I was being facetious. Anyway, if you beat anyone with Purge(not to mention Focus) as a Saboteur without traps/cobra/walls and a REALLY fast dirk, then they just didn't know what they were doing.

The adding of miniskill trans skills(read, Purge in Antidotes) in Imperian was, as far as I'm concerned, a BAD MOVE. Just like in Lusternia now, it made it so that most classes had to be buffed just to deal with the existence of a five second skill that cost/required nothing and cured random afflictions invisibly, which made it so that to be viable against a lot of people you now needed to have that skill where before Antidotes was nothing more than a little poison damage resistance.

Edit: By 'Just as in Lusternia now..' I meant that one single, simple thing required a ton of investment to deal with.

Without trans discipline, I can very easily be comboed by a warrior, paralyzed, and killed on the next swing before I can focus. I could maybe beat their swing if I somersaulted fast enough, but that's about it.

Sure, I can maybe webwhore them or something, but what do you do to even begin to actually kill when mantakaya can lock you down like that?

Back to topic, I think the casual gamer thread ran its course, so I'll just post the ideas from there here:

1. Quests that casual gamers can participate in.
2. Allow defences to stay up between short log out periods. (i.e. let us log in for 20 minutes, then log out for 2 hours then log back in again for 20 minutes, then log out for 30 minutes, then log back in for 20 minutes without having to redef everytime we log in)

Yes please. It's incredibly aggrivating losing a connection and coming back to:

Especially with power defenses. If I have to log out for 20 minutes, but I know I could be back, I sit there and think, "do I break afk and try and get a keyboard stab in? Or do I log out, lose all the defs and enchant charges, then wind up redoing the whole process?"

If they are released, I'd much prefer to see them start as NPC run areas, and slowly transition to standard player-run orgs, especially as that makes the most sense from an RP standpoint.

No.

Not even Achaea has the kind of player-base that would justify 20 guilds spread across 5 organisations, and it's 3-4x bigger than Lusternia.

Trying to open another org, even "slowly transitioned to player-run" would spread the playerbase even more terribly and completely fail.

Achaea has 25 guilds(houses), and 6 orgs (Mhaldor, Ashtan, Shallam, Cyrene, Hashan, Eleusis).

I do agree that Lusternia couldn't support it at the moment, though.

I agree with whoever said we should have gotten more orgs instead of more guilds, though, maybe rolled some of the new skills into the old guilds, I dunno. Would have helped the politics a bit more.

And Achaea's size didn't justify that number of orgs until the past few years. For many years, all 6 orgs were completely emaciated.

In Imperian they completely removed the anti afk rule. Because it was pointless. And it is.

I would love that but seeing how it is bad it won't happen. As for having two trades, if they did allow maybe they could have it so we couldn't have two trades that helped each other directly (like how herbs and alchemy does.)

Yeah, but the other tradeskills are also about 20* rarer and nonessential so there's not much to balance them against. Although I dunno about forging and enchantments.

If they were going to do that they'd have to make it so that, like other MMOs, you only get one gathering and one crafting skill. Otherwise you'd get millions of alchemy/herbs people and not much else.
