I really don't understand that. I appreciated you doing a service, so I gave you a big tip. Because of that, you proceeded to gloat over how much you "screwed" me over, payment-wise, despite the fact that I was the one who originally offered the initial price, high as it was.
Do people not tip much in Lusty or something?

Didn't gloat, gave some of the tip back, silleh
And that's IC, I luffs you really <3

Wasn't the tip, it was the, "Hmpf, how dare you give me my money back, I'll use someone else next time."

Kiradawea Is a funny bunny. She always seems to be in a grumpy mood nowadays, though he recalls a time when she was more laidback. He is sad that she never seems to interact with him anymore, but he can understand it seeing as he's enemied to Celest. He is however, fascinated with her foot for some reason. In any conversation, he will unfailingly end up poking at it curiously, as with all furrikin feet, which may be a part of the issue.

...but you didn't give me money back. You just told me, and this is pretty much verbatim, "I pride myself on being a bitch, so I'm quite pleased to tell you that you got ripped off." Again, I was trying to pay extra out of appreciation for the service, so, yeah. Random, hostile, bitchy. I will use someone else next time.

Fern has met Kialkarkea only once, but from what she's seen, she finds her arrogant, argumentative and unpleasant to be around. Also twisted and warped from the forest she lives inShe doesn't understand why her mother would consider her one of her closest friends.
She finds Nettle to be quite possibly the oddest person she has ever met. Constantly tunneling, covered in dirt and purchasing bizzarrely decorated items, she is not quite sure what to make of her younger sister, though she does know she loves her dearly, even if she teases her mercilessly.
Aiyana is Fern's mother and she worships the ground she walks on, albeit surreptitiously. She listens intently to everything she says and takes it into consideration. She idolizes her mother's accomplishments and is constantly measuring herself against the standard she has set, and finding herself wanting.
Fern isn't sure what to make of Kelysa. On the one hand, she has the utmost respect for her as the Avatar of her Goddess, and the Guildmaster of the Moondancers, and she is envious of her skill with the needle. On the other hand, she hates the fact that Kelysa looks down on her personal choices not to eat meat or wear animal hides, and is constantly pushing such things on her and ridiculing her for it.

Obviously, Kial has only met Fern once, however, he finds her to be offensively zealous, and close minded. Though he really doesn't mind either way, the encounter left a bit of a bad taste in his mouth.
Nettle Is adorable though. Seriously. He might have to whip up some cookies next time he sees her.

Tervic sees Reginaldus as he sees most viscanti, and all Magnagorans: Vile, a traitor to life, and a threat to his home. However, Reg dealt with the cutting remarks pretty well in their one encounter, and so has earned at the very least some grudging respect if not for his actions than for his pursuit of knowledge. Besides, Nori likes Reg, and that counts for something.
As an aside, did you ever end up talking to Jigan or Iytha?

Nettle's perspectives!
Nettle inherited both the eyes and nurturing nature of her mother, Aiyana. She will do almost anything to please her and is always looking for something to do to win her mother's praise. Whether this is because of a natural sense of devotion most children have for her parents, or just because Nettle wants to keep her food source as close as possible, nobody knows... not even me.
Fern is the headstrong, know-it-all older sister who constantly bullies her and threatens Nettle's standing as the favorite child. Nettle strives to outdo her and pushes hard to gain favor within both the commune and guild faster than her sister. At the same time, Nettle knows how vulnerable Fern can be and will do anything to keep her safe from danger. She's also a blast to argue with and steal from.
Gregori is a giant, incredibly stubborn, semi-cuddly thing who likes to shout and lives up on Ethereal with the nexus guards. He claims to be her father and gives her praise and the occasional bit of affection, so she doesn't question him very often.
Nettle has mixed feelings about Kelysa. On the one hand, she appreciates her often friendly attitude and enjoys the company of her much older niece, but there is also a more sinister, manipulative side to her... the side that will use any means possible to get what she wants (usually sweets)... at least in Nettle's eyes. Despite that, she appreciates the fact that Kelysa favors her over her bratty sister and would prefer to keep it that way.
Kialkarkea is some sort of strange anthropomorphic blobby mist thing from Glomdoring that can't be trusted and is quite possibly a venemous goo monster in disguise. It can possibly be used for the purpose of obtaining free gifts... but she'll have to thoroughly sterilize those before they can be deemed safe, of course. Nettle also likes people who drive her sister batty, so Kialwhatsit gets bonus points for that.
Lillie is way too timid and self conscious for his/her/its own good, but Nettle is confident that he/she/it, with his/her/its broom competency, will prove useful in her lifelong ambition to learn how to fly. Because porcupines can totally fly. She also hopes to one day strike confidence into his/her/it.
Lekius is the thing that all the blame falls on when something goes horribly wrong in the Hartstone, but Nettle avoids doing this for the most part because he seems sweet, sincere, and has proven to be a source of amusement.
Lehki is Lekius' look-a-like, but he's not as pretty. He's also a lot quieter.

