Question: Once a person has been voted 9 times are they 'fixed'? And can the 9 voters then change to vote someone else?

My guess is yes, since lynches work that way too.

Here is how I see things:
Rika mentioned in the rules that some groups may talk to each other all the time. Now as I as a neutral do not have this, I theroise these are the cult/mafia groups. They therefore can rally their vote to band-wagon nominate in a decided member. Shiri has a large number of votes quickly (perhaps yes as he posts a large amount), but perhaps due to this. Add the fact a probably neutral character in silvanus tried to top him means he very well could possibly be part of these scum groups.
This is pure speculation but I feel to be sure, we should move votes elsewhere. Also I'm going to -
Un-nominate: Requiem, Nominate: Shadow

I have multiple votes due to random, and people respecting my ability to play townie competently. I guess it kiiiiiiiind of makes sense to worry about it though (it's good to be cautious).
However, it certainly does NOT make sense to worry about Silvanus bombing me. Silvanus had no information whatsoever that would implicate me or anyone else, he just chose to bomb Doman and I because we were telling him to calm down and stop Celinaing at the time. All it would tell you at best is that IF he was trying to use the bombs properly (he wasn't), his intuition (without basis) was leading him towards Doman and I as scum. This is a complete non-point.
Also, unless this is one of those weird cults-that-aren't-really-cults like that game where I was a "cult" (i.e trippy superpowers masons; unlikely since they "recruit") with Xenthos/Dylara, a cult only initially has one member: the recruiter. The subsequent members are built up over nights. So on day 1 you cannot assume anyone is deliberately collaborating with the cult. A scum group is another matter but given the aforementioned explanations for why I have a few people voting me, there seems to be no reason to think I'm scummier than anyone else in the game. The mafia would be pretty dumb to pile on votes for this kind of thing when there doesn't appear to be any ginormous benefit for having security council though. Maybe if Russia is a scum leader and they have a nuke, I guess, but the distancing might outweigh the bomb access if they could do without it. That's if the council thing is bomb-related too, we still don't actually know for sure.

As Aesyra says, probably yes. But you get two nominate votes so there's no particular need to change. We need two people elected, remember.

It was for nuking in a hissy-fit
Doman2008-09-10 11:39:10
We don't know anything about the security council besides the fact that it Is there. It could allow nukes, it could make you unlynchable, it could make you un-cultable, whatever it is, we know we don't want scum to have it

Oh man, you guys have written a good amount and I'm tired.
I'm not sure what to think of peoples assumptions or theories about how this all works, and the fact that we didn't get much information at all is hard to work with. However, I'm wondering if that's just because they were nuked and.. not much survives well after nukings, that could explain the limited amount of information that Rika posted.
Either way, I'm kinda on the fence about my nominations. Both still seem fairly nice.

'On the fence on my nominations' is in regards to my choice with Shadow, the one I have gotten to see post. They're both still nice because generally, my interactions with them have put them as nice, it has nothing to do with the game but instead to do with the random choice and absolutely nothing to back it up.

As of current, I'm not sure who to nominate.
However, I believe Shadow mentioned she's neutral.
I, like her, cannot be converted.
To Communism.
I don't understand it too well, but... yeah. :: Trails off absent-mindedly. ::

I think I have a few minutes before my break is over, so just to explain.
We clearly (based on shadow not lieing) have a capitalist cult group. (I'm inclined to look at people pushing for the communist enemy at this point....)
I like that Shadow is immune to conversion so I'm nominating her.
Last time I didn't trust people who wanted to be leader, I was wrong, so I'll nix that line of reasoning for myself, and since Shadow trusts Shiri, I'll trust shiri, plus he's already been nominated by lots of people.
Also, are we able to do a non vote on these issues? i.e, if say we only wanted one member to be on the security council?

However, it would make sense if we had the capitalist cult and the Ruskie mafia, in which case, the mafia group would be immune to conversions, would they not?

Good question...
Are mafia members normally immune to cults? I don't think they are.

My favorite quote:
QUOTE
In some variations, the Cult has a pro-Town alignment, while in other variations, the Cult is a separate faction trying to take over the Town. In both variations, the Cult is successful when recruiting a pro-Town player, while a Cult member dies if they attempt to recruit a player that is part of the Mafia.

Ok, so there would be no point in saying someone is immune to conversion, if they are a member of the mafia then.
My vote sticks with Shadow.

If we have a communist -and- capitalism cult..... this would be one screwed game. But if that is the case then we (hopefully!) don't have a third group.
Something I could imagine would be one communist and one capitalist group and if x players are communist / capitalistic they win. That would assume that we start off with 50/50 capitalism/communism diversion.
Provided Myrkr spoke the truth. She -did- pull a very convincing Terentia (or was it Lyreth?) impersonation in Rika's last game.
