Not scary. Awesome. Every time he was on screen he was hilarious. He was easily the best thing about the film. That was so goddamn good.

Why would you take five and seven year olds to see that movie

Same reason they bring babies along, people are stupid.

Heh, or Wall-E, not sure yet.

Sounds like a recipe for a sobbing four-year-old to me. I'd go with Wall-E.

Pft, you don't know my kid. He thinks Jesus kicked him off a cloud, because he was jealous of his powers, and he fell to earth, and that's how my son was born. He's odd like that. And he falls asleep watching adult swim >.<
He won't be scared, honestly just wondering if it will keep him entertained.
Daganev2008-07-23 23:36:15
Your kid thinks he is satan?
Jack2008-07-24 00:09:09
Screw your kids. Your kids are not the issue here. The best Joker of all time is the issue here and you people are obscuring him.

I have to agree.
I hate to say it, but Jack < Heath for Joker.
However, Tommy Lee Jones > That other guy for Two Face. The look of the new one was better, but Tommy Lee just did a better act of insane sociopath.
By the way, my son is using his powers to kill your puppy tonight.
Just sayin'

Come on, he went from the city's golden boy to crazed gunman in a couple hours. Give it time
Also, your kid is cool. Next step? "Hey little Timmy, did I ever tell you what those freckles were? No? It's simple! You get a freckle every time you disappoint Jesus."

Spoiler:
Dunno, I just thought that was funny. Alright, back to the grind.
I think my favorite part was when the Joker bounced out of the hospital with his nurse uniform on, and he was blowing up the hospital, and his remote didn't work. He was like, WTF. Prodded it a few times, and it worked

I've been working in a movie theater for about a month now, and the managers and coworkers opened all the registers in concessions and there were the line dividers up all throughout the lobby on opening night. It was insane, nonstop people all through 12:01AM on Friday to like 6:00PM on SUNDAY. Most were psyched about the movie, and there's no doubt in my mind that it IS the movie of the year.
Honestly though, I was a bit disappointed. I grew up with the batman movies before this and the last one. Not the ORIGINAL, but the older ones with Mr. Freeze (Arnold) and Poison Ivy.. The Riddler (Jim) and Two-Face. The penguin and Catwoman.. I liked them better.
I don't deny Heath did an excellent job, though. I don't really follow actors, but seeing the movie made me want to look at other things he's done. If I hadn't grown up with the other movies or the cartoons, I may have been just as excited as everyone else.

Don't take kids old enough to understand the basics of society to see that movie. Seriously. PG-13 is extremely generous, and this is coming from someone who generally has no trouble showing R-rated movies to kids. There's nothing in the movie worth censoring, so it's not rated R, but it's disturbing and convincing in its insanity. It makes for a great movie, just not for kids.

Heh, once he got suspended from Sunday School. He kept kicking women in the shins, and when asked why, he replied, "That's why I wear shoes, to kick girls!"

Hate to be the bearer of bad news (who am I kidding, I love it) but I might be that boy's father. Tell him 'daddy murphy' says hi, and when he turns 12 he better be getting laid like a rock star

I saw this movie last Saturday and I loved it. I thought it was awesome
I think Heath Ledger made this movie the success that it is, although i think Bale has done a terrific job in both movies. I also think that Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine also give it that nice touch that it wouldn't be the same without. I wonder why they replaced Katie Holmes for this one. It amazed me how different Ledger was from what i've seen of him before. Of course, the only other movie i've seen with him in it is A Knight's Tale, which was awesome. It is sad that he is dead, and
Also, I've been told numerous times that Wall-E is absolutely retarded. Save your $5
My favorite parts were the magic trick, the interrogation where Batman beat the :censor out of the Joker, and I also liked where Gordon turned out not to be dead after all.

I hope they find a good way to write the Joker out of the next one, just because it won't be the same. This was Ledger's unique character, and nobody would play it like him. I wonder if they will ever incorporate Robin into the next movie

What the .
Batman & Robin (1997 Ft. Arnold, George C., Alicia, Uma, and Chris O) is hailed as one of the worst movies of all time. It has a 12% on Rotten Tomatoes and doesn't even have a "cult following" that some awful movies do.

That reminds me of an oft recited story in my family. My brother apparently wasn't upset by Bambi's mom dying, or the end of Old Yeller, or any of those.
But when Optimus Prime died in that old cartoon movie, he was inconsulable for like two days.
