Warrior Damage too high

I've died in 5 seconds to damage before as a demi warrior, you don't see me bitching about it. I know your point. "Warrior damage is too much, remove all damage buffs, make damage useless once again like wounding now is." I understand what you're saying completely.

Stacking every single damage buff you can on the damage class of the class that deals the most damage shouldn't be deadly to people who don't have the utmost defence agaisnt that type of damage?

More along the lines of "playing a damage class should involve more than mashing the same button two times". Emphasis on two. With the odd three occasionally.

And Vathael, I don't mean useless. But winning should actually take some sort of effort in most cases. Not be like my above ( ^ ) example. Though, admittingly, Lusternia is the wrong game for that, isn't it?

A 30% health damage cap means people still can't sip to keep up and a train of knights will still 1-2 round people, just takes more coordination than one of us instakilling any nondemi cloth class.
Vathael2008-08-16 21:57:58
I'd be fairly certain that it took some effort for us to win a 15v4 raid.
Celina2008-08-16 21:58:50
At this point, I spend so much time avoiding combat because of demi squads that I rarely actually get to fight anymore. It's just not fun that with decent proofed robes, racial resistances, 5200 health, and TF...I still last a few seconds against maxed out warriors. They hit too hard and too fast, it's just that simple. You can't hinder with stuns/paralyses/pinlegs/prones/impales or any number of things every 3 seconds. Yes, the damage is high to start out with. The problem is they can buff it any number of ways. They can afflict and wound at the same time. They can buy arties to bypass physical DMP.

Combat isn't fun right now. It's ruled by who has the most demi warriors. Why do the Admin allow this? Why is this okay? They payed enough to suck the fun out of it for everyone else? Seems wrong to me.

Yes, button-mashing effort. Your poor keyboard. tongue.gif

However, what really bothers me isn't the damage itself, it's two things:

1) The attitude of the players involved which can generally be summarized as "devil-may-care as long as I have my fun".

2) The attitude of the administration which can be summarized as "the prophet waiting for the mountain to come to him". Should be obvious who the prophet is in this scenario.

I don't get it. People who think it is okay to 2-3 hit (not combo) average-high health people should go play Achaea.
Vathael2008-08-16 22:25:29
I came from Achaea. wink.gif

Hehe. Thanks for supporting the people rallying for sanity and a move towards balance and fun for all in combat situations, even non-Demi non-warriors, by letting us know where this silly attitude came from. The more you know! *annoying jingle*

I never said "warrior damage is fine" I even said 1.9k a swing is not. I, however, did explain how such was attained but apparently that part you missed.

Buffs, buffs and more buffs?

Yeah, if anywhere you didn't seem to blithely ignore the effect that DemiWarrior super-damage has on combat, I guess I missed it. unsure.gif That said, you could always...not buff as much? Pwease? blackeye.gif

Some of you mentioned CarrillonKnell earlier in this thread.

There was a rather ridiculous bug that I just fixed - CarrillonKnell was incorrectly stacking damage between people, so if you had ten people in a room, all affected, you could expect thousands of damage.

Well, that would've broken giant room combat pretty nicely.
