Everyone is glad to see that all travelers made it through the night unharmed.
Daganev has been REVIVED!
Finally, you get off the beaten path and back to civilization! This is just a small detour for the group to pick up supplies and a little rest. The city of Anthonia was close so it was decided unanimously that they should go check it out.
With cobbled roads and stone buildings, this city is a little more impressive than the quaint villages and hamlets you've seen so far on your journey. Its very busy: the streets are packed tightly, the merchants are screaming loudly, and the street-performers are doing strange things. The group decides to split up and then reconvene later in the day once they have picked up any supplies they might need.
There are several shops:

Once everyone is finished shopping, the travelers meet up at the town square for a group chat. Everyone is seperated into cliques, talking quietly. Nothing out of the ordinary. Over the din of the town and the noise of several conversations, one chat seems to spring into the ears of everyone nearby, having a silencing effect on the group.
"What really do we know about most of these people?" A man asks a smaller woman.
"Not a whole lot, to be honest. I dont even know you. I mean sure you haven't stabbed me in the back yet, but you never know." The diminutive woman states.
"Hrm, I suppose you're right. I would feel alot better if I just knew more about one person here. You know, their name, motivations, etc."
Another woman interjects, "That doesn't sound like a bad idea, how about you tell us all there is to know about yourself?"
The man laughs, "Psh, how about you, miss?"
The woman nods. "I can see where this is going. How about we put it up to a group vote. The person with the most votes will be asked to tell us all there is to know about himself. Is that settled?"
The group nods. - (Note that the player nominated will assume no responsibility. Any information given will be given by me.)

oh and Give contraption to daganev
Xenthos2008-07-29 02:41:52
I suppose I shall buy the orb then.
And, Slogoth, might it not be better to inquire about you? We can pressure Zetsu and find out whether his claim is plausible, but you on the other hand... you are our noble leader, and knowing beyond a doubt that you are who you have said you are seems worthwhile due to the perks you have gained as a result.

I already bought the orb. And no, not really? Since I am town and you couldn't lynch me even if I wasn't. Tactically speaking there's nothing to be gained by trying to check me out, so it'd be a waste of a wonderful challenge opportunity.

Hm. So you did. I missed that in your list of items.
Though you are right that using it to determine who to get rid of is a better idea. Hrm. I will inquire about Zetsu then. I do remain unconvinced about the second part of your argument-- confirming that you are who you say you are is a good idea regardless of whether or not you can be lynched, as it would allow for analyzing of your patterns along with others. However, that is quite a bit less of a sure thing.

Dammit, Visaeris. Trade you the torches for the bracelet. TRADE TORCH AND MATCHES TO VISAERIS FOR CORAL BRACELET
Or Buy coral bracelet from Zard's on the off chance that syntax has magically become relevant.
I'm not sure Daganev was revived on purpose... could have been that stupid device. Or the night-force could have been the stupid device. Honestly, I don't know what's what anymore and it's pissing me off. There's so much damn randomness in this game... I looked at Xenthos's "prize" for being chosen for the Philosopher and my first thought was "Oh, great. He's been handed a giant nightkill bullseye." If Arix hadn't raised his head that night... mmph.
Xenthos, anything at all from that prize? I read it as a one-shot, usable at night, whatever it does.
Zetsu, Revan, and Xenthos have yet to provide much in the way of useful information. Zetsu has Annoying Personality (Red) and I suspect some form of useful ability. None of this has been volunteered, I'm just going from my claim and Othero's. Xenthos has some form of socialization-based ability (or mental domination, possibly.) And Revan... uh.
Even with Revan's worrying lack of info, conditioned paranoia tells me that the correct path of action is Inquire about Xenthos.

The artifact deals with truth and lies, and, as such, I would prefer not to discuss what I have or have not done with it simply to keep it as an option in your minds (and thus encourage everyone to stay away from lies), but if you all wish me to discuss its current status I will oblige. Further, I am not entirely sure what is confusing about my ability-- I am able to hold my own in a debate, and eventually others often come around to my point of view. Is there any other point to a debate?

I'm going to Buy some Special Time with Candy
I'm kinda pissed off that someone revived Daganev, but I guess now we know he's a townie. *sigh* just have to put up with his uselessness I guess.

