Just an idea that popped into my head after several wargames and free-for-alls : We could have unlimited enemies or allies IN the arena, so that during a wargame or freeforall we don't have to unenemy a whole bunch of people who SHOULD be enemied to enemy people on the other teams or everyone else, and when we get out of the arena, the enemy or ally list goes back to normal, how it was before getting into the arena.
This helps if people forget to unenemy a citymate and then during a defense or raid, we're accidently killing eachother, or if we don't have somebody enemied because we forgot to re-enemy them destroy us because some of our attacks aren't affecting us. Hope I made much sense there.. what are your thoughts on this? It'll be really useful in wargames and freeforalls.

Good for demesne users and bards .

It would make ally-dependent archetypes deadly...

Yes, all in the arena though! So it would really maximize the power of these skills.. And the way they should be!

These skills were meant for a limited target. If this were to be implemented, bard/druid spars would have a sure win.

I don't know what you're misunderstanding here, but you're misunderstanding something. A bard/mage always has whoever they need enemied, it's just inconvenient when you keep having to unenemy/reenemy people after spars. I don't think a single situation has come up where you literally cannot enemy everyone you need to in a fight, especially not in the arena.
And if they can't have a sure win with 20 enemies, they're not having one with 21 either.

Seems like what would be better would be for the arena to save your ally and enemy lists before you enter and restore them when you leave, the way it does with some-but-not-all other things.

I'm with Gwylifar here. It'd be great if your ally/enemy list were restored to what it was before the arena fight when you finished in the arena. It's not -that- hard to reverse on your own, but people always forget to do it.
And sorry, Shan, but no to unlimited enemies/allies inside the arena. If the above were implemented, you'd never need that anyway. When's the last time you were in a fight with 20+ people on each side, anyway?

I suppose what Gwylifar suggested works too, I thought about the unlimited enemies/allies thing in the arena so that we wouldn't have to unenemy a bunch of people inside the arena to enemy, but I guess I'm just being lazy there

You'd just UNENEMY ALL when you got to the arena, then when you came back out, they'd all be enemied again, that's all.
