Meh. I've tried to role play Marina in several different ways. From being an outright to being the stoic bookbinder, but I always end up being the mother hen wherever I go.
Overall, though, Marina was a kind hearted woman. She even turned the Night Coven into more of a family unit than anything during her reign. Nadjia is still continuing it too. But if Marina ever does come back, the "I love you" attitude will die. Being nice does only so much until you suddenly realize you've got boot and shoe marks running all up and down your back.
(The chances of Marina coming back are 1:10000000000, FYI).

This is sad, Everiine has had almost no RP encounters with any of you... but I'll say what I can.
Myrkr is someone who, when she was a Seren, Everiine first found to be flighty, blabby, and a bit of a nuisance. But, once he got to actually know her, he found that he became quite fond of her, in a little sister sort of way. Her always optimistic attitude and bubbliness would brighten Everiine's day. He was saddened when he returned and found out that she had moved to the Glomdoring.
Sarrasri has been a figure Everiine has associated with Seren leadership since he came through the Portal. While he doens't know her personally, he respects her immensely, and is one of the few non-Serenguard he would bow to.
And Marina, well Everiine has only heard about her a few times. He doesn't dislike her, but has no reason to like her either. He's seen her posts and some of the ideas in them and thinks her to be an idealist somewhat disconnected from the affairs of the world, but that's just based on the few readings he's done.

Everiine was an early role model for Tael, and was part of those who lead to his fostering of beliefs against slavery of any sort, even upon the tainted Viscanti children. It was him that lead Tael to garner the bravery to sneak into Acknor and free the Furrikin slaves and liberate them back to their homes in Estelbar.
Sarrasri has always been Tael's distant cousin, though they were fairly close in Tael's younger years. However, Tael's stubbornness and political beliefs has lead to them becoming distant. Tael still loves his cousin dearly, but they live in two seperate world's these days.
Tael doesn't know much of Marina besides the fact that he grew up to knowing her as a Wiccan rogue. He's never known who she really is, besides the fact that she's an enemy these days.

I misunderstood the purpose of this thread, so here's me fixing that:
Shayle:
A woman Marina has constantly looked up to. She single-handedly ruled both the Night Coven and Glomdoring at one particular time, and she is also the longest reigning person known to Shadowdancer history. Though most people might argue that she created a monopoly, from a feminist's point of view, she used what she had and made the most of it.
Urazial:
A confusing person at best. He is wise, for sure, but at times, Marina was a bit put-off by his distance. However, if it weren't for him, Marina would've ripped four or more Shadowdancer heads off and slit their throats in their sleep. He constantly reminded her that there was always a better way of dealing with things, and he also kept her grounded and focused.
Sarrasri:
She is a descendant of the blood line that Marina boths loathes and hates. Marina oftentimes, while a rogue, preached compassion and peace. Now, however, if she even smells the scent of the blood that ousted her from Serenwilde and made her choose between her children and her guild, she loses all her composure to a blind rage. Though, Marina does begrudgingly admire anyone who can stand up and fight against a healer and live. It isn't often a transed healer is beaten by astrology. Even rarer is she beaten by someone who can take her powers and turn them against her. Well done.
Nocht/Viravain:
Ever since the death of Marina's father, she has both hated and despised the divine pantheon i.e., Elostian. She believes that the divine have no right whatsoever to enter into peoples' lives, touch their hearts, only to vanish later without a trace or a good bye. Nocht and Viravain are no different.
Valonah:
Both a daughter and a friend to Marina, Valonah has always been one of Marina's star pupils. Beside Talan, Valonah is the only other protege that Marina took up (either officially or unofficially) and surpassed her. She still watches over her, but in a more subtle manner.

People who Ried actually knows with need to post more. You know, so I can post about them. I'll have to steal a few of you from a couple of pages back.
Anyway, Ried has come to see Tael as Serenwilde's Ashai. No, I'm serious. They're both loyal, elitist, and - at least at one point - appeared as fatherly figures. The big difference is that Ashai used to frighten Ried with his authority and power, whereas Tael is seen more as an equal now.
While Ried was in Glomdoring, she never knew Ashteru. She still doesn't, as a Serenwilder, but from what she has seen, she appreciates what he's done for her father. She seems him as the ringleader of Exeryte's new... hobby, whatever it is, and likes that Exeryte now has a friend in Ashteru. She also likes that during their encounters, Ashteru hasn't outright killed her, and they do have conversations.
Tervic is just weird. Ried doesn't know him too well, but apparently he thinks she's a good designer.

Everiine doesn't know Ried very well, but is already impressed based on her performance of drawing down Mother Moon. He expects great things from her.
Tael is someone Ev has known for a long time. He remembers the wide-eyed little kid that would follow Ev around Estelbar, so excited to be looking out for the farmers. He remembers Tael wanting to set up a group solely for defending the farmers and going into Acknor to rescue them. Tael has grown considerably since Ev first met him, and Ev is proud to serve beside him.

Nys sees Ried as a mother-type figure, even though she came to the realization that she isn't her real mother. Very kind and nurturing. A little hopelessly romantic, and perhaps naive when it comes to Serenwilde/Glomdoring relations, but a good person.

