You sure Nif comes to defend Baal if Ashtorath is dead? None of the Night avatars except the designated one defend each other even if the designated one is dead.
Acrune2008-08-13 02:58:09
Yes, a few afflictions is totally as strong as making 4/5 of your raiding party dead in one hit

I'm 99% confident I am right.
And those few afflictoins still come with a 3k room wide attack, which may or may not be quite as good as the 5k attack Gorgulu does. Either way, both kill 4/5s of your team when they come.

2k is a large difference, in fact I would be surprised if 4/5s of a raid would die from 3k (assuming no other damage that round). Many races in their 70s have more than 3k health, it takes a lot longer to get over 5k.
Damage is one of those things that is pointless up until it becomes broken.
That said I would hate to fight Raziela, forced dropping items through selfishness is just a horrid no fun design.
Diamondais2008-08-13 04:19:25
I thought most of the time it just ended with something going 'squish'.
Furien2008-08-13 04:33:38
We just happened to be in the neighborhood and got the actual attacks.
Nifilhema, Queen of Insufferable Cruelty leisurely reaches out and grabs Doman
by the neck, her fingers dig into flesh as he convulses and twitches in her
grip.
Growling with lips curled back, Ashtorath the Raging smashes his enormous fist
into Kinson, sending him flying.
Nifilhema, Queen of Insufferable Cruelty sensually places a hot hand behind
Saaga's neck and draws her forward. With a smile, she leans in and kisses Saaga
on the lips, whose body convulses with violent paroxysms. Blood begins to flow
out of all her orifices.
A column of black smoke erupts, out of which steps a hideous archdemon that
stands by Ashtorath the Raging's side.
A hideous archdemon seizes Raflein by the throat and squeezes the life out of
him with a malicious grin, uttering a harsh string of syllables that grate your
ears.
Nifilhema, Queen of Insufferable Cruelty leans over and caresses the check of
Pharamon, one fingernail opening up a long gash that bleeds profusely.
Picking Raflein up like he were nothing, Ashtorath the Raging sinks his long
fangs into Raflein and rips away his flesh, then tosses him aside.

I love Niffy!
Furien2008-08-13 04:37:16
Oh, also, Ashtorath knows how to bitchslap.
2073h, 5016m, 5052e, 5p, 23280en, 12743w exkdp-
With a howl of rage, Ashtorath the Raging backhands you, knocking you backwards
with his huge knuckles. You fly backwards as your skin erupts in flames and you
scream in agony.
980h, 5016m, 5052e, 5p, 23280en, 12743w exkdp-
Ashtorath the Raging stomps on the ground and screams to the sky. An enormous
explosion shatters your surroundings, angry red flames coursing throughout the
chamber and burning your flesh.
^There's that room attack.

I enjoy that Niffy uses that kissing attack on guild members to send them to Luciphage. It is almost the same, just without the damage.
Saaga2008-08-13 04:47:34
Hah, Saaga hasn't raided in OOC 4 months, and now she just did. I almost wish I had sticked to her no-raid-principle since she is going to get jumped now even more likely. (Not that they stopped anyway when she didn't raid)
But Nifilhema's hot.

I've seen Gorgulu fight off 5+ demigods and a whole swarm of others. It was pretty hilarious. He's such a beast.
Nif/Ash are pansies.

Technically, no. She makes everyone drop things that they're holding.
It's just the people there who pick them up (often after the raid is over, either win or loss) who do the stealing.

In my defense, if I find mag-items at Raz after a raid I mail them back. Unless it's robes and unmarked things - I usually send them to the Warlord or someone on the Iron Council in a letter to find the people they belong to. But not body parts. Those are mine for keeps.

I can't ever remember Ash jumping to defend Baal, but we usually kill Ash before Baal anyway. If so, it's likely Meth who jumps to Japh's aid.
Japhiel is stupid, though. He waits a full 60 seconds before he even bothers to attack people. That's got to get changed, I think. Not sure if any DL's wait that long, and if they do, it needs changed. Yeah.
Raz is supposed to be our strongest DL but it doesn't seem like that when in comparison to Gorgulu. Then again, I've never attacked Raziela, so I wouldn't know.
And yes, Nif is hot. So is Shak, even though she killed me with her room wide attack once. That sucked.

Shakiniel AND Methrenton both defend Japhiel. So if you hit Japhiel it's a 3 vrs 1 which is no fun specially Meth/Shak combined.
Also Baal isn't aggro, like Japhiel. (I'm almost 99% positive anyways.)

My first experience with supermobs was Luna backhanding the out of me because I tried to help keep Daevos off her when they mobbed Etherwilde... (this was back when Supernals/DLs were pathetically easy to kill, soloable even, and Avatars were even easier).
EDIT: And Raziela is WAY easier than Gorgulu, having killed both. The problem with Raziela is that she is a massive griefer and steals people's unruned weapons.
Ashteru2008-08-13 13:21:12
Raziela is so not easier than Gorgulu. Aeon+Blackout, somewhere in there blindness, stun and prone too. Ugh. :X

Her superattack is room aeon which bypasses quicksilver plus blackout/stun/prone/stupidity/paralysis. No anorexia or damage though, that would just be crazy.
Shiri2008-08-13 13:30:03
Yeah, but in my experience she doesn't hit as hard or room attack as often. I don't think I even came close to dying either of the times I fought Raziela, whereas I see people wipe to Gorgulu (and haven't had a huge amount of success myself) much more often.
Now that I think of it, I don't remember ever seeing people die to Raziela, they always die to Shakiniel/sometimes Methrenton.

Yeah because Raziela has a tendancy to send the entire group to astral.
