Nice game, Myrkr!

The lynch scenes were funny and flavour text was nice.
I think the Horde got lucky with the order that skills were used. Except that first Arrow from Celina. That made me nervous!
Cybele's devoted male followers were mentioned on Wikipedia.
I only played as Egyptian on AoM and I have no idea what you're referring to.

Well I'll add my POV to this.
Freeze gave a guaranteed kill yes but it was a dayskill. I didn't want to show it at first because the flavour message looked badass and I wasn't sure I could justify it as a haven skill.
-------------------
The reason I dropped freeze on Req was to "prove" that I was town, but back then I didn't know it really blocked skills, only that it made you unprotected during the night. The plan was to have Furien use Ammit on Xikue (which would have backfired and killed Furien... what a horrible accident!) and have someone lynch Req (they would have died and I'd say that my freeze blocks only ONE of their skills.. and apparently that was the wrong one, so they died anyway to the revenge.. again what a horrible accident). Didn't quite work out that way unfortunately.
In the end, we only had one method to win left, and that was for you people to keep lynching me. It was also the reason (along with the investigations) that we took out Furien. Ammit would have killed me instantly, my immunity was only to lynch and nightkill. So I ran around all emo like to make you think I was the last mafia member left while Esano murdered you all. Gods I enjoyed that -so much-. But we didn't know if any of you had a daykill left, so I couldn't drop any hints. That was actually the reason we went for Ryleth. I was still pretty convinced that Revan was the doc, that it was in fact Ryleth was a lucky coincidence.
All these last few days I was fretting over one of you just having the stray thought that maybe I -wasn't- the last mafia member left. Had you lynched Esano you would have won. I only had my 3 kids to use as lives OR as nightkills, but not both. If you had lynched Esano, I would not have been able to kill you all. Likewise if Celina had shot her love arrow at Esano she would have realized that he was male and not female as Cybele was supposed to be.
Imo, it was a really good game. Up until day 6 (and perhaps 7) haven had a chance to win. Luckily for me they never really thought much about my emo behaviour.
Lastly, what I really wanted to say... I love Celina's comment about giving up and ruining people's fun. Love love love love. She took not only my bait but the hook too. XD
EDIT: And I loved your flavour messages, Myrkr. The game design was fun too. I liked that everyone had at least -one- skill. When I was Bollikin it was a bit more boring because I couldn't really do anything at all. But then, being mafia is a chapter of its own anyhow. -sniggers-

We had some nice skills, that's true. As I've said before though, you did have a chance to win up until the last day - literally. But once I claimed to want to get this "over with" apparently everyone stopped thinking. Suited me just fine back then.
We also lost Rika right on the first day.. that sucked. Her skill would have been hilariously funny to see played out.
Unknown2008-08-27 22:27:13
Add-on: Also a huge thank-you to Esano. You played really well, although some of your posts made me twitch. Xikue was a bit too silent and got into the radar as a result imo, but good otherwise. Rika... got shot. 'nuff said, but it -did- take out her daykill so it wasn't a total waste.

