Well, if my hypothesis is correct, I won't die. If it isn't, I won't die either way tongue.gif

As I said, this may be the last day, being reckless will get us nowhere.

Just to kind of mirror what some of the others have said. A paranoid cop power that is activated by a succesful passing of an issue with two cults and a serial killer would be a bit much so I am inclined to go with the investigation.

First, how is it activated with an issue passing?

Second, you're going to believe the investigation even though Casilu retracted it within, what, ten minutes? It was virtually a situation of "I SAW HIM DO IT, I REALLY DID, HE- WAIT I WAS LYING NEVERMIND", which is suspicious all on its own.

Unknown2008-09-18 04:24:19
When I said bomb, I meant the mafia role, not necessarily your actual power. It just means a player who kills someone who lynches or kills them, which sounds like what you are implying. Correct me if I'm wrong?

As I've said, Saran could be lying, but we stand to lose more if he's telling the truth - i.e. lose two people when we absolutely cannot afford to pare down our numbers so much that the capitalists win due to the majority. Conversely, we stand to gain the most if the drunk is telling the truth, but take the same risk either way, which is possibly losing one neutral member.

Given the few conversion-reversions we've seen, I think we can safely say that there are a few of our number who know who the leader is - I assume that the leader is revealed when someone is converted so as to prevent converts from lynching their leader, but there's probably a restriction in place to prevent said neutral-reverts from outing the leader. That being said, our reverter probably has the most concrete information with them now, since they know whom they have targetted and hence who has been successfully converted back to neutrality by the flavour text. Showing their hand might be suicide at this point, though!

I stick with my vote. Saran is just not worth the risk of killing two off at this point, and Furien has the potential to yield the most benefit.
Rika2008-09-18 04:26:17
Wow, you guys STILL haven't lynched someone.

Saran 2 Furien Shaddus
Furien 2 Ryleth Silferras
Daganev2008-09-18 07:45:26
7 alive and 4 people voting? wake up people! get the game moving... *nudge*
Unknown2008-09-18 09:39:02
Vote Furien
Ryleth2008-09-18 17:10:53
All is quiet on the cold war front...make it not so!
Shaddus2008-09-18 22:51:33
Saran 2 Furien Shaddus
Furien 3 Ryleth Silferras Zetsu

Furien is one away, Saran is two. Who hasn't voted?
Daganev2008-09-18 22:53:44
*pst, its on page 1*

Furien2008-09-18 22:58:41
It's up to Casilu. Who, I should mention again, retracted her previous claim. doh.gif

Spectator: Someone die already
Rika2008-09-19 07:32:05
Deadline is in 24 hours. The person with the majority at that point will be lynched.
Furien2008-09-19 13:18:05
Ok, we know there's a cult leader and at -least- one cultist in this group of 7. If we lynch the wrong guy today, we have a fair chance of losing outright. They'll convert one, going to either 3 or 4 if there's more than one cultist. If there's just one they still go to 3, and the SK has a 3/7 chance of instantly losing for us (i.e by hitting one of the 3 remaining townies.) This does exclude the reviver, but if we assume he's targetted and just very lucky so far, so we'll want to get them today. I suggest Casilu votes Saran. That way, if either of us are the scum, we (town) will just win. Even if Saran was telling the truth, I'll still die due to 3 votes being on each of us at the deadline. Consider, if I was scum this wouldn't benefit me since my side was losing anyway, so think carefully about this (but not too carefully, there's only a couple hours left.)

If both of us are telling the truth, we lose, but we have a high chance of losing tonight anyway. I think it's worth it.

I reserve the right to call a deadline at any time if a day is taking too long. At deadline, the player with most votes will be lynched. In case of a tie, no one will be lynched.

If Casilu votes Saran, the only thing that would achieve would be a no lynch as per the above, which is NOT something we want at this point in time. We need to nab the leader, and we need to nab him fast, either by this lynch or by the next (if our reverter is lucky and hits a convert tonight, given the best case scenario that we have a total of two cultists currently). It compounds my suspicions that Furien is..
1) trying to end the day with a no-lynch, and
2) if, let's say, that was an honest mistake, trying to get two people killed at the same time, which is exactly what we cannot afford at this time as per my previous post.

It smells of scum either desperately trying to survive by hoping no one notices the rules, or trying to take down a neutral along with him, respectively. It would benefit you both ways if you were scum, despite your claims to the contrary.
Shaddus2008-09-20 02:36:24
Screw it. I'm sorry, Furien. I didn't think you were scum, but this is insane. DAYS waiting on someone to change their mind. Gah.

