Don't think Etherglom counts as a commune. Restriction there would be 5 rooms from avatar or nexus.

Mebbe...but the problem is, I lessoned 2/3 of em.
On an unrelated note, 1337 credit bid on the torus. NICE.
Oh, and Geb can't make one in Etherglom.
it cannot exit into a commune

The only part of EthGlom that actually "counts" as Glomdoring territory (mechanically) is the Nexus itself. Same with EthSeren. That was changed a long time back (we used to be able to have guards in every room of our Ethereal territory, which brought up terms like "Ethereal Fortresses"). It also means that people without trans Planar don't conglut in our Ethereal area any more, unfortunately. That was the worst part of the change, IMO-- the conglut for newbies trying to defend was great.

I just love how many of the idea (even the names!) came directly from the players! I almost feel like I need to buy some credits and bid on some of my ideas.
If you have cool artifact ideas go post in the thread! It works!
I am particularly fond of the boots of astral jumping

The previous auctions seemed to have more interesting stuff, but the things up for grabs aren't too shabby either, especially the rings/censers.
1337 credits for the torus, eh.

Ungulate Circumambulation being made a Hunting skill or artifact makes me a Sad Panda... I was hoping against hope for an Environment skill.
Anyone figured out Tully's Broom? (Rave to it being Tully's Broom, by the way.)

Does Tully's broom sweep shadows, by any chance? If so... that's really nice. Really, really nice.
As for Ethereal communes, I don't see why the Torus can't be set to have exits there. Though the Ethereal communes do need various changes to make them less of a fortress anyways.

It sounds like it removes anything that can be PICKed (for example, all herbs), as well as removing poisonous clouds.

I wonder if it was supposed to be "everything that can be picked up into oblivion". So it won't destroy flamed sigils or nexii, for instance.
Doman2008-08-03 03:05:04
someone could be evil and sneak into a stockroom if that is the case

Edit: Actually, it got explained to me. Nevermind!

Not really impressed with this array of artifacts, especially after seeing what the other realms are getting for theirs. Alot of this is just mundane useless stuff. Can't break demesnes with the censers. the broom is... meh. Credits for avoiding cows? I think i might just faint.
The torus is the only thing worth getting.

I disagree. The astral boots look cool, as well as the esteem mask, and the pearl ring for Celestians since they're always swimming around, I wouldn't mind having any of those.
On the other hand, I can't really think of 6 places I'd want to go bad enough to pay the extra money that the torus is bound to cost, especially since autowalking has taken a lot of the inconvenience of going places away.
Also find it hard to get excited about the emote, since you can already make your own and alias them. Could be worth some credits for the pose, and having an emote that doesn't have to start with your name, but eh.

Not everyone has them, obviously, plus you can't target them.

After having seen the list of what's offered in other IRE games' auctions, I am more than happy to see that none of Lusternia's auction items are as stupidly OP or imbalancing compared to what's been offered over there. Even if our items aren't as "interesting" or "fun".

The 6 exits are just cool flavor, the real value comes from having an instant escape method that no one can set a trap for. Enough main fighters in each org have a cubix now that it is not really a safe room any longer. It is not game breaking but it is going to be worth a nice premium.
This is my first auction here, the help file does not make it clear, is it possible to bid on something as a gift for someone else (or transfer your win to someone else)?
Aramel2008-08-03 04:37:34
I got outbid.
The custom emote sounds fun though. I'll wait till week's end and see if there's anything I can still afford then.

Hmm, yeah. Didn't think of that.
