I know I've posted this five times, but just hiding it works to help out the softness. When the soft wears off you can lift it from being hidden. I've had eggs I've just received with soft shell, before they even get clicked and with one day hidden they all turned out alright.

Hiding them won't always help. According to the forums, there are roughly four different causes of soft-shell/sickness.

Well, now that's it's unhidden it's not soft anymore.

Sounds interesting, but I can neither see the eggs in sigs or get to the website.. It just tells me access/permission denied or refuses to load at all. Oh well.
