Sure, I don't mind an investigation. If anything, it would validate a few claims if it comes up.
Lorick2008-08-02 12:13:35
That said, I fail to see how you consider me and Revan to be the only possible targets of a lynch. One, you are the only person currently voting for me, and two, everyone is a possible target of a lynch. To think otherwise isn't a good mindset.
Lorick2008-08-02 12:30:36
Before I live for a while, I just wanted to say this.

For those voting for Revan, he isn't soulless or a traitor, he is part of a mason group. I would cease voting for him and pick a new target, as I'm sure either one of us will be the target of an investigation tonight, and if we are lying it will come up considering that would mean we are both scum. As it stands to reason a mafia group has very little to gain coming forward this early, and would normally let each other burn (And help in the process) it is also very unlikely that someone like me would come forward and make this claim. Also, considering no other mason group (For those that think I might be lying) has come forward to disprove me, I am logically most likely telling the truth. If you continue to vote for Revan, or are a part of lynching Revan, I will start with names from that list in picking out mafia. I encourage others to do the same. Anyways, I'm off. Play smart.

....Before I leave... Not live.

Before I go, I'd like to hear your opinion Shiri. Especially about Req, you guys have some sort of history or something that has him acting like Dag?

No. I think req just assumes that he can't act like he thinks Thul's urge to claim is scummy, because he...claimed. So we can't expect him to vote that way. I'm guessing that's his point anyway. And Revan is the only other major train atm.

Still, we should at least get a roleclaim out of Thul. A proper one. Then consider if he needs lynching.
Lorick2008-08-02 13:14:06
Yeah, I agree with letting them claim then deciding if a lynch is needed. And I guess I can see where Reg is coming from but in my mind he isn't out of the woods. He plays with aggressive claims, and used it to good effect before he lurked and was lynched.
Unknown2008-08-02 13:50:40
So if Lorick is Amberle then does that make Revan = Meridian? Or wasn't that role already taken up by someone else? I'd like to hear the proper role claim too.

Have to say I agree with Requiem on several points. Not really ready to switch my vote yet until we get some more info.
Serella2008-08-02 14:49:42
Wow, both Revan and Thul have quite a train started up since I left.

I don't think Revan is scum, and in fact he posted against the whole roleclaim idea (with caps and exclamation points, no less). I didn't know a roleclaim would be such a terrible scum-minded idea, and I really thought it would give us something to work with and leave certain people in the clear. confused.gif Since it turns out a roleclaim at this point in the game is a Very Bad Thing, and it was Thul's idea, it makes sense to prod him for a full roleclaim so we can confirm his motives. As Shiri said.

Thul hasn't posted since he drew even in votes with Revan, so I'll wait for him to speak before I cast my vote.
Lorick2008-08-02 15:34:17
The role hasn't been claimed, and if Revan wishes to come forward with his role, whatever it may be, it is his choice. Personally, I was against the whole massive name claim, sort of hoping for mafia to speak up with familiar names from the histories, or going for the extreme and less known. It would be either of those, and personally I was hoping to catch a few.

All that aside, I'm vouching for Revan currently. He isn't scum, he is part of a mason group, and to be honest I can only really be certain the first day about anything considering the possiblity of a cult. People trying to squeeze him are acting particularly scummy, considering they themselves can't really say they are also beyond a shadow of a doubt in my mind. My advice, lynch someone else, and let an investigator check one of us. They don't speak up, and you get a confirmed town voting block which is by itself a very powerful force against mafia. I'm very surprised at how little Req disregards masons.
Lorick2008-08-02 15:35:19
...Isn't part of a mafia group. Damn, I need sleep.
Unknown2008-08-02 15:54:45
Fair enough, I don't see why Lorick would stick his neck out for Revan like that unless he had reason to (fellow mason being threatened, validating his own innocence), and it's a fair move on his part. Barring Revan calling him a liar, that's reason enough to take the heat off Revan for now.

Unvote

While roleclaiming like Lorick did isn't particularly wise on the first day either, it did serve a purpose. Thul's encouragement of nameclaiming can either be his need for information, as stated, or simply scummy role-fishing in order to pick out valuable night targets. At the moment, I'm inclined to think the latter.

Vote: Thul
Lorick2008-08-02 16:08:43
Yeah, I helped light Jigan's pyre. I normally wouldn't act thus.
Xenthos2008-08-02 16:33:48
Given what I know, I have no real trouble accepting Lorick's claim at all. While I would like to hear Revan's name at some point... simply being the first to come forward with (what appears to be at this point) a common game mechanic does display a certain knowledge that I don't think the scum would have had access to as of yet.

... however, now that it is more common-knowledge, I think I'll be far less trusting of other two-pair vanilla Mason groups that step forward.
Revan2008-08-02 17:18:01
meh, i can't believe I have to do this.

Yes I'm Meridian and in a mason with Amberle. investigate, whatever, but I think you should save investigations for someone else anyway since either Lorick or myself will be getting offed tonight anyway because of this.
Unknown2008-08-02 17:19:34
I'm on break from my good driver class. I'll post more in depth at the next break about why, but I'll buy Lorick's explanation for now.

Well something is better than nothing, I think I'll buy it for now..

Unvote: Revan

I'm not entirely sure if Thul is scummy though.. suspicious.gif
Saaga2008-08-02 17:30:57
Hrm. Unvote: Revan for now. I wasn't very excited about Thul's mass roleclaim in the first place (at least, on the very first day!) so here it goes. Vote: Thul
Saaga2008-08-02 17:31:35
I'm not sure if Thul's scum either, but adding a bit of pressure.
Thul2008-08-02 17:38:31
Alrighty, I'm here. This will take a bit, so give me a few.
