Nobody else is concerned that doman, the person we are lynching for being scum, is voting yes?

Also, I'll be away for the weekend in a couple hours. So please let me know that you have atleast considered the possibility that voting yes is bad, since our presumed scum is voting for it.
Ryleth2008-09-13 00:18:05
I'd like to hear from the country that was reverted back to neutrality if possible. If they as a cult member were privy to names of any in the cult we might have a good indicator of cult leadership. I'd also like to see a roleclaim or some defense from Doman, so that'll be when he wakes up..hrm
Daganev2008-09-13 01:02:47
allright, I'm going out.

Vote INCREASE YES

Have a good weekend everybody.

Ok. Firstly I did not know req was on the council. Sucks that he was the cop too. But at least we know we have a cult rezzer (although we don't know who was culted, awkward.)

Secondly I have no idea why but my security council power is different from Aes', I can't roleblock. It didn't seem wise to reveal it before but since they differentiate I should point it out: I can instead force an issue, can't force a lynch though.

Now, about the issue: I have to agree with whoever made the assessment that this could backfire. But it could be something other than nukes, and naturally the cults gain control of it. I don't think Doman voting the way he did is a great reason to discount it, especially since it seems to benefit the town in some way even if it could also benefit the scum. However we should be considering it more carefully than we have been.

Vis. cults: since no one's responded with infos from their brief induction period, it might be that they didn't know who was on their side or something. (It could also be that they haven't woken up yet.) If anyone wants to reveal it anyway it'd help.

Doman, you'll want to roleclaim, you're almost lynched I believe.
Shiri2008-09-13 01:10:21
Oh, ninja'd by Dags, there goes the issue. Hopefully it won't backfire.
Rika2008-09-13 01:15:24
The United Nations have agreed to increase military spending in certain nations.
Shiri2008-09-13 01:20:37
Guess we'll wait for Doman to roleclaim then. I don't understand why you're going after Ryleth. The part where he voted alongside me/Diamondais/Arix on the red scare thing is not a scum tell. Our reasoning was something like this:

Red scare is almost guaranteed to hurt communists.
Red scare MAY help capitalists. It also may not.
Red scare MAY (as per Myrkr's post) hurt capitalists, somehow. Unlikely.

Those three factors seem to add up in favour of doing it, because it seems very likely to help but not all scenarios involve it hurting (by helping the other cult.) Even if it -did- help the other cult it would have been worth the risk.

Well, I'm off for the night. I wont put a vote down in fear I'll ninja lynch him.

Me too, I need sleepy.
Shiri2008-09-13 02:15:55
If I don't buy Doman's claim I can lynch him, I'll be up all day. (Is he one vote off or two?)
Arix2008-09-13 02:19:06
I do wonder why Daganev is against small countries being able to defend themselves.
Diamondais2008-09-13 03:49:09
Not entirely sure why he would be.

I refuse to make assumptions about him.
Doman2008-09-13 06:43:38
Fine. I'm Ukraine. Russia has had its eye on me since the cold war began, hoping to use me as a military state. As such, Every night, I can research technology and give it to whoever I want, which is what Shadow has been roleblocking. I can't use the technology on my own.
Doman2008-09-13 06:59:45
I can prove it tonight if someone would like
Doman2008-09-13 06:59:50

Shiri2008-09-13 07:01:23
You just basically admitted to being a military state of russia. I can't understand why you would think "Russia has its eye on me ... military state ... every night, I can "research" technology" is more believable than, you know, getting this technology from Russia or something (with love). The two things have no connection otherwise.

Vote: Doman.
Doman2008-09-13 07:03:15
No, I said russia -wants- me. I'm neutral
Doman2008-09-13 07:03:48
and I research it on my own, my first night was a nuke, and I haven't gotten anymore because of the roleblocks
Rika2008-09-13 07:33:38
Suspicious of Doman, the United Nations decide to invade him. They tried to attack him from all sides, but with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics covering so much landmass, this proved to be very tricky. However, they eventually succeeded. In an act of defiance against communism, they burnt down all the communist propaganda offices in the capital of Moscow before bombing the rest of their major cities. During the invasion, the United Nations uncovered nuclear weapons and spies, ready to be sent to other countries. Scientists were also transferred to laboratories to research more of these technologies. It was also discovered that the USSR had built an army strong enough to destroy other nations, something the UN are glad was not used. People across the world rejoiced, as the communist threat was seemingly over.

It is now Night Three. Send me your night choices promptly.
