Why do I have to hide it?

So that it won't get hurt.

Not hide them from your sig, mind you. On the dragon cave site, you can click "scrolls", then click "actions" for the egg that has a hole, and select "hide".

Why haven't mine started to hatch?

Just wanted to remind everyone that my dragons are in charge, once they are hatched, so don't get any ideas.

How long do I leave it hidden?

I think that what happens is if it gets a hole you hide it, but if it's getting soft it needs more clicks. Though I'm not sure. :X

I'm just recalling what Bhiele said.

According to the website, if it's getting soft, you're "overfeeding" it with too many views and such, and not an appropriate number of clicks.

Holes or cracks are indications that it's getting close to hatching.

Being broken horizontally means that it's dead.

A: There are several ways an egg can die. The most common is that it ran out of time. From the moment you get your egg, you have 7 days to help it hatch or the egg will not survive. Eggs can also die from soft shells, which can be caused by several different conditions.

Q: Why is my egg or hatchling sick?
A: Egg soft shell and hatchling sickness is caused by abnormal conditions in the egg. You might be "overfeeding" it, A.K.A. getting too many views in a short period of time. Sickness may also be caused by numbers that don't make sense. (After all, it isn't normal for 20 people to click an egg when only 10 people have seen the image.) It may also be caused by over-refreshing (E.X. having way more views than unique views).

Q: My egg is cracking/has a big hole. Is it sick/did it run away?
A: That is perfectly normal. In fact, cracking is a good thing, as it is a sign that your egg is beginning to hatch. The only bad egg image is if it is half an egg (dead).

Eggs take a few days to hatch I think too. Don't get discouraged people. Only reason I have one hatched is cause I picked up an abandoned one.

how do I log into my account or whatever and view all my eggies? I finally got somes..why are all of them soft shelled tho? There's something wrong with all of thems!

Er, the other two don't have soft shells. Read the FAQ on the Dragon Cave forums. I posted part of it earlier, but the original site would probably be more helpful.

when I first got them, it said its shell was soft as if something was wrong with it..oh well guess theyve been cured! Keep clickin yayyy...I think I've clicked everyone's so far heh
