If a drunk man's all the information we have, I'm willing to give it a go. At best, we kill off the capitalist leader, and at worst.. We hit someone who has as much evidence on him as either Saran or anyone else. Might be a convert, might be a neutral, but the latter's a risk we need to take in every scenario - except confirmed investigates, of course. I personally think the possible benefits outweigh the risk.

Care to tell us what those circumstances are and what the power is?
What the power does is not for sharing, however it affects whoever kills me or is the last vote in a lynch
Saran2008-09-17 06:04:06
I will confirm, it is not "You get a little button that says win"
Casilu2008-09-17 06:07:54
If we're wrong, it's game over, basically. The capitalists convert someone tonight, they most likely hold majority.
Saran2008-09-17 06:10:11
Converting... is this killing?

No, it's what has been going on the whole time, they get the person on their side, so... unless we get the capitalist leader today, it's over.
Saran2008-09-17 06:18:46
then why are players narrowing down?

Someone has a night kill, not sure who, as well as our lynches.

So people are dying and getting converted

Looks like Saran is a bomb, so we will probably lose two today if he's lynched. As mentioned, if both of them are neutral, it's probably game over for us - we do have a reverter, but the SK (and incidentally, our lynches) is slowly narrowing the field down. As long as the capitalists keep up a certain number of converts, each day is one more day towards the capitalists winning the game.
We do need to hit the capitalist leader, and soon, and unless we have other leads, we can probably trust the drunk man for aforementioned reasons. Not to mention that while it could be indicative of unreliability, it could just be as effective a smokescreen for an actual non-paranoid investigate.

But if the reverter can get to Saran (asuming he is neutral) we need not fear the bomb? For now Furien seems a better choice and as she has two votes on her I'd ask her to role-claim now.
Of course Saran could just be lying

Firstly, making a bomb out of Vietnam sounds...odd. Making a bomb power for an entire country? I don't believe it. I'd expect some guerilla power from Vietnam, sure, but nothing like a vengeance or bomb. Maybe hiding at night or similar.
Second, you're seriously suggesting taking the trust of a random drunk hobo behind a bar in a country on whatever corner of the world that I'm the Capitalist leader? I understand we need to find the Capitalist leader, soon, but isn't that a bit of a stretch? :|
Saran2008-09-17 12:40:12
I don't control my power, it is completely automatic. And I never said i was a bomb

Perhaps whoever invades, (which is what a lynch is in this game) gets bogged down a killed in a guerilla war? it's just a thought. I'd still like to hear from you Furien, tramp or no
Furien2008-09-17 13:48:15
Since you insist...
I am Italy. My country has an extensive spy network that allows me to check a single post made by any player in the game for truthfulness. I'm guessing this is because I live so close to the 'battleground' of the Cold War, so to speak, and I wouldn't want any of my neighbors to come close.
I used this power on Shadow, back when she roleclaimed as North Korea. I found this suspicious that she wasn't an actual Communist scum at this point, and I got confirmed she was telling the truth. Nobody else suspected her, so I figured I'd wait until she was in danger of being lynched. Unfortunately, she ended up being nightkilled, which isn't something I could stop.
Now, I have to go to school, though I want to point out a certain trend in some of Silferras' posts. Be back some 6 hours.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that one of the Axis powers would be included in the U.N.?
Shaddus2008-09-17 21:24:29
Isn't this like 1980ish? There ARE no Axis/Allies any more, I thought.
Thought about the game all day at work. Anyway, I see this a few ways;
1: Casilu is right, Furien is the Capitalist leader. Possible. However, how would a DRUNK know this? Odd.
2: Casilu is wrong, via "paranoid cop role", Furien isn't the leader. Possible. Though I don't see Rika adding a paranoid cop to this game.
3:Saran is lying. Arix seemed to have some sort of "immunity to lynch once" power, I don't see Rika ALSO making a bomb role in the game.
4: Casilu is in some sort of collusion with Furien, who has the Jester role, IE "If I die I win". Doubtful. Still, possible.
Anyway, a few ideas running through my head.
Either way, VOTE:SARAN.

First, we started in 1945, right after the end of WWII, and remember the first thing said. The Allies formed the U.N., meaning we would be missing Germany, Japan, and Italy. Also, I think you just lynched Saran.
Casilu2008-09-17 21:32:09
No, we didn't, that puts us at three.
