Damn Myrkr knowing so many people...
Fionn is a kind and patient person. Myrkr really admires his giving nature, but feels that he takes the blunt of things too willingly. Fionn is quiet and understanding, and good fun to spend with if you're not looking for someone who's bouncing off the walls for a change. He's slow to open, but once he does, Myrkr is sure it's worth to be around to see. Since opening up leaves Fionn vulnerable, he's not all too quick to do it, which may make him seem cold or stoic. Blame the fact he had been an Aquamancer.
Myrkr truly looks up at Sarrasri. Sarrasri is a very kind person who only may seem cold because she's slow to show what's in her heart. Myrkr is convinced this may either be because Sarrasri is a Lucidian or because she is a high-ranked member of the Moondancers. Sarrasri, while slow to show what's in her heart, will almost always never be slow to show what's on her mind. Sarrasri does not like it when people are breaking the rules, and is violently playful with those closest to her (see: Halamir). Myrkr wishes one day that she can be as wise and kind as Sarrasri, and that one day she may be looked up to as she looks up to Sarrasri. However, because Myrkr is scared to get on Sarrasri's bad side, she'll sooner avoid Sarrasri to ensure that her image of Sarrasri isn't stained by her own emotions than risk saying something that Sarrasri will dislike enough to not like Myrkr at all.

Ashteru, you have to realize many of these statements are more or less false. That is, at least for me, I never thought of Synl as having a distinct personality; I'm an incredibly half-assed RPer, heh. But yet, looking at the comments, one would think Synl is played as this dark genius mastermind.
I only knew Valarien in the good ol' days, at which point he was the ambitious individual always aiming for more power but without trying to give away that he was looking for power... truly Nightesque. Not particularly intelligent or anything, but devoted as to Night and charming (in the very charismatic, Shayle-y way).

Pfft, just skip me, will you? I'll be back later with an assortment of delicious commentary on all you people, you'll see.
Don't worry. You're not the only one being skipped past.

I don't know Denust, but I can do Vala and Sarra!
The thing that sticks with me most from my interactions with Valarien is the somewhat forced dark attitude. In a way, it works--a leader of Glomdoring is expected to be dark and mysterious, and the idea that there is a relatively competent leader trying too hard to fit the stereotype in public always amused me. Whether or not that was the intention, eh. I also remember him largely in conjunction with Nirrti, and the interactions there were always fun. Veyda took character notes from Vala on ambitious without means, although Vala was maybe a little less ambitious and a little better at follow through. Still a solid idealist.
Sarrasri, for Xavius, is a sort of noble villain. Sarrasri is not prone to inaction in dealing with enemies, but she is willing to discuss things rather than flexing muscles and watching the Glom griefers murder Seren lowbies wherever they're found while the Seren horde unilaterally claims Faethorn and kills off all the influencers. I especially remember one incident where I teleported to Sarrasri and held a conversation in Serenwilde without announcing that I was coming over. (I can't remember anymore if that was the time where I was trying to get Narsrim kicked out of Glomdoring or if that was the time when I lied about being sick of Glom politicians and talked Seren combatants into following me into Glomdoring to get ambushed.)

I intend to do more on others later, but let's talk about Xavius.
Xavius is extremely loyal - loyal to a fault. He will be the first to comprehensively defend his own - regardless of the situation. He's at once gregarious and introverted, and so will socialize extensively with the people in his circle and not so much without. He enshrines competence as a key virtue, but is often inclined to attribute more of it to people he likes and and less of it to people he dislikes than is truly the case. Much of his character revolves around this dualism of hard-edged, competent realism and emotional sympathies. Politically, he's more inclined to be a fixer than a demagogue. Ideologically, he's at once pragmatic and focused on results and relatively unbending. He's in many ways a take on the classic 'insider opposition' - the hard-boiled trench fighter who distrusts populism and knows how to get things done from the lonely side of the aisle.
Veyda has lots of mixed feelings about Xavius. On one hand, Xavius helped out at several points when Veyda was Marshall, and put energy for decades into the Blacktalon, a guild Veyda loved - and was in some ways Veyda's patron within that guild. He was one of those cool, competent elders he idolized when he first arrived in Glomdoring. And regardless of what went down, he almost always remained a source of witty conversation and useful company.
On the other hand, Veyda has seen Xavius in a very different light at times. He's seen the massive attack posts Xavius has made to defend Yeralih, and he saw Xavius go beyond all bounds to get Narsrim removed from Glomdoring (an issue on which Veyda and Xavius very much disagreed). And Xavius was one of those bitter old-guard oppositionists who Veyda just couldn't quite cooperate with during the change of regime, and has clearly stated his distaste for much of Veyda's politics. It's a complicated relationship and a perspective well-twisted. The best analogy is that Veyda in some ways sees Xavius as a sort of...uncle figure, the one you're not on totally good terms with but have history with, and still share a certain common ground.

hmm....I know Xavius has been done, but, I will throw my 2 cents in on him. I really enjoyed my brief interactions with him. His devotion to Glomdoring and Viravain was the light that provoked this moth to dive deeper into some of the more esoteric mysteries that the forest holds. Even to this day I am finding out new things that I never really realized, and it was a few proddings by Xav that got that ball rolling for me. Excellent RP for his belief in the forest and each other.