Ried is Synl's greatest success, in that she realizes a) cities blow asschunks and b) following is a weakness. She's still ultimately a child to him, but one that has grown far past the first encounters and, due to her loyalty, one that he respects enough to speak with both formally and informally.

Rika2009-01-05 20:35:40
At first, Rika saw Everiine as a sort of role-model. However, later, as she moved up the ranks in the Serenguard, she started to notice that Everiine was actually very reluctant to change. To this day, she blames Everiine for the stagnancy that had overtaken the Serenguard, but does not hold it against him, as he does make an effort to sustain Serenguard tradition.
Tael is one of those zealots that Rika hated in the Serenwilde. To him, the Serenwilde is always right and he himself was always right. Tael would always boast of how he is a great fighter, but Rika dismisses this, having never seen any of this in reality.
To Rika, the only person to blame for her first move to the Glomdoring was Marina. She tries to act like a mother figure, but is in fact consumed by her sense of self-importance.
Rika sees Nys as a vain and sly child with a blind loyalty to Shikari. Rika sees this last trait as a weakness for Nys, especially given the current events, and hopes she would grow out of it before it is too late.
Synl is one of those Gloms Rika doesn't really know much yet, but holds respect for, if only for the fact that he sees the "Krashxeryte" group as something completely juvenile.

Wow, doesn't look like you like too many people Rika
Everiine doesn't quite know what to think of Rika. His memories of her are clouded (hell, his memories of everything are clouded), but he does remember that she was straight forward, no nonsense, very directed, if not a bit tunnel-visioned (but only a bit). He wasn't sure when she wanted to return to the Serenwilde, but fought for her because he believed everyone deserves a second chance. He didn't agree with her on some things (probably the changes mentioned earlier), but recognizes that she wasn't malicious, just thought differently. But he very much agreed on the Stripes system she set up.
Synl is a name that Ev has always detested, though he has long forgotten why. The name just dredges up images of Wyrded evil and sadistic humans. He doesn't even know if he's met Synl.

Ried thought Nys could be nurtured and urged to grow in the direction she wanted, with the help of her uncle - you know, back towards the ways of Glomdoring's old guard, who knew what Glomdoring truly meant. She's a bit disappointed in Nys' naivety but, if that's how the young are raised in Glomdoring, then so be it. It's because of Nys that Ried's... well, frustration at both communes has grown, not just because her own actions, but through the actions of others towards Nys.
Speaking of her uncle, Synl has always been the one that Ried feared the most. It was a fear born out of respect for what seemed like total authority and power, but aside from Emar, Ried knew she could learn the most from her uncle. At first, she was eager to please him through her studies, and she more or less continued to disappoint - or that's how she felt, anyway. But she knows now what his lessons mean and feels that out of all of the people in Glomdoring, she'd want him to teach the future generations.

It's Ried, probably one of the only reasons Iwiertas stayed in the Murder long enough to find his place. Without her, Iwiertas would have eventually turfed himself out with the way he viewed the world. To him, she appeared a solidarity, more of a certain lifeline rather than a friend. (Though she was that as well.) Upon returning and finding that she had abandoned the Murder, Iwiertas doesn't know what to think. He is slightly perturbed, but also questioning the his own place due to her lingering influence.
Iwiertas does not know Nys very well... in fact, he knows practically none of the leadership that replaced both him, Emar and Silferras. In his eyes they cannot do more harm than good, but that is also through his faith that Crow would not let those who would work against the Murder stay in power for too long. He sometimes wonders where many of these people came from, and what their unique stories are.
Tael2009-01-10 18:05:04
Hm. Tael has always viewed Ried as an aspiring Serenwilder, having not known about her life as a Gloom other than her being Dylara's daughter. He has a lot of respect for Ried, and looks forward to seeing her grow in the Wilde some more. He has a lingering suspicion towards her due to her previous ties to Night and Nocht, but he dismisses it with every positive action for what she does for the Wilde.
Rika is just viewed by Tael as a traitor, and worse that she is a traitor who shares the same blood as his. While he will love her because she is family, he'll do what's in his power to beat the foolishness out of her.
Synl is probably one of the handful of Gloom's that Tael has respect for and will speak to with civility. He views Synl as one as a 'primary nemesis', and more notably for his constant attempts to lure Xiran.

I only know ried, so here we go:
When Tynghall first stepped out of the Portal, he was a member of the Blacktalon. Having been associated with Ried, he found himself in what seemed to him to be a "professional friendship." After Tynghall returned from his period of dormancy, he awakes to find Ried a member of Serenwilde. While rather annoyed, Tynghall still finds Ried to be respectable and deep down, loyal to the Glomdoring.

Wow, now I feel like I'm spamming this thread.
Ried has always viewed Iwiertas as an eccentric little brother. She watched him grow and learn and hurt, but he turned out fine in the end, and she was always proud of him. Now, after his return from slumber, she's eager to see him again and talk to him just like old days with the hope that he won't hate her.
Ried was disappointed when Tynghall went to Magnagora, but they had gotten along well enough during his time in the Blacktalon, and she grew to consider him a friend. Even though they stand as enemies now, she enjoys chats with him and appreciates that he does not, perhaps, hate her for going to Serenwilde. And she was really, really touched - even grateful - that he called her "Eye".