You are Apep. Apep was the ancient spirit of evil and destruction who dwelled in eternal darkness. Every day he would attempt to devour the Sun Boat of Ra as it sailed the heavens. Set's original role was to battle Apep and keep him from destroying the boat. Occasionally, Apep would succeed, and the world would be plunged into darkness. But Set and his companion Mehen would cut a hole in Apep's belly to allow the Sun Boat to escape.
You win with the Hoarde.
Skills
Gaze - By gazing at someone, you can kill them at night. To use, send me a PM that says GAZE AT (person) in bold during night. You can only use this if followers of the Hoarde decide for you to be the Hoarde killer for that night.
Solar Eclipse - A one shot skill. To use, during the day type in bold DEVOUR SUN on the forum. This will prevent EVERYONE from using any day skills they may have for one day. Best used at the start of the day.
Chaos - Passive one-shot skill. Will send a kill-skill back at a person.
You may communicate with others from the Hoarde. Those from the Hoarde are: Esano (Kronos), Shadow (Angrboda), Rika (Lilith)
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Kronos. Kronos was the Titan god of time and the ages, especially time where regarded as destructive and all-devouring. He ruled the cosmos during the so-called Golden Age, after castrating and deposing his father Ouranos (the Sky). In fear of a prophecy that he would be in turn be overthrown by his own son, Kronos swallowed each of his children as soon as they were born. Rhea managed to save the youngest, Zeus, by hiding him away on the island of Krete, and fed Kronos a stone wrapped in the swaddling clothes of an infant. The God grew up, forced Kronos to disgorge his swallowed offspring, and led the Olympians in a ten year war against the Titanes, before driving them defeated into the pit of Tartaros.
You win with the Hoarde.
Skills
Swallow - If you can swallow Titans, other Gods have to be a breeze. To use, send me a PM that says SWALLOW (person) in bold during the night. You can only use this if followers of the Hoarde decide for you to be the Hoarde killer for that night.
Castrate - One shot skill. Allows you to prevent one person from using their skills or having their skills work for the rest of the game. They must be a God, not a Goddess, for this to work. To use, type CASTRATE (person) in bold on the forums during the day.
You may communicate with others from the Hoarde. Those from the Hoarde are: Xikue (Apep), Shadow (Angrboda), Rika (Lilith)
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Angrboda. Angrboda is the Norse Goddess known as the Mother of Monsters. She is a frost giantess and the mistress of the trickster God Loki. With him, she is the mother of three legendary monsters—Fenrir, a gigantic wolf; Jörmungandr, also known as the Midgard Serpent or the World Serpent; and Hel, Goddess of the dead. A prophecy had told Odin that the children of Angrboda and Loki would bring trouble to the Gods, so he had the three brought to him. He cast Hel into Niflheim, the realm of cold and darkness, and gave her dominion over the underworld. The serpent Jörmungandr was cast into the sea, where he grew so big that he could encircle the whole world and swallow his own tail. The wolf Fenrir was raised by the Gods until he grew too large to be controlled, at which point they chained him to an island. Angrboda’s name means “herald of sorrow†and is also seen as Angrboða, Angerboda, or Augurboda.
You win with the Hoarde.
Skills
Sick - With children like Hel, Jortmungandr, and Fenrir, who needs friends? To use, send me a PM at night that says SICK (Hel/Jortmungandr/Fenrir) AT (person). You can only use Hel, Jortmungandr, and Fenrir once, each. You can only use this if followers of the Hoarde decide for you to be the Hoarde killer for that night.
Freeze - You are an ice giantess, after all! You may use this a total of three times, but only once per day. To use, type in bold on the forums FREEZE (person). This will make them unable to be protected, talk, or use skills until the next day.
Motherly Love - Passive skill. Because your three kids love you so much, if you have not used them for an attack, they can count as a "life", should you be lynched or Night Killed.
You may communicate with others from the Hoarde. Those from the Hoarde are: Esano (Kronos), Xikue (Apep), Rika (Lilith)
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Lilith. Lilith is most well-known as the Demoness/Goddess who was the first woman, created by God at the same time as Adam, unlike Eve who was created from Adam's rib. Lilith refused to submit to Adam's will and left the Garden of Eden and was subsequently cursed by God. According to popular opinion, this tale is "evidence" that she was originally a Goddess or at the very least an aspect of the Great Goddess and was demonized for being an independent female.
You win with the Hoarde.
Skills
Loyalty - Send your children, demons, at someone. To use, send me a PM at night that sends ORDER DEMONS KILL (person). You can only use this if followers of the Hoarde decide for you to be the Hoarde Killer for that night.
Intercourse - You may use this skill three times. This skill gives the God you have intercourse with one night's full protection. However, not the night of the day you use this skill, but the night after they will die. To use, type in bold on the forum GET IT ON WITH (person).
You may communicate with others from the Hoarde. Those from the Hoarde are: Esano (Kronos), Shadow (Angrboda), Xikue (Apep)