-Seriously just read through this post to see if Jigan and Tervic posted-
About Casilu:
Hrm, RP between Bella and her. Dunno if there's much, but the couple of times she did come off creepy to Bellarin. Other times, she was very persuasive, even though Bellarin's not that hard to sway when it comes to family or friends.

I've RP'd with Bellarin. She's a funny hyper little thing. Always with the strange extra 's' for everything said though!
She does a good job as a Paladin, from what I see, always ready to help defend/attack, and well, influence.
Wonder why she's not in an order...hmmmmm...
<3 you dear!

What is this RP you speak of.
Interesting and fun thread though, maybe I'll post something eventually, if I get inspired.

One of my friends called Shuyin the mewtwo of Lusternia.
Yurika2008-08-28 08:32:08
Hm.. well most of my roleplay was done with Hyrtakos. Quite an odd relationship they have. She likes Hyrtakos a lot, and their platonic friendship is how you say....love/hate or another one is like big sister/little brother. Yurika and him tend to misinterpret each other and often loop around each others wordings and twist it to their own perception of what one or the other is talking about. Hyrtakos appears to be quite a good debator for an orclach, and nearly catches Yurika off guard, but it keeps her grinning and interested in their rather eccentric conversations about what they think of each other and views of the basin. He keeps getting angry thinking about all the possible reasons why Yurika left, returned and left Glomdoring again- then of course hound each other for awhile about it. So, the roleplay with Hyrtakos is excellent to me. (Oddly...she tends to have conversations, generally just down to earth talk with a few mags and one other Glomdorian but of course her nature-wouldn't actually live amongst them.)
Evette2008-08-28 09:56:44
I've not had much interaction with Yurika, been a tad busy recently being pulled all ways and things. And Im not quite sure who Archer2 is, though I should know but it is 5 am :/
Rika- fun to bow to on Kimi, though I mostly get ignored. Also wtf Garmr raids at 4:30 am.. Those are ....fun practice in a sort of way. I cant seem to get
a rupture to stick however.
Edit- Also: Rika hits you several times with her ohso mighty hammer, and switches target to Garmr.. 3 Mins go by: Rika glanses over at you... Yes you're still healing..
Rika finishes toying with Garmr
Sojiro- Soy Sauce! *snicker If Sojiro is around, there will be a raid, weakening or not. Sojiro's got an opinion on somthing? Lets all agree with him! Also Jendu's father.. kinda odd ball remark in its self.
Bellarin- <3! (thanks for the Cd) Next on my list to convert to Glomdoring, though I doubt this will be as easy as all of the others. Well worth it though.
Kinson- Bright lights attract bugs, I wonder if he ever did rp that. The most interaction I ever got with him IC was when Kimi was first starting out and Liam asked if he could come along to harvest some sparkles, also said hi a few times when Kimi popped in to randomly check messages.

Inox2008-08-28 10:43:41
Hmm, I don't really know most of you! Inox doesn't like talking to non-Serens very much.
I'll do Sarrasri. Inox sees her as kind of power-hungry and overbearing, with the whole inquisition thing, and all the contestations. She doesn't dislike her, though, in fact she quite likes hanging out with her at the Moondancerdrinking parties meetings, partly because she doesn't seem to mind Inox's shenanigans and stupid ideas for pranks.

Shuyin is cool, I don't think there's any other word to describe him, he doesn't like ever get angry at anything, he's always willing to help or compromise, he does a ton of everyone else, even his enemies and he hardly ever gets anything back in return. If Serenwilde didn't have him I don't think they'd manage to put on socks.
Sarra is also cool, she lets me get away with pretty much anything without ever getting really angry at me for it. Even our soon to be three marriages and she's never actually gotten pissed at me once, she's fun to talk to.

Inox is fun. I don't know where she gets all the alcohol from. Her stash is impressive. I think she still hates Kelysa after all the horrible puns and subsequent meltdown and estrangement. She seems pretty smart and helpful beneath the alcohol and drug hazed thing she's got going on.

I can second this. I really enjoy the banter between me and Hyrtakos....often he is the mentor I never had, for as much crap he gives me when I do something off the wall
