Mafia: Cold War Style

Back to The Real World.

@Shiri: SK and VIG are possible, but my actual guess would be that certain nations got a nightkill due to us increasing their military funding. Looks like we lucked out and a townie got a NK who then used it on Diamondais who turned out to be capitalist.

I've also been wondering about Arix' denial and claiming me to be communist based on irl facts (as in.. a totally invalid reason as far as this game is concerned). Glad I'm not the only one who noticed.

Vote: Arix

It's hard to remember that this game tends to veer from RL
Rika2008-09-13 10:24:39
People, read the flavour. It helps. dry.gif
Arix2008-09-13 10:25:27
Not really, it just confuses me more
Unknown2008-09-13 10:30:52
And I think we should have quite clearly established that this does NOT reflect real life.. Unless he have something to back up his 'communist is bad' argument, it sounds fairly suspiciously like Arix is indirectly supporting capitalism.

(Note: I wanted to post that almost after my last post, but was distracted, will leave it for now since it's still valid.)

I don't think we're grasping at straws here. There have been enough nights and enough inconsistencies that the fact that this doesn't follow the real world should be clear. I think Arix is the one grasping at straws to support his shady 'communism is bad but I won't say why' stance.

Vote: Arix

It really doesn't that much!

Aesyra: Hm. Well, it could be vig OR SK, insofar as a neutral might have gone berserk and started blasting everyone, or just generically gained vig powers. Consider that if Diamondais was converted night 3 as you said, then she was innocent before. She also hadn't done anything scummy, just...not said much of value.
Unknown2008-09-13 10:35:31
If I said night three, I meant night two. Because night three she died after all. -cough-

So there is one day where people could have thought of her as suspicious. It does not leave enough time for a night investigation though, so my guess is that whoever killed her lucked out.
Arix2008-09-13 10:36:17
I'm going to bed.
Shiri2008-09-13 10:37:12
3 more votes and then maybe give him another chance to explain himself, I suppose.
Arix2008-09-13 10:38:34
Oh, and just so I don't tie up the game with you guys waiting for a defense

I'm Afghanistan, I'm neutral, and my role has no special powers, though I did benefit from a larger military budget
Ryleth2008-09-13 10:49:06
Ladies and Gentlemen we DON'T know communism is dead. The text only says supposedly...China anyone?

That said SUPPORT: NORTH seems a better option with cult numbers and Shadow's role-claim

Hm, I suppose it's possible. 2 cult leaders but only one can recruit each night? If that is true then we may have 1 communist cult leader, 2 capitalist cult leaders and 1 recruitee left. Sounds a bit much. I suppose we'll have to wait and see if we ever have two conversions during the night again to see if there's anything supporting this theory. confused.gif
Ryleth2008-09-13 11:10:36
Theory time:
Support North will end up in killing myrkr?
Support South will end up in killing Shadow?
Support Neither will remain as we are, no killings.

Both have resistances, making them less easy targets for scum? And already known by the reviver as neutrals (or at least neutral post-conversion). Therefore the reviver should know he can revert them back to neutrality

Therefore
SUPPORT: NEITHER

Support neither could also kill -both-. I think vouching for Aesyra is safer.

The resistances don't make them less easy targets for scum btw. Unless Aesyra and Myrkr deliberately gave their roles backwards, all that has to happen is for the commies (if they can still convert, if they still exist) to go for Aes and the capitalists for Myrkr. And we won't know WHEN they're converted so the reviver won't necessarily go for them.

I think it's more likely that both will go poof if we don't support either, as well - I doubt this issue can so easily be resolved, though that might be what rika wants us to think! huh.gif

I'll keep my votes where they are, until more information or evidence is brought out. Need sleep!
Shaddus2008-09-13 18:39:21
God, I had to read all of that before I could post.

It seems supporting the north is what most are doing, because it blocks capitalism?

SUPPORT:NORTH

Reserving my vote for lynch until I see more develop.

So that I know, Diamondais died to a SK or Vigilante, right? Which does what? SK is random kill, or something, right? So what is a vigilante?

SK or Serialkiller is someone with a night kill who wins if only he is left. So they need to kill off both mafia and town.

A vig or vigilante is also someone with a nightkill but they win with the town.

Uhm, Hi!

I'm South Korea, and I wouldn't mind being blown to bits. mellow.gif

I am neutral, and I have no powers aside from being unable to be converted to communism.

Being interested in my own safety, I'm going to SUPPORT: SOUTH because we all know that South Korea on its own isn't too powerful.
