Silferras won't be awake yet, Amarysse was lurking a minute ago, dunno about the other two.
Daganev2008-07-16 02:16:30
Ok, I have to go to a fancy dinner right now, but I was thinking about this for a bit, and I have strong suspions on why not to vote for Visareis as leader.
I'll make a for thorough post later if needed, as in one of those posts that has 10 quotes and anylzes them, but for now I have to run to the dinner.
So as not to leave people hanging the basic 3 reasons are.
1. Certain details about his claim which make me nervous (like having "resistance")
2. His great desire to be leader
3. The way he used terms such as "air tight" and asking us to find problems with his role.
(there are probably some other tings I will bring up in my long post)
For me its the existence of all these issues combined that make me feel that choosing visaeris as leader is just too dangerous.
Personally, I'd be much more comfortable with Thul as leader.
As for my own roll, if nobody else comes forward to be leader, then I'll give all the juicy details then. (sorry for the lack of accent, I'm in a rush to go)

Well.. Can someone please explain to me how having someone immune to lynch would be in the interest of the fellowship? Now that I sat down and thought about it, it would only cripple us. It would have no effect on those out to get us. So.. Is it possible _not_ to elect a leader?
Unknown2008-07-16 02:20:58
If you read the challenge, no, it's not.

I guess so. This being the case, and not knowing how much the extra money will help, our main priority would be someone expendable...and harmless. Even if Visaeris is right, he's definitely under suspicion from Daganev and others. And if they're right we hamstringed ourselves (not irrevocably probably, but somewhat.)
So what, we just random.com a person on the list and bandwagon elect them? If it's only for flavour then Visaeris' claim to being good at decision-making is irrelevant. For similar reasons there isn't much use in voting in Thul or I. We'd be best off voting someone irrelevant and counting on the odds that they're not scum.
Unnominate: Visaeris as leader
Nominate: requiem as leader
Still think we should be focusing on a lynch though.
Shiri2008-07-16 02:29:12
In fact, surely we're better off lynching someone, getting the info from that, THEN electing a leader, rather than the other way around.
Unknown2008-07-16 02:35:46
I made an inquiry to the powers that be on the topic and was told that some challenges do have ongoing reprecussions, and more information would be available on day 2.
Like I said, I think it's more than just flavour.
I also inquired said power that be about the nature of the challenges relative to lynches, and Shiri is correct that they can be done independent of one another and both must be completed to move on to night.

Then let's do a lynch first. We can decide on a leader after that.
Unknown2008-07-16 02:39:33
Works for me. As terrible as Silvanus' claim is, I find Daganev more suspicious. But I find him suspicious all the time, so I'm open to changing my vote if someone can provide a compelling argument elseways.

I'd have to agree that we definitely would be better off pursuing that plan. As such, I will go with a vote: Silvanus. The claim of being a prostitute seems to have a few too many holes for my taste, alternating between "liking" this profession, and seeking to no longer ply it at the same time (the entire reason for trying to become our leader), and that still leaves the main question: Why would we be expected to actually nominate this Bianca? She has given us no real reason for it, and all of this leaves me feeling with a rather strong feeling of suspicion.
Shiri2008-07-16 02:44:04
Silvanus and Daganev both half-claimed, as did Visaeris, so if we're pressuring someone it should be either those 3 or an inactive (hasn't been a full day yet though, not fair to jump on anyone for that yet.)
Arix2008-07-16 02:49:05
UNVOTE
VOTE: SILVANUS
I still think random leader votes are iffy, but i wanna har more about Silvanus' role since he was so kind as to volunteer information

Only Shiri would bring up pressuring inactives when day 1 started five hours ago.

Oh just to be clear I'm not in the group with the half-claimers. I gave you a full blown roleclaim. No more info to give.

I didn't know it was that soon ago! It must have been right before I woke up. I didn't check the timestamps.
Anyway, I did say to wait. It was just an option!
Thul2008-07-16 03:27:32
Silvanus's application for leader is based on the concept that it's no real harm if he gets nightkilled. Visaeris is applying with the notion that he's kill-resistant. Daganev is applying on the basis that...
*squint*
Uh. I think he just wanted to be leader. That's not inconsistent for him, though. He's only given name, race, and motive where the other two have at least hinted at abilities. Don't think he's seriously in contention at this point, however.
I still have concerns about Visaeris's desire to become leader and the veracity of his claim. It's clear that he wants the position. But given the choice between the three, I'd take him over either of the other two. I'm tempted to foist the role off on Shiri as option D) though.
Daganev worries me more at the moment, but Xenthos has a point, Silvanus hasn't seemed particularly consistent, either. Vote: Silvanus

Hey, I want credit for the point about Bianca's inconsistency.. Xenthos just repeated me!
In any case, I'm going to Unvote: Daganev pending the roleclaim he promised us when he got back.

The unfortunate thing about this is.
I roleclaimed completely 100% and you guys think I'm mafia.
I went for leader cause I'm a vanilla townie and I wanted to do something. My challenge is something about Sexual Prowess.
There is no other information I can present, I'm Bianca the Prostitute and I can buy hooker attire for fifty gold. All that I've said before.
I am going to:
Unvote: Arix
Vote: Daganev
Again, because we have to get to the root of the suspicion of the first bandwagon that both Arix and Othero(was it Othero or Thul? I don't want to go back and check all the pages) jumped on to nominate Daganev as leader, and then in the last page or two have gone on to say Daganev is suspicious and trying to distance themselves from him. If Daganev is proven to be Mafia, the next best bets is Arix and Othero/Thul (sorry, I can't remember correctly off the top of my head).

What do you mean, "your challenge is something about sexual prowess"? Individuals don't get challenges so far as we know...
And "can buy hooker attire for 50 gold"? My roleclaim doesn't have anything about what I can buy, only what I already have - I assume I can buy whatever the hell the shop has, when we find one.
I'm calling BS. But I think I already voted you so I'll just leave it there.
