Honestly, I'd support a helpfile type thing...because I have no clue about d'Murani history. The only things you learn about Mag families is some snippets in the Collegium and if you bother to do the Presidio stuff.

Shiri has some awesome backstory written up, but if it doesn't get approved, Talnara has what, "We used to be an all-furrikin family until we got a bit bigger, we've got a bunch of demis."? Like he said, unless you just list the accomplishments of prominent members, what else are you going to put there?

Also, I'm still curious if you can deed clans to families. I doubt it would be at all useful, but I'm wondering how closely families follow the lines of other orgs.

Apparently we're too late for Talnaras, since Talnaras weren't mentioned in the existing histories and we don't get to add new histories (I'd hoped we could, since it was nothing too obnoxious, but apparently we can't).

The more they fiddle with the family system, the more I begin to think they have a goal in mind, but absolutely no clue how to get there.

I like the idea for help files for Great Houses. Not sure when we'd have the time for this project though.
