QUOTE(Doman @ Sep 10 2008, 04:56 AM) 555448
I don't think you can vote for yourself, Arix. Even if you can, that is really suspicious
Many people immediately nominated themselves for Security Council. It made sense and it was also stated by Rika that it waas possible to do. Doman was the only one who found this action (on day one!) suspicious. Once it was pointed out to him (by Shiri) that it wasn't really suspicious at all, he prompty nominated himself.
I have been scum in past games, as such that behaviour -did- set me off because it showed a certain "carefulness" that you usually do not find in normal townies, especially vanilla townies. He seemed to play as if he had to lose something, and if public opinion was utterly important. At least that way my view, so I picked him to keep a watch on.
QUOTE(Doman @ Sep 10 2008, 04:59 AM) 555455
That doesn't seem quite...right, everyone's just gonna Vote themselves. I'm gonna
UNNOMINATE SHIRI
cuz he is getting a lot of votes, and I want to get a feel for everyone, first
UNNOMINATE SHIRI
cuz he is getting a lot of votes, and I want to get a feel for everyone, first
This was, after Shiri had gotten three votes. That's a lot? Not really. So why unnominate again immediately? He was no where near close to being elected.
Those are all small things and I may not even have gotten all now, but they all together made me suspicious. Besides, we lynched Requiem randomly the last day and it turned out to be a bad decision. At least now we do have some suspicion to go on, and don't have to vote randomly. Random, when you have probably two cults around, isn't that good.
QUOTE(Doman @ Sep 10 2008, 05:56 AM) 555515
I'm leaving my vote on Silvanus, it seems to me that saying "I'm cuba but I'm not communist" seems reeeeeally shady to me.
This was after Silvanus was talking about having nukes, and right before Shiri nominated him. Again, on its own it doesn't tell much, but as I had my eye on him already I interpreted it as just trying to bandwagon a likely target. People were suspicious of Silvanus already, so it was a "save" vote. Read my first paragraph again on why I think that suspicious if pulled repeatedly. He had shown nothing of his own -initiative- until then either. Just floating with the majority, constantly.
What caught me off guard also, was that his entire reason for voting Silvanus seemed to be grabbed out of thin air. He claimed Cuba was bad irl, so obviously it had to be bad in game too. He sticked to that opinion with quite some conviction too.
--------
There were other things since then, and he also continued this sort of behaviour on day two. As I said, all in all it makes me very suspicous of him, so my vote will definitely remain on Doman.

There was nothing -random- about my vote.
Shiri suggested that he felt that you were town after last night, he also said that the two of you can do something together, which implies you can talk to eachother....
I'm voting for Ryleth for the exact same reason that you are voting for Doman. The only difference is that you have 2 pieces of evidence against doman, and I have 3 against Ryleth.
ie., swinging votes, arguing with you about capitalism's evilness, voting for the red scare.

No, I have much more against Doman.
The power I gained from being in the Security Council was a roleblock. Guess what I used it for.
Night one I roleblocked Doman. Night two I roleblocked Doman.
We have had only one conversion each night and there is a -high- chance we have two cult groups.
That, together with my last post makes me very, very suspicious.
Unknown2008-09-12 20:51:01
Besides, what sort of evidence do you actually have?
Going off of two cult groups, there would have been two scum to start with, three with the conversion during night one.
So you can probably find two scum on redcare yes OR two on redscare no and one on the opposing side. Your chance of picking the correct target are -very- tiny.

Anyhow, I've said it before. I've put my FOS on him since day one. What's so surprising if I vote for him now?

Nowadays, I don't vote unless there's a vote count just a few posts before mine. Just in case. But do consider mine hanging over Doman for the reasons Shadow has suggested.
Also, about the increased funding, I'm still skeptical. Are we handing them nukes or what?

Or maybe just the ability for us tiny countries to resist any sort of attack. I don't see what handing the small ones nukes has to do with it.
Though, it may be the case.

3 on Doman if I counted correctly (myself, Myrkr, Calisu). Even if it's 1-2 more he's in no range for a lynch yet, so it's save to vote.
As for the funds... it's possible. I interpreted it as some nations gaining a daykill - possibly like Silvanus. Currently - unless my math is off - we should have three scum, two leaders one conversion. Out of 15 people. Additionally, we apparently have someone capable of liberating converted countries. I'd say the chances of townies gaining daykills are in our favour (and we don't have a ragefit-person so it should be save right? <.< -cough-).

Well, why didn't you say so from the get go?
Again, my vote was not random. Trying to figure out which of the people who voted against the red scare being communists WOULD be random. But I'm looking at a pool of 4 people who voted FOR The red scare, and 2 of them we have information on.
That leaves two people both of which (As you pointed out) are probabbly capitalists.
I'll save my vote for Ryleth tommorow

Yup. Right now, it's...
Doman - 5 (Shadow, Myrkr, Casilu, Furien, Daganev)
No Votes as of Yet - 9 (Shaddus, Shiri, Arix, Saran, Diamondais, Silferras, Ryleth, Doman, Zetsu)
Increase Yes - 6 (Casilu, Daganev, Doman, Shadow, Myrkr, Furien)
Increase N/A - 8 (Shaddus, Shiri, Arix, Saran, Diamondais, Silferras, Ryleth, Zetsu)

Well, it's so-so. There's a 3/15 chance of it benefiting scum and a 12/15 of it benefiting town. To some extend we -always- have to expect these nominations to benefit scum - I doubt there's ever going to be something were we can 100%tly say that it will only help town. In this case though I'd say the chances are vastly higher for town to benefit.. so yeah. I think we should take the risk in this case.

As one of the people who you're looking for proof against, you need to keep in mind I didn't quite trust Red Scare and voted No, then I in the end switched my vote to Yes.
I also have the sad precedence of not being given the 'fun' roles such as cult, mafia, etc.
(and the one time I did get it it was so vague to me I just never realized I had one. )