UNVOTE, VOTE:FURIEN.

The United States of America, represented by Furien, became the next target of the UN's suspicions. Launching an aggressive attack on the USA, they found that Furien was the leader of capitalism. Just like the USSR, they had been researching new technologies and converting more and more nations to capitalism.

It is now night six. Send me your night choices.
Rika2008-09-20 19:39:00
Cambodia, represented by Silferras, was invaded by Laos, represented by Shaddus. Laos was capitalist at the time, but Germany, represented by Ryleth, liberated them shortly after. With five more nations alive, the communist state of Hungary, represented by Casilu, realised they did not stand a chance against the neutral nations, as they did not have the influence of the USSR or PRC. As such, they surrendered themselves. The world (what was left of it anyway) was now safe from all threats of communist or capitalism.

TOWN WINS!

Roles at the beginning of the game:

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Doman)
You represent the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
Faction: Communist

-You may privately talk to the People's Republic of China (daganev)
-You cannot be converted from communism
-Each night, your nation will research new technologies. You will be informed of this at the beginning of each night. You can then give these technologies to another country (each can have a maximum of two technologies, unless otherwise stated). You cannot use these technologies yourself.
-Each night, you may convert a country to communism. Send me a PM with your choice.
-Each night, you can choose to go to war (and destroy) another country. There is a 50% chance of this working, and regardless of its success, this will forbid you from researching or converting the night you go to war, as well as the night after.
-You win if communism represents a majority of the UN.

People’s Republic of China (Daganev)
You represent the People's Republic of China

You represent the United States of America
Faction: Capitalist

-You may privately talk to the United Kingdom (Shiri)

North Korea (Shadow)
You represent North Korea
Faction: Neutral

MODNOTE: If the communist converter is roleblocked while converting, the conversion still succeeds.

South Korea (Myrkr)
You represent South Korea
Faction: Neutral

-You cannot be converted to communism
MODNOTE: If the capitalist converter is roleblocked while converting, the conversion still succeeds.

Vietnam (Saran)
You represent Vietnam
Faction: Neutral

-Through the use of guerrilla warfare, if you are to be killed, your attacker dies in your place. This includes lynches (in which case the last person to vote for you dies). This only works once, automatically.

Germany (Ryleth)
You represent Germany
Faction: Neutral

-You represent the “Iron Curtain”. Each night, you can protect one country from being converted from neutrality as well as one country to attempt to liberate.

-Being a random island in the middle of the sea, people don't usually check up on you. As such, you have created two nuclear weapons, enough to destroy two countries. You can type NUKE in bold to destroy them. May have side effects. Or it may not.
MODNOTE: I.e. be an idiot with these and it will have side effects.

Poland (Zetsu)
Greece (Diamondais)
Hungary (Casilu)
These were all vanilla townies at the beginning of the game.

Technologies researched by the heads of capitalism/communism:
-one-shot kill
-three delayed investigations (i.e. spy on one night, name revealed the second night)
-ability to find any spies in one country and get rid of them with a 50% chance of revealing their country of origin
-rocket (only useful on the day with the moon landing. Whichever faction used it first wins the issue)

Issues:

Day One: Security Council
MODNOTE: First one becomes roleblocker. Second has a one-shot issue vote decider.
MODNOTE2: Shadow becomes roleblocker. Shiri gains one-shot issue decider.

Day Two: Redscare
MODNOTE: Winning ideology gains an option to convert two nations, with 75% success for each and losing ideology has conversion success dropped to 50%. Both effects last one night.
MODNOTE2: Communism won. Chose to convert twice

Day Three: Military Spending
MODNOTE: Yes: two random neutral nations without powers. First given vigilante, second given one immunity from a conversion or a kill; No: Nothing happens.
MODNOTE2: Shaddus given nightkills, Arix given immunity

Day Four: Korean War
MODNOTE: Nation not supported dies the following night. If neither is selected, both are immune to conversion the following night.
MODNOTE2: Myrkr dies.

Day Five: Moon Landing
MODNOTE: This is a silly issue. No effect either way. If the rocket is used before a majority is reached on this issue, the faction who used it first will have two conversions that night.

Day Six: Star Wars
MODNOTE: Yes: all existing nuclear weapons ineffective. No: Nothing happens.
