Okay, got my investigation. It had nothing to do with you, Shiri. it said Thul was Maylea, and Req is Orlachmar

Heh, now the question is...

Was shiri lieing on purpose to see if you had looked up the roleclaim or not? Or is he being oddly wrong lately?

Did Rika really just give you that info, or did you get that info from the post I quoted where she asked for a replacement?

l'sigh.

Well, i obviously can't quote the PM. We could always wait, and have Shiri investigate me tonight, but there's not much I can do to defend myself

any insight into the dissapearing fain body?
Doman2008-08-12 06:06:41
My personal belief? i think that Orlachmar ate him like he did to volkh in the histories, but it's also possible that a soulless ate him

I was lying on purpose, hence my "it would be easy to check up" line. tongue.gif

He didn't fail that test, but I'm still not convinced. The odds are against him.
Daganev2008-08-12 06:08:34
Shiri, I was just going over the claim, and I think there was a 9 in 20 chance that each of the rolls would bring up a person who had already claimed a name. So the odds really aren't all that low.

Can you show me how you worked that out? I got terrible at maths lately. Subjectively it seems much lower than that.

20 people alive at the time, 9 of them had declared thier names.

Also, if we don't hear from Requim in the next 30 minutes, I'm going to accept Doman's theory and vote for Requim. However, since I'm going to bed shortly, I'm going to

Vote Requim now, and hopefuly unvote when he comes back and explains whats going in the next 30 minutes.

The reason I'm voting for requim are the following:

1. He may not be lieing, but that doesn't mean he isn't a traitor, even if he is trying to claim Miller.
2. Even if he is Miller, it seems like things were set up for Fain to die earlish allowing Requim to harvest the body and grab the elixir. Fain's role says that the elixir can have bad side affects, and I have a suspicion that one of the side affects is becoming a traitor.
3. His logic in the past has been of such quality that I have tried to ignore the lines of thought he tries to bring up. They seem too much like trying to get everyone as paranoid as possible so that we doubt ourselves. (and so far our instincts have been good, yet he still wants us to doubt ourselves)

All of these reasons I'm sure have good explanations, and I await them in the next half hour.
Daganev2008-08-12 06:20:20
Also, remember that I had allready unvoted Doman/serrella before, and I'm not going to vote for Doman simply to prove that I don't have the double vote. My point being, I'm not really switching my vote because of Doman's eplanation, however I am trying to move the conversation along, because I don't think there is much else for Doman to say to defend himself. We either believe him, or we don't.
Shiri2008-08-12 07:05:39
Ok...so for him to have gotten two whiffs, that's 9/20 * 9/20 (if you're right), yeah? Which is in 81/400, or almost exactly 20%. Odds are still against him. Actually it's more like 8/19 * 7/18, if it couldn't hit himself and if it couldn't hit the same target twice. My dodgy computer calculator makes that out to be 0.16.

So the odds are still heavily against that kind of behaviour. Plus, we do have a proven investigator and a highly-likely one-shot investigator of the more conventional kind already.
Shiri2008-08-12 07:06:19
Also, requiem seems to be hiding today, think I should go ahead and say what I found in case he's lurking to try and hide?
Silvanus2008-08-12 07:09:06
Like I said on day one or two after Requiem claimed Orclachmar, I would've lynched him at any point due to him having the elixir in him no matter what.
Doman2008-08-12 07:14:49
Tell us, shiri
Unknown2008-08-12 07:23:14
<- wants to know whom Shiri investigated.
Unknown2008-08-12 07:30:07
<- wants to know that as well as what Shiri theorises/found out.
Doman2008-08-12 09:25:27
heading to bed, Be back later "today"
Lorick2008-08-12 12:11:05
Hard drive fried. Going to be sporatic at the local college for roughly 2 weeks. I'll try to stay up to date, but don't expect my activity to be the same.

Personally, I'm more likely to believe Doman (Yes, the guy voting for me) than others currently. Doesn't mean he might not be scum, but he does have a background to the power that all of us have witnessed (Was away for a day, returns tired, tells two useless investigations). Now, if this was a real rule, it would of been extremely useful in most games because we had mass claim on day 1. I'm willing to chalk this up to more bad luck on his part at our ability to paste bullseyes on us than him being scum.
Lorick2008-08-12 12:13:17
I've been all for Requiem for a bit now. I know Revan felt the same, although I'm not sure if the events of this day have changed that or not...

EEM- Yeah... We are a voting block. We claimed a voting block day 1... Are you just not reading?
