I'm waiting to hear from Rika before I do anything else.
Lorick2008-08-12 16:34:56
That.. Sounds like a day power. Guys, a little help?
Thul2008-08-12 18:06:43
Can't focus when I've got six people acting highly suspicious. Rrr.
I'll have to look it over again later, but I think Shou could've pretty easily just taken Daganev's conclusion and ran with it. This wouldn't mean that Dag is scum, it would mean that Shou saw something he liked and jumped on it.
Just by the description of Req's ability, and who he chose to devour, I'm tempted to push for his lynch just as a general safety precaution. The inconclusive result on his alignment doesn't make me feel good, either... I think I'd be more concerned if he came up completely clean, though, oddly enough.
And am I the only one getting some severe, severe "coded language" vibes from Lorick just now? Lorick's ping-pong voting isn't helping matters either.
He does have a point in that... well, Req's ability as described looks more like a day power than a night power. I think the only person in the game who's demonstrated a need for a POWERWORD (target) type ability is Silvanus, who needed to HEALING MOUND someone. Fain's ELIXIR (target) works in the same manner, but Shiri's night ability doesn't require a word, Fain's kill doesn't require a word, and so I don't see why consuming a victim in the night would require CONSUME (target).
Serella's earlier RESEARCH ON XION thing is suspicious for similar reasons. Vague suspicion that her replacement is really Raezon.

my browser is punking on me, so sorry if my posts come late or are irrelevant/doubled up.

Ok, right now I'm really just not trusting Requim.
He keeps telling us to look closely at his claims, as if telling us to look closely will make us trust him, so we don't really look too closely.
I don't believe Requim that he has nightkill immunity.
All the other powers that we have seen so far are really slightly nerfred versions of powers we are familiar with.
The SK, lilith, only had a percentage chance of killing, not a straight kill.
The elixir has drawbacks. Xyl has a random chance for gathering info. Shiri/Keph, can see all, but we don't get anything about allignment like a normal cop does. We have a one shot investigate which only gives tidbits of info, not all the info. None of the powers are sure fires. (even zetsu's protection only protected against traitors)
Its really just too convinced for Requim to want to consume fain. I don't get why the "bearer of the extropedio" would need to consume Fain, for the Elixir of Extropedio.
Either Requim looks bad because everything is set up to make him look bad (but he is really innocent), or he looks bad, because really, he is bad. I'm not a big fan of elaborate conspiracies to make an innocent look bad.
I'm keeping my vote on Requim.

I think lorick is asking for a quick lynch before Requim uses his daypower.
Doman2008-08-12 18:37:10
Okay, I don't know if I'm going to believe him. I only got names, but considering how detailed he is, it's either an over-elaborate lie, or Req is just wordy. I'm gonna listen a bit more before i judge

Req is almost always wordy. That doesn't mean its not a giant constructed lie though.
There are so many twists and turns in his role it doesn't jive well with me.
Daganev2008-08-12 18:43:52
I feel like Req went, ok.. how can I make this work, so that nomatter what I'll be confirmed by mechanics, yet still have the town trust me.
And then he came up with his plan and said: "Look at how airtight my plan is, even though I look really scummy, if you analyze my claims they come out perfect! That's how well I planned ahead!"
Sort of reminds me of that scene in Ocean's 13 where the guy as the ekg modifier, and the person giving him the lie detector test says "I love technology, just looking at you, I'd think you are being evasive, but the machine says you are clean. Welcome to the company."

First off, Zetsu was able to protect against Traitor's kills.
Second... We haven't found a traitor able to kill.
And we have Requiem waiting to hear back about a day power.
I'm currently thinking Requiem is their killer, and also happens to be their cleaner. He kills, consumes, and who knows maybe he can absorb powers. I don't think he is night immune, and I don't believe he is with the town. Can I please have a hand here? a

Another note, this would help explain why we had people who died disappearing from the get go.
Doman2008-08-12 19:20:21
Didn't we only have one disappearance? Fain's? Fain was the leader, so he decided who to kill, when he died, that went to Morgfyre. The last traitor is the "killer" now, at least that's what I think happens. Still kinda new to mafia, but if I am right on this subject, then if seems kinda scummy to say that.

The sun rises, heralding dawn, the beginning of DAY TWO.
Seventeen Elders gather around, all anxious of what happened during the night. Two of the nineteen from the day before were missing, however: Shiri and Serella.
After some searching, the body of Shiri was found within tunnels in the mountains. It became obvious that he was:
However, Serella, or whatever remained of her, was still nowhere to be found.
With seventeen alive, it is 9 to lynch.

Sixteen Elders gather, hoping that they had all survived the night. It wasn't long before they realised one of the group from last night was missing: Zetsu. Reports came in that Clangorum was attacked the night before while he was at his forge, all that remained was his mallet. It is apparent that Zetsu was:
Shortly after this discovery, a tired Serella returned to the rest of the Elders.

The sun rises, heralding the dawn of DAY FOUR.
Fifteen of the group gather. With the events of the past few days behind them, the Elders look to see if anyone didn't make it through the night. A quick count shows that it was Shayle who did it not make through the last night. However, nothing could be seen from her body. A voice, or a multitude of voices, was heard screaming in agony the night before. It was clear that Shayle was the victim to yet another attack. She was:
Also, the body of Archer2, or Fain, also disappeared during the night.
With fifteen alive, it is 8 to lynch.

Ok, Day two, the body in tunnels, Serella goes missing.
Day three, no body, Serella comes back.
Day four, no markings on body, but Fain's body is gone.
Lorick2008-08-12 19:33:47
Normally yes, although in some games you do have certain individuals who do the kill, or gain a particular benefit for them doing the kill.
Daganev2008-08-12 19:34:31
Of the choice between Serella/Doman, and Requim, Requim is the more scary one to me.
Lorick2008-08-12 20:12:25
Can we as a group agree that Requiem looks quite bad, and is most likely a danger, and thus it would be in all of our interests to see this through?
Doman2008-08-12 20:18:35
Unvote Lorick
Vote Requiem
I get the feeling this is a bad idea, but, I agree that he's too suspicious to let slide

Rika, typo or intentional?
Day two: With seventeen alive, it is 9 to lynch.
Day three: With 17 alive, it is 9 to lynch. also "Sixteen Elders gather," etc.
Day four: With fifteen alive, it is 8 to lynch.
The hell happened there?

Serella was still technically alive
Daganev2008-08-12 20:20:40
intential, 16 gathered, then 1 showed up after (i.e. Serella/Doman) (I assume its just flavor)