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Anubis. Anubis is an incredibly ancient god, and was the original God of the dead before Osiris "took over" the position. After that point, Anubis was changed to be one of the many sons of Osiris and the psychopomp of the underworld. His totem of the jackal is probably due to the fact that jackals would hunt at the edges of the desert, near the necropolis and cemeteries throughout Egypt. Prayers to Anubis are found carved on the most ancient tombs in Egypt, and his duties apparently are many. He watches over the mummification process to ensure that all is done properly. He conducts the souls through the underworld, testing their knowledge of the gods and their faith. He places their heart on the Scales of Justice during the Judging of the Heart, and he feeds the souls of wicked people to Ammit.
You win with the Havens.
Skills
Weighing - You are able to weigh peoples hearts in order to find out part of their divine role. To do this, send me a PM at night that says, in bold, WEIGH THE HEART OF (person).
Ammit - One shot skill. You don't need to weigh this person's heart. Oh no. You can tell that they're wicked already. So you're just going to feed them straight to Ammit. To use this ability, type in bold in the forums, FEED (person) TO AMMIT. You cannot use Ammit on someone whose heart you have weighed.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Ixtab. Ixtab was portrayed as dangling from the sky with a rope round her neck; her eyes were closed in death and her cheeks already showed the first signs of decomposition. It was believed that suicides by hanging, warriors killed in battle, sacrificial victims, women who died in childbirth and members of the priesthood went directly to paradise. Ixtab came to fetch these lucky souls. In the delectable shade of the cosmic tree yaxche, the inhabitants of paradise could rest from labour, and escape from all suffering and want.
You win with the Havens.
Skills
Not Yet - You may protect someone from dying, because let's face it, they're not ready for the underworld. To do so, send me a PM at night saying PROTECT (person) FROM DEATH.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Baldr. Baldr is the second son of Odin and Frigg. He was admired for his fair and radiant beauty. Baldr was the wisest and noblest among all the gods in Asgard. He lived in a region in heaven called Breidablik where no evil could reach him. Nothing but good could be said about this merciful god. The Aesir and Vanir worried greatly when Baldr had nightmares that could not be explained. Odin travelled to the land of the dead to consult the seeress about his dreams. Baldr's mother Frigg tried to keep Baldr away from danger by devoting her life to taking oaths from all plants, creatures, elements, and metals that they not harm him. By doing so, Baldr became immune to pain caused by objects and weapons thrown at him. This became a source of entertainment for most Gods, since they knew they could not kill him. Baldr could in fact be harmed by the Mistletoe plant, for Frigg claimed that it was too young to ask a pledge of it.
You win if the Hoarde is defeated and you are still alive.
Skills
Mistletoe - Passive skill. Because your mother loved you so much, she made it practically impossible to be killed. You cannot be killed via lynch, nor can you be killed via the Hoarde. You must be targeted with a one-shot skill to be killed.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Eros. Eros is usually depicted as a young winged boy, with his bow and arrows at the ready, to either shoot into the hearts of gods or mortals which would rouse them to desire. His arrows came in two types: golden with dove feathers which aroused love, or leaden arrows which had owl feathers that caused indifference. Sappho the poet summarized Eros as being bitter sweet, and cruel to his victims, yet he was also charming and very beautiful. Being unscrupulous, and a danger to those around him, Eros would make as much mischief as he possibly could by wounding the hearts of all, but according to one legend he himself fell in love. This legend tells us that Eros was always at his mothers side assisting her in all her conniving and godly affairs.
You win with the Havens.
Skills
Arrows of Love - By firing an arrow at a Goddess, she will become madly in love with you to the point she tells you both something about her and one of her skills. You may not use this on the same person two days in a row. You may use this once per day. To use, type in bold in the forums FIRE LOVE ARROW AT (person).
Arrows of Death - One shot skill. By firing an arrow at anyone, you will kill them. To use, type in bold in the forums FIRE DEATH ARROW AT (person).
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Danu. Danu is the oldest Celtic Goddess, known also as Don and Anu. Her influence spread far across the British Isles and Europe, where the Danube river was named for her. Few stories about Danu have survived, and yet the reverence in which she was held still remains. It is told that those who worshipped her, the Tuatha de Danaan (the children of Danu), retreated into the hollow hills of Ireland when Christianity overcame the old ways. There, they became immortal, the Sidhe or faery folk, and Danu's legend lives on as the Goddess of faery ways. Danu is the power that is in the land, never to be overcome by mortals. And Her power is in the imagination of those who see magic in the twilight mist between the worlds.
You win with the Havens.
Skills
Embrace - By embracing someone during the day, you enhance their nightskill, if they have one. To do this, during day type in bold on the forums EMBRACE (person). You may not embrace the same person two days in a row. This skill only works successfully on four people.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