Aiyana loves both Nettle and Fern a great deal, and they both mean the world to her.
Fern is the daughter that Aiyana shares a birthday and a special bond with. When she came out of the Portal of Fate, there was pretty much no doubt in her mind that Fern was hers--How many other Red Pandakins are actually around, after all? She sees Fern as an independent young woman with a strong nature. Though she doesn't get to spend a lot of time with her, is glad that she and her sister at least make vague attempts getting along around her.
Nettle, however, is a little oddball. She has that spark of special that leaves no doubt in Aiyana's mind that they're related. Aiyana sees her younger daughter as a whole lot of personality for such a little, pokey critter. She is proud that Nettle has grown to be her own person and broken out of any form of 'normal', and enjoys her company greatly.
All in all, she is proud of the progress of both of her daughters and their progress...and loves them equally, despite what one says to the other.
Reginaldus, just by speaking to her on a few occasions, proved to Aiyana that not all Magnagorans are the mold of uptight, brutish, and stubborn snobs she thought they were. While she holds absolutely no love for the Taint or for the Viscanti race, she views him as a potentially great ally, and respects him...and is still eventually looking forward to tea to discuss the state of the world without too much interruption.
Gregori sucks. I want a divorce.

Aiyana is mother of my children. Never brings me enough sammiches. Need I say more?
Nettle is the best daughter ever. Independent enough to satisfy my 'not to clingy rule' and adorable enough that she remains my favourite.
Fern is a daughter.
Elryn YAY ELRYN IS BACK. I missed Elryn.

Selskia2009-10-07 19:01:42
And Selskia hops in.
Aiyana is her mom, and Selskia adores and looks up to her. She enjoys just spending time with her mum, especially since her dad's not around so much. She's a little critical of Aiyana's very harsh perception of the world outside the Serenwilde, but, again, just respects it. Most of all, though, she's happy that Aiyana mothers her and takes care of her, since her real mom (CALira) never did, and she values family.
Gregori is her dad, and at first, Selskia was utterly petrified, terrified, and all kinds of -fieds of him. However, after discovering that this awesome person named Aiyana was married to the scary person, she gave him another chance. Now she knows he's just quirky, and scary on the outside, but sorta-cuddly and amusing otherwise. Selskia's just amused by how busy and grouchy her dad often is, and by the pseudo-familial-abuse.
Nettle is her sister, and Selskia doesn't really like her. Some of the first words exchanged between them were about how Nettle was the favourite child, and so Selskia's somewhat bitter, since she's been the favourite child for a time in the absence of the other children.
Fern is the other sister, and Selskia hasn't exactly had much time to interact with her since, well, they're never around together much. The one time she called out to Fern, there was no answer. Alas. So the sisters are a bit aloof and odd.
EDIT: Selskia doesn't particularly like either sister. They were mean to her, and childish at that
Lekius is amusing and a champion, Lehki is around and a defender, and Selskia can't really tell the two of'em apart.

Yay. I can add in a couple of new perceptions.
Nettle's awful attitude toward Selskia stems from her jealousy of her sister's ability to fly. This, paired with the fact that Selskia is of a higher rank than she is, makes Nettle feel incredibly inferior and threatened. She does, however, sub-consciously appreciate the fact that their mutual competitiveness toward Selskia has drawn her first sister closer to her, at least for the time being. Much like her attitude toward Lillie, Nettle thinks that Selskia might prove at least somewhat useful in accomplishing her goal of becoming the first flying porcupine. Even if that involves ripping out her wings and using them for herself.
I personally love the sibling rivalry thing, both with Selskia and Fern. And any future siblings. Fun times.
Urazial is an invisible thing that hides in Faethorn's trees and picks on her sister at every chance. He's supposedly her grandfather, but that can't be proven. After all, he's not even remotely prickly.
Novices in general make Nettle cringe. But she knows that there are a few who are not painful to listen to if she can weed through them.
Clowns at first did not bother Nettle, but she is slowly... but surely... developing her mother's fear of them. Especially now that there seem to be more and more... and more... dancing up out of nowhere.
Personally, the clowns already scare the out of me and I will quicken my typing to move past them as fast as humanly possible.
