You only get away with that if you're one of those "lost cause" Magnagorans and the Iron Council realizes you cannot positively impact proceedings in any way whatsoever.

LIKE ME!

But noone ever even MENTIONED it to m- oh, son of a b***h.
At least I'll always have a spot as long as whoever is in charge needs someone to blame for everything, or tie to their armour as added health.

I suggest you ask yourself why Ardmore joined Magnagora. What exactly drew him there? Did something draw *you* there? Delve into Mag's Histories, and decide for yourself if there's some hidden RPers wandering about within Mag.

Ardmore joined Magnagora because of an OOC reason that was making me bummed out in Serenwilde. There was no IC reason in the least, I just needed a change and flipped a coin between Celest and Magnagora.

Yeah I should take a break, all I really do is use the game as a chatroom anymore (which isn't that great since I only have two OOC clans rolleyes.gif )

Xiel does the offer still stand if I wanted to join Serenguard and not Spiritsingers? dribble.gif

Magnagora's fun depending on who you know/interact with and depending on how YOU want to play the game. Sadly, alot of the "fighter" types will ignore people unless they're leading raids/defences. I'd go for the more bookish/cultured people like Linaeve, myself, Kailanna, Vashner, Nariah, etc. if you want good RP. Otherwise, if you're a fighter, hang out with people like Thoros, Vathael, Ixion, etc.
Desitrus2008-08-04 16:50:24
Sounds lame, come2celest obviously.
Ardmore2008-08-04 18:49:50
unsure.gif So you have a direct line to insult me instead of over a clan I can ignore? No thanks. Hmph.

Unenemied to Celestia, Moonspirit and Spiritsingers ( wub.gif Asmodea )
Aquamancers, Terentia, Celestines, Celest, Moondancers, Lisaera and Serenwilde to go!

My gold supply is dwindling. quiet.gif

Now the question: Serenguard, Spiritsingers or Paladin... Choices choices.

Suggestions?

Why would you have to get unenemied to Celest, it's guilds, and it's gods? I've been Seren forever and for most of the time I've been enemied pretty much everywhere. Did I miss the memo, or are you just clearing them off as a fresh start?

Also, Spiritsingers have candy. It might be illusory candy, but it's totally awesome anyway.

Paladins have uber-strict RP and discpline/respect stuff from what I remember.

Spiritsingers have a lot of RP, but not so much on the strictness, from what I know.

It's been a while since I played, but, from what I remember, Serenguards pretty much leave you alone.

I'd say not Celest, only because if you've made friends in Mag, you'll find them being made fun of, etc. At least in Seren you can keep your Mag friends, for the most part.

We have real candy too. Just to keep you guessing about which is the illusory candy.

This applies to all celest guilds but I think the paladins do a better job of enforcing it for the most part and the cantors the least (just from what I have seen).

I actually hear very few public mocking or insults of specific mag players, mostly the insults apply equally to all tainted. I grant that it is probably more than you would find in Serenwilde but I would not expect a huge disparity.

Also for what it is worth as this seems to be one of the things that got it in your mind to change, I have never once been yelled at by anyone in celest for not defending or not defending well enough. In fact I often receive praise and favours for what I would consider token efforts. That is not to say that moral is always high in the city, but I think for the most part those in power do their best to ensure that they reward effort and do not place unreasonable expectations on you.

suspicious.gif Yeah - getting unenemied for fresh start. I have to figure out some goals in the game, that'll help me decide. I want to become a superb fighter - I'm good, but I want to be great. Want to be Demigod... But I want to be left the hell alone when I want to be left alone!

Hrm! Surprisingly enough, it seems it's easier to get unenemied to Celest, which I've raided numerous times (sigh... peer pressure. I hate you Thoros), than Serenwilde which I once killed a guard. Lame. People who don't know how to handle power shouldn't be given it. True story.

I'm joking about Thoros, he's a good guy. I know that opinion will change when I'm on the receiving end of his hammers though.

All your replies are appreciated, they really are.

I've heard Seren fines are outlandish. But Myrkr lives in Seren, so, I'm safe from those (for now ).

Is the reply "cookies" appreciated as well? dazed.gif

Instead of on terms of others, why don't you look at the pros and cons?

You want to be a great fighter - that's probably a good sign to go Spiritsinger (although I would anticipate a few nerfs in the future). And I know that some roleplay is important to you.

Paladins are good, but as you know it takes a lot to be a good (non-demigod, non-runed), warrior. No other guilds in celest are tanky aside of Cantors.

Cantors are a lame and rather useless guild (aside of Wuylinfe wub.gif and a few choice other Cantors) and low on the combatant scale.

Spiritsingers make better bards. They also have better roleplay, a more active guild, and they actually use their stage. If you can get past the potential GM/GA conflict/tension/drama, the guild is definitely worth joining.

I don't know much about the Serenguard. You'd have Shuyin on your side, though!

Overall, I'd say go Spiritsinger. You made a great bard, that's where your roots are, so why give it up? Plus, as everyone knows, robe wearers are better than the forgers now with trueshield. As a Spiritsinger, that's a lot of tankiness and a lot of awesomesauce. Plus, as a Seren, you'll have a relatively easy time reaching Demigod.

Plus any Mag friends you made, you can sort of keep while in Seren, whereas in Celest, you can't. Plus, forests have A LOT less urgency for fighting than the cities, so you can be left alone when you want to.

Ardmore2008-08-05 22:50:19
I -do- still have my lyre from the Spiritsingers!

But still... I got tired of bard - that's why I went warrior. It's too soon to go back.

Dude, don't leave Mag. Store your stuff in a rack, make an alt, spend some time on it, then come back to Ardmore. Trust me, it works.

Taking time off from the game isn't going to make me suddenly start liking the people I don't like, or make them lose their jerkiness.

It will if you take off from the game to find these people and beat them over the head with a metal bat?

No, dude.

Look, this is what I do. When people start pissing me off, I store all of my stuff, and make an alt. I pick a person I don't like, make an alt near them. After a while, I realize that people are just people, and for the most part, people REALLY aren't trying to piss you off, they just play their role.

If it's the boredom thing, Alts are your best choice.
