Ok, well req has been away like 2 days now, so:

He is indeed Orlachmar. He is also the one eating all our corpses. I got no sign that he was with the elders; and if he had, say, eaten me before Lantra could rezz me, that would be a problem. I notice he's eaten Fain. I have no idea what this means and was hoping I could catch him lying about his role and determine it better one way or the other.

Since he isn't here, and given this, I would totally understand a bandwagon on him, but I'd still rather go for the 83.6% chance of Doman being scum.

Well.. I wish you told us this information a bit sooner, it does change things. Eating our corpses most likely isn't good at all.

Unvote : Shou

Vote : Requiem dot Ex

I wanted to try and catch him lying (which he might if he was scum, especially with the Silferras bluff.)
Lorick2008-08-12 13:13:31
Personally, I can't wait to hear the "It's GOOD cannibalism" defense.

I'm reading the thread. Don't kill me.

I was gone for a couple days and my phone died.

I'm going to give req a chance to respond, but eating corpses and Excorpiditio or however you spell it? That's more than just a LITTLE suspicious. If he doesn't give me something satisfying, I am going to switch my vote because that just reeks of soulless/traitor powers.
Daganev2008-08-12 15:11:18
Ok, if Requim hasn't posted yet, he is definitly hiding. Today is the first day to break his posting patttern.
Unknown2008-08-12 15:11:36
Talk about timing....
Lorick2008-08-12 15:35:02
Yeah, speak of the devil.
Shiri2008-08-12 15:39:25
Right after I give up my information too. This had better be good.
Unknown2008-08-12 15:39:55
Shall wait on the results of his reading.

Nice timing, though. Sounds a little like Morgfyre/Shayle, eating corpses and maybe gaining powers from them, one way or the other.. He might not be Traitor-scum, but given the information, I highly doubt he's town. The explanation better be good.
Unknown2008-08-12 15:42:52
OK posting now. I haven't been home since Saturday morning (it's Monday afternoon for me now) so I apologize for the wait.

(more to come)

I was thinking the same thing, however the "right after" was really 3 hours later tongue.gif
Lorick2008-08-12 15:48:52
To be fair, I haven't seen him. To be honest, that doesn't really matter.

Ok, I'm Orlachmar, Bearer of the Excoroperditio (as previously established.) I fight for the Elder Gods against the Twelve and the Soulless. I think I said this on day 1, but I'll check that once this post is finished. I'm the original test subject for the AwesomeJuice, which made me uber cool. My soul is affected, but my purity shines through, yada yada. This is the stuff I posted previously.

I have the one time ability to CONSUME to gain the abilities of said Elder, but the abilities might come in limited form. I was going to eat Illith on the first night, but Rika told me I can't take killing powers. Then I read it again and noticed it specifically said Elders, so I assumed that meant only non-scum since I win with the Elders. But when I asked Rika if I could eat Fain she told me I had his elixir.

I feel compelled to point out that I haven't been eating corpses all along. I'm not sure exactly what information Shiri got, but it's a one time deal. Now I have the one time elixir. I went along with eating Fain for a couple reasons. First, he was obviously a bad guy. I drew enough attention to myself yesterday that I figured Shiri would probably investigate me. Once he said he wasn't getting complete information I was slightly more concerned and I wanted to go with someone that would be as unambiguous as possible.

I'm also immune to night kills by virtue of being able to fight off attacks. I really, really hope Shiri got that part of my abilities too because I know NK immunity is a highly suspect claim. But that's why I wanted Shiri to investigate me. Absent a day killer, the only way I'll die is if you guys lynch me. It really sucks that Shiri can't completely confirm my allegiance though.

I had originally planned to wait until the doctor died and then eat him, but then I actually thought about it. If the doctor dies during the day, then I eat him the next night and Shiri is dead by morning. If the doctor is night killed, the same thing happens. Shiri dies while I'm busy eating the doctor. This way I can bring him back, even if only for one day. As a confirmed townie with a lot of experience, Shiri will be fairly useful even if he dies again the next night.

Keep in mind that the "side effects" were originally written for Fain. So whatever the bad thing was, was something bad for the traitors. My guess is that the elixir brings people back without any abilities. It would make sense from a game balance perspective, but not so much with the theme. I seriously doubt that the side effects would have been beneficial to Fain.

I'm going to go ahead and post this so people can read it, and I'll probably add more when I read it again.

Holy :censor: on a toothpick!

Lorick, let me PM Rika and see what she wants to do about that.
Lorick2008-08-12 16:10:05
Huh?
Shiri2008-08-12 16:11:10
I cannot confirm your night-resistance, I didn't get anything like that.

As for eating Fain, if what you're saying is true, that is somewhat dubious because I think the "complications" of the thing Fain would do involve converting them to scum or something - NOT a disadvantage for the scum, because think about it, the scum already can't rezz themselves because we'd be like UHHH right you raised Morgfyre why? *pwn both*

Plus, with two investigates (16% chance three), a normal doctor somewhere, a one-time permanightkillimmune, one OR two mason groups, and all kinds of this stuff going around, I wouldn't find it too out of place for scum to get a useful power like that - it'd let him fake one-shot rezzer or something easier but we'd still notice stuff. I dunno. Fain was known to have the elixir and I'm not sure we'd be convinced of the "omg fain is a townie" scenario when we already were suspicious about traitors.

The "comes back without powers" thing is also believable, though.

Anyway, this is kind of frustrating since I don't know whether to believe you or not, and I'm annoyed my investigation didn't actually figure out your side. I'm going to stick with Doman for now because my distrust of him is totally independent of my distrust for you.

Also I have no idea what this post is about.

Anyway, g'night.

Hmm, my idea of the side effects as they became more Soulless like. Fain's Elixer brought them in on your side (The Traitors), but there was a chance they would go rogue and start eating people.
