Could be either, or some trippier setup. But the odds of NOT having a scum group are low, and what other group could be a scum group if the Russians were a cult? Are there any available?

I'll think about who else could be a threat to global security during this time, only other one I can think of is America, strangely enough, since they loved to invade and help fight those who were fighting Russia.
Silvanus2008-09-10 03:55:25
It does not follow history.

Well, it might for some and might not for others.

Rika just fails and is far to vague.
Doman2008-09-10 03:56:36
I'm leaving my vote on Silvanus, it seems to me that saying "I'm cuba but I'm not communist" seems reeeeeally shady to me.
Diamondais2008-09-10 03:57:00
How about.. we play the game and not bash the Moderator? wtf.gif
Doman2008-09-10 03:57:23
Wow...messed up grammar. I will make it easier.

Cuba = suspicious

The second part seems more likely, while some countries are seeming to follow history (namely mine as I seem worthless), others like yours do not.

Unnominate: Silferras, Nominate: Silvanus. (Still nominating myself for obvious reasons. I have no nukes though.)

History appears to be totally unreliable, so this is going to be a hell of a confusing theme game. So, Silvanus has a 2x daykill, unless he's lying. If we don't put him in the council this means we lose access to this skill. If Silvanus is smart enough not to whiff them on townies, it'll be helpful.

That sounds completely weird to me as a non-historian (why would they invade people fighting their enemies!?) but I'll take your word for it - America does seem more plausible as a scum group when you consider that the rest of us are neutral, rather than ...members of the EU or something.

I guess we'll count up how many kills we get on night one. A serial killer seems kind of arb in a setting like this (ALIENS!), so.
Silvanus2008-09-10 04:04:35
Sorry, I even PMed Rika saying Seriously about my role.

Nobody is going to forget history, especially history in the past fifty years, especially when people lived through the Cold War and the fact that Cuba is still Communist today.

People are not going to forget that, and I'm going to bash Rika until she stops being vague.

And the fact that people label me suspicious because Cuba is Communist in Real life just points more to the fact that Rika needs to quit being vague.

Sorry! Worded it wrong, I noticed it after I posted. When I said invade, they would invade people who were about to convert to communism as containment, but I'm not sure when the Monroe Doctrine first appeared.
Rika2008-09-10 04:05:33
Ok. I'll stop being vague now. Should I reveal everyone's roles for you as well, Silvanus? Would that be specific enough?
Casilu2008-09-10 04:07:27
Okay, Monroe Doctrine was 1823, wrong one.
Arix2008-09-10 04:08:33
I'm keeping my vote on Silvanus. He is acting suspicious and hostle, and we don't need people like that in the UN

A note for you all: Events and nations in this game may or may not resemble what happened IRL.

Seriously Rika.

This is already a guessing game, why would you say "may or may not."

It makes that entire statement completely pointless.

At least in your Elder Wars one, you aligned the roles up correctly to how they were written. Not jumbled them like this.
Shiri2008-09-10 04:09:51
Sheesh, we'll just deal. A 2x daykill which MAY have adverse effects is not beyond our ability to comprehend, nor is a messed up history.
Rika2008-09-10 04:10:32
I don't really want to argue, so I'll just say that my statement stands. Some people have picked it up, others (like you), haven't.
Arix2008-09-10 04:10:45
Silvanus, if you don't want to play, ask to be replaced. Otherwise, stop being an ass
Diamondais2008-09-10 04:12:25
I think chilling on the Mediterranean was a lot more interesting than this, at least we didn't question the almighty one watching our every move..

Silvanus2008-09-10 04:12:36
I did decide to play.

It's you, Casilu, and other people who decided to think this was real life and say Cuba is a suspicious claim.

At least I'm not claiming Atlantis or something.
Arix2008-09-10 04:14:07
I voted for you because you claimed to have nukes and i wanted to know who we were dealing with. I am keeping my vote on you because of your hostility.
