The latter 'power' (or lack thereof) was what led me to question Rika's claim at first. The fellowship's victory is my victory.

I don't know how much Visaeris can confirm, but there's really nothing to be gained in hiding my role at this point since I'm plain vanilla, and avoiding the issue is just going to generate unnecessary speculation and suspicion. So, go forth, my fellows! Slay those warlocks and psychopaths, and save me from a lifetime of stale, measly meals!

If you have the time, can you find a pattern of bandwagon people, or people who arn't voting?

Actually, I'm thinking that if the warlocks don't have to kill us, then perhaps they wouldn't bother voting for people to lynch either?

I think we have enough information to start looking at patterns. (sorry I don't have the time to do that myself)

Visaeris, may I see the mechanical contraption?

Considering I still don't trust you and have no way of forcing you to give it back, not unless you have something decent to offer me. What do the sword and armor do?