Any chance I can buy that compass from you Visaeris?
Also anyone want to pool money to buy the other things?
Also, I am shocked that I am alive... but umm WHY? Do I have some magic ability to get hit by affects that people target on someone else? wierd...
Anyway, people I would like to vote for to enquire about are:
Shamarah, Xenthos, Zetsu, Revan and Silvanus. (No particular order)
I'll vote for any of those people. I think having Visaeris talk about himself is a waste of our time.

Also, I would like to put the FOS on everyone who voted for me yesterday...
Harumph.
Actually, I take that back, I'm going to strongly FOS: Revan. He still hasn't told us what his challenge power is. (and is so far the only person we don't know the challenge roll for)

With the understanding that I was highly irritated that we'd lynched another townie yesterday, and that I'm really not trying to be malicious towards you, I'd like to put forth a hypothesis.
We are dealing with warlocks (or hopefully just warlock, on review of that hideously overpowered skillset of Lorick's.) What do warlocks do? Make pacts with evil creatures for power and casting spells of darkness and destruction... including raising the dead to do their bidding. I'm not sure what happened to our vigilante (I was fully expecting to get ganked during the night, might just be that the vig has to charge that ability) but I think it reasonable to say that if the warlock(s) wanted to raise someone, it would take the place of his/her/their nightkill action (and I'm hoping like hell it's a one-shot, otherwise we really are just screwed.) Daganev would be a prime target, as Lorick and Shiri are auto-lynch candidates, Rika is ineligible for resurrection due to modkill, Arix and Othero would look suspicious when they failed to get nightkilled right away, and Archer hadn't died so recently. Daganev would be largely free of suspicion, would not be looked at twice if he didn't get killed during the night, has some items and was unjustly lynched yesterday.
Of course, it could be a random magic effect generated by that device, a random event scheduled by the GM, or a good-intentioned priest ignoring the fact that, while lynching Daganev wasn't right, Arix would've been a much better strategic option. If you are a member of the Fellowship and you raised Daganev, please let yourself be known. If nobody wants to step up and admit to raising, however, I'm going to suggest that Daganev was raised by warlocks and needs to be put back down again. I'll wait to see if people respond, though.
I'd like to put forth a secondary hypothesis that says that Bali is a bastard. Arix was a cop with a lynch magnet descriptor. Xenthos's day prize should've gotten him targeted for nightkill immediately, and if Arix hadn't popped up, he probably would've been dropped (assuming he's not a warlock. Which... I want confirmed or disproved now. How is he still alive?) For reasons to be revealed in the future, I am super pissed off that the warlocks had to charge for two days before nightkills came into effect (I am assuming by the lack of kills for two days that they all share this effect.) Daganev's Bag of Trick, a highly suspicious one-shot with no clearly defined power, is probably the worst offense.
We can't really do anything about this except keep it in our heads that Bali likes complicated and twisty things to happen, in case another situation like the man with the eyepatch thing comes up... if there's a simple explanation, don't assume that's the answer, because it probably isn't. Locating his home address and pushing him down multiple flights of stairs is an option I'm saving for later.

Daganev2008-07-29 14:59:37
Actually, I think I just pieced together why I was revived, there was no kill last night, and the other Othero and Arix were not revived.
I am guessting that the night after Othero died, the reviver was rollblocked. Then the next night, with Othero dead, and Arix revealed, they knew that the next night whomever they revived would be killed. I.e. ,if they revived Othero, he would die right away, if they revived Arix, with Othero dead, he was also going to be dead right away. So they would not even have been able to use thier powers, and we would have gained no benefit from it.
So it might be good to revive a regular townie who would not be a target of the warlocks that night. Rika was modkilled, and Archer2's challenge ability had allready been used, so between me and Archer2, my challenge ability, which has not been used yet was the best choice for revival. Also, at this point with so few people left, not reviving someone would have made it too easy for the warlocks to win.
And I'm guessing that either the warlocks were not charged, or they were rollblocked last night.
Despite the forums being down, we need more people talking!

Umm, pretty much -everybody- said that at the time. Even a few people who voted for the merchant did so because of the sicilian game from the Princess Bride.
