If I'm not reading it wrong, converted nations which are revealed after the night is done (i.e. Dia) have been nightkilled by the cult (capitalist in this case), while the 'swayed from neutrality' is a recruitment.

Also, going with the Korea which is immune to communism seems like a good move, since I suspect that they'll kill each other off if left to their own devices as well. Not good.

SUPPORT NORTH

And Arix, do you mean that you cannot mechanically support communism, or is that some strange personal reasoning?

Considering the country I was given, I cannot support a communist government.

I'm not communist, I'm neutral. How often do I have to say that?

North Korea is communist IN REAL LIFE. But this is a GAME. And in this game I AM NOT COMMUNIST.

kthx.

Honestly Arix, did you get converted to capitalism or are you usually this thick headed? I thought we had established that the game has little to do with RL.
Arix2008-09-13 10:07:21
I am Afghanistan, and we all know what Russia eventually does to Afghanistan
Arix2008-09-13 10:08:14
I gotta be honest, this game confuses the hell out of me, so I'm just sticking to the 'communist bad' argument
Unknown2008-09-13 10:08:25
Okay, wait. Am I wrong about the cult-nightkill thing? Dia was capitalist and was hit by our vigilante? I'm confused.

Doman was Russia and we lynched him last day.........................
Arix2008-09-13 10:09:01
wait, he was?

Either that, or one of the small nations was given nightkills due to us voting to increase their funding. The latter would be my guess at least.

Also, I'm immune to capitalism, not communism. Communism got wiped when Doman died, Capitalism is still a threat. wink.gif
Shiri2008-09-13 10:10:26
I don't like your analysis, Aesyra. You assume that capitalism suddenly starts getting 2 converts per night when we thought communism fell.

What if Doman was only a communist convert, not a communist leader, and the communist leader is still out there? That would explain the conversion even though Diamondais got killed (or something) by the capitalists. The flavour text did say "believed" to have fallen.

Also, "support neither" could be either an either thing or a both thing. I think we want Aesyra alive, and PROBABLY want Myrkr alive, so we shouldn't vote south. We can choose between north or neither. I'm gonna stick with north for now.
Arix2008-09-13 10:10:52
Oh for crying out loud. Damn flavour text.

I'd still rather stick with neither, I wouldn't want to get attacked by one country because I support another
Shiri2008-09-13 10:11:47
OH. Now I get it. Hmm. Right, maybe Diamondais was -already- a capitalist convert and someone vigged her. I didn't think it made sense for the cult to kill her.

Doman was Ukraine btw, not Russia.

Communism was bad in this game also, as we had a communist cult. However, I've pointed to that in several of my posts now, Doman was communistic cult leader, he did not manage to recruit anyone. So now we have the capitalist cult leader and one capitlist recruitee left.

Supporting North Korea does not mean you support our late communism cult, because.. firstly I'm neutral secondly the cult is already dead.

No Shiri, he claimed Urkaine. Don't you read flavour? :

Suspicious of Doman, the United Nations decide to invade him. They tried to attack him from all sides, but with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics covering so much landmass, this proved to be very tricky. However, they eventually succeeded. In an act of defiance against communism, they burnt down all the communist propaganda offices in the capital of Moscow before bombing the rest of their major cities. During the invasion, the United Nations uncovered nuclear weapons and spies, ready to be sent to other countries. Scientists were also transferred to laboratories to research more of these technologies. It was also discovered that the USSR had built an army strong enough to destroy other nations, something the UN are glad was not used. People across the world rejoiced, as the communist threat was seemingly over.

It is now Night Three. Send me your night choices promptly.

Sounds very russia like to me.
Arix2008-09-13 10:14:10
Fine, communism is dead, I'd still rather stay out of the Korean War. If it comes to a point where you need a tiebreaker, I suppose I'll have to step in, but for now I would rather stayneutral.
Unknown2008-09-13 10:15:05
And yes, if my count is correct (and I don't see where it could not be) then Diamondais was converted to capitalism during night three to be exact.
Shiri2008-09-13 10:15:53
Hm. Ok, you're right. I did wonder why Ukraine was the head of the communists. orz.

Your analysis seems to hold up then; one cult left, and a vig (or SK, I guess, don't rule out that possibility). We should help either North Korea or neither.

Vote: Arix. You seem to really not want to help out here but your reasons are dubious at best.
Arix2008-09-13 10:16:45
Why am I scummy for wanting to stay neutral?
Shiri2008-09-13 10:19:05
You're scummy for having weirdass reasons to want to stay neutral. You're acting like you can't help Aesyra out for some reason. Maybe that's because you're a capitalist banking on the "neither" option to kill them both because Aesyra is about 80% confirmed at this point, or maybe you have better reasons, but if it's the latter I want to hear them.
Arix2008-09-13 10:20:36
I think you're just grasping at straws

I guess that means you have no good reason, then?

It's 7/12 to lynch, so let's stop at 6 votes.
