Subj: Special Meeting
On September 28 at 5:00 p.m. PST, we will be holding a special meeting
with a small group of players to discuss the state of Lusternia as a
game. This meeting will include the President of IRE, Jeremy Saunders
(a.k.a. Iashe). Because we want this meeting to be as productive as
possible, we simply cannot have it open to everyone. Therefore, I would
like each city and commune to select 3 players who are able to attend
the meeting at that time. Basically, we would like to hear from you what
your observations, concerns and hopes are for Lusternia.
I'd like each city and commune leader to message me with the names of
the 3 people selected to attend the meeting.

What time is this in England (BST I think)? Daylight savings time is screwing me up.

That's 51 minutes before you made your post. You posted at 5:51 Pacific.
Shiri2008-09-09 00:54:47
Ok, even factoring in daylight savings? Great.
(Can use this thread to discuss it too if you lot want, since no one else posted about it)

1am BST
PST is -7 GMT, but I'm not sure when America has decides this year to move out of daylight savings.
This is handy as well. link

Not sure if this helps, but Pacific is -8 GMT.

Well, right now it is. Frigging Congress, making daylight savings time. Bah.

PDT PST confusing, just go to the link. Either way, it's 1am BST.
Daganev2008-09-09 01:00:25
should invite some inactive players as well. *not biased*

Someone be sure to log it and post it.

10am on Monday - NSW Australia time.
A bit poor I think considering us Australians would need to work/study most likely at this time.
We do have a reasonable player base on this continent.

You haven't missed out on most events due to the time they are scheduled at since you started playing?
That said, one day earlier and an Australian could have participate which makes it a little... lame

.. You know, 5 pm PST is like 3-4 am my time. Honestly, that's even worse.
Summary: I do miss out on many events, especially shorter ones, especially the (grand) end of bigger events if there is one. I also generally miss out on almost all meetings that are ever held by IRE. Life's just not fair, but it's not biased against australians.
I just hope they'll do next year's ascention event on the night from saturday - sunday again. That way I -can- be there, even if it takes place at the most unholy times. Just the night sunday - monday is bad.

Ah, good old New Zealand time. I get the best of both worlds as long as I don't have school (which I don't have on that day )
Esano2008-09-09 09:31:06
IRE's timing is a bit annoying, less so in this case because there are only 3 people from each organization, allowing a lot more leeway (hopefully). 28th is also the (official) start of school holidays, which is a partially related rave! Unofficially, I get an extra week of holidays because I don't have any tests in the second week (related rant: all tests in first week.)
I just wish I could be around for a wildnodes event.

I doubt there'll be any leeway since the head of IRE is involved and it's probably at his direction.

Remember, this is an exclusive meeting limited to 3 people per city/commune (total of 12 players). However, if there's issues you want to bring up or comments you want to make, this thread may be a good place to start!

Is this type of meeting at the moment exclusive to Lusternia or is it also being done or been done with the other IRE games?
Just out of curiousity.

All the IRE games. Achaea has already had theirs.

Anyone want to share their opinions on the state of Lusternia?