You are Oshun. When people first meet Oshun they see her as Goddess of sensuality, but many people never get past this first impression. Oshun is the Goddess of Love and the Rivers. She radiates beauty and teaches us how to love and please our bodies. Everything beautiful belongs to her: jewels, amber, cowrie shells, brass, gold, river rocks, perfume, mirrors, shades of yellow, copper arm bands, copper bracelet’s, dancing and honey. Oshun belonged to no man and believed all was fair in games of love.
You win with the Havens.
Skills
Allure - One shot skill. By dancing about during the day, by typing on the forums in bold DANCE ABOUT ALLURINGLY, all nightskills become targeted at you, good and bad alike.

You are Quetzalcoatl. Also known as the "Feathered Serpent", Quetzalcoatl is the ancient cultural hero among the Aztec, the Toltec and other Middle American peoples. Legends attribute him with being the son of the virgin goddess Coatlicue and is often described as having light hair and skin. As the father of culture, Quetzalcoatl introduced agriculture (ie. the growing of maize), the calendar, monotheism, music and dance, arts and crafts. Varying stories show him to be a gentle deity who requested the end of human sacrifice, accepting butterflies and serpents instead. In his dragon form he ruled the wind, the rain and the fertility of the Earth, the cycles of human sustenance. As a celestial and terrestrial being he was man's magical connection to the mysteries of Heaven and the
sacred earthly realm.
You win with the Havens.
Skills
Revive - You feel there needs to be an end to all human sacrifices. To use, at night send me a PM that says in bold REVIVE (person). You may use this skill three times.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Benzaiten. Benzaiten was the daughter of a dragon, so it can be said that she was familiar with the habits of these powerful and fearsome creatures. She is also the goddess of eloquence, music, poetry and beauty, so it is no wonder that when she descended on her white cloud down to the dragon Koshigoe's cave, he was more than willing to marry her. And once married, she was able to stop him from devouring the children of Koshigoe, hence, making her a protector goddess.
You win with the Havens.
Skills
Dragon Child - Because you are the child of a dragon, you are quite fearsome, making you unlynchable.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You are Wendego. Wendego blows out fire, freezes rain, destroys all. It is a spirit being, neither God nor ghost nor monster or nature-force. Wendego merely is. You cannot fight pure savagery, entropy, and chaos. So too, you cannot fight Wendego.
You win when you kill off 7 Gods.
Skills
Consume - To use this, at night send me a PM that says in bold, CONSUME (person). This will, obviously enough, kill the person.
Double Death - Passive skill. If you should die, the person who killed you will die. If it was via lynching, the last lyncher gets killed.

FAILED KILLING
----------------------------------------
*Baldr*
Lynch:
Once everyone is done attempting to kill Archer2, he stares at them blankly and asks, "Are you quite done yet?"
Wendego:
A wind blows around Archer2 worthlessly all through the night, but seems to give up in the morning.
Hoarde:
Apep/Gaze:
After a long night's rest, Archer2 runs over to everyone and says, "You'd never believe it. Last night, I saw a snake, and the damn thing just stared at me. It was HUGE I tell you. HUGE."
Kronos/Swallow:
Disgustingly, this morning you find Archer2 covered in vomit and chunks of half-digested food. Despite this, he is quite alive.

Humming to himself, Archer2 idly fiddles with a large, bloodied, furry tail.
Angrboda/Jortmungandr:

**Benzaiten**
Lynch:
The group approaches Revan with a menacing look. But after getting close enough to see her clearly, they all quickly reconsider their ill-intentioned actions.
-----------------------------------------
SKILLS
-----------------------------------------
Apep / Devour Sun:
Writhing about through the sky, Xikue opens his mouth wide and devours the sun whole.
Kronos / Castrate:
**on a male**
Holding his sickle firmly, Esano forces down (victim)'s lower garments and takes a wicked swing, dismembering him. Screaming out in pain, (victim) falls to the ground, cursing and swearing, though alive.
**on a female**
Holding his sickle firmly, Esano forces down (victim)'s lower garments and is about to swing, but stares blankly at between her legs. Obviously offended, (victim) smacks Esano, lifts up her lower garments and fixes them, before stomping off grumpily.
Angrboda / Freeze:
Shadow thrusts her hand out forcefully in the direction of (victim), freezing them in place. It'll take a whole day for the ice to melt.
Anubis / Ammit:
"You are not worthy of life or the life after," intones Furien somberly. "May your flesh rot in Her stomach." The floor opens up beneath infront of (victim). The whole group gazes down into the pit, where they see a horrendous, gigantic creature with the maw of a crocodile. The creature paws at the walls which entrap with its large, lioness paws. It stands up on large yet stubby legs, much like a hippo. Whilst everyone is staring at the creature, Furien swiftly kicks (victim) in the behind, sending them flying into the pit. A scream fills the air as (victim) is eaten alive by Ammit, bits of flesh hanging from the monster's mouth.
Lilith / Intercourse:

You are Apep. Apep was the ancient spirit of evil and destruction who dwelled in eternal darkness. Every day he would attempt to devour the Sun Boat of Ra as it sailed the heavens. Set's original role was to battle Apep and keep him from destroying the boat. Occasionally, Apep would succeed, and the world would be plunged into darkness. But Set and his companion Mehen would cut a hole in Apep's belly to allow the Sun Boat to escape.

Skills

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
