Sitting here waiting for my next class to start.. Sooo. How about a thread for people to share their characters history in relationships whether they be funny, weird, or sad.
Ill start I suppose.
Alright, about a few months after the portal Seraku met another Dracnari named Kundu Kor'Lath. Who shared his knowledge of Dracnari history, so the two became good friends. Shortly after Kundu introduced Seraku to his daughter Zinnaella. The two hit it off quite well and they were both shy and had a crush on one another but didn't say anything about it. They would spend long strolls in the desert hunting here and there talking for hours on end. Just before they actually started dating Zinnaella went to sleep for about 2 years or so.. And when she woke..
Well Ill finish when people give their stories I got alot of these stories too.

My first wife, stole my ship, with lots of stuff in it. A garden, my throne, her throne, fountain, my posh clothes inside a stasis gem'ed cabinet. I think I spent a few million or more on that ship, and she stole it.
You fail to mention that your first wife was also your second wife and will be your third wife when you're done with the bloodbonding. And that you still have access to the ship.

Myrkr has been through a lot of relationship messes.
Her first relationship was with Bryan, and it flopped instantaneously. They only got together because Myrkr "looked pretty". The flop-time came when he suggested they attack a moose, and then she was the only one attacking it, and he left the area completely, leaving her to try to kill it herself.
Her second relationship was with Atook. Big. Mistake. He promised her that he could take care of her like no other guy could of, she fell for it. Eventually, he wanted to have intercourse with her. But, he being a broke Lobo that mooched off of Myrkr and Myrkr being a Faeling, the size difference was too staggering, and she declined hastily. Then he went on to comment about how all of his other girlfriends were willing to become Lobos for him. And then Myrkr suggested he should go off with one of those girls instead, and broke the engagement. That was also the first instance Myrkr had Faeling Pride for, and why she gets upset when people who are Faeling switch to another race.
For a brief time she had a relationship with some Seren mute whose name I do not recall. Also had a relationship with a different Lobo whose name I don't recall. Those two males were in a fight for her love, aaand they both went inactive.
After that came Jasato. Myrkr wouldn't have met Jasato if it wasn't for her cousin, Kares, who loved pulling pranks and jokes. As such, Kares brought Myrkr to the Pool of Stars with her voice and his voice being masked as Jasato's. Jasato was there, and caught on rather quickly, and they pretty much hit it off from there. They ended up being pretty crazy and lovey-dovey about each other, and they adopted Heskel together (who wasn't used to being swamped with love), but over time they began to drift apart. Jasato was around other girls more often, had less time for Myrkr. Myrkr was around boys more often, but still would have rathered spent time with Jasato. Then she went dormant for a while, and he did too... when she came back, she found out he wouldn't be back for a long time and divorced him. And then he popped back up asking what the deal was. They got engaged again, but not married a second time.
Myrkr's engagement to Fionn was the next thing that happened, as per things actually logged by the game. She wasn't in love with Fionn, but, somebody had hurt her not all that long ago (we'll talk about him next!), and she knew what it was like to be alone, and didn't want Fionn to go through that. So, she accepted the proposal, though the depth of a relationship between them never really came through. She was secretive with him. He was secretive with her. A few IG months after he got killed, she broke off the engagement with him.
Now. Urazial. What. A. Mess. Yet. What. Fun!
Before she even had interacted with Bryan, Myrkr met Urazial in Faethorn. He thought she was stealing fae, and came to confront her about it. All she was doing was foraging, and had told him such. Urazial gave her some money (10000 gold) and told her to go buy herself some food. She asked him why he was doing that for her when she wasn't from the same commune as he was, and he simply stated that because he was different didn't mean he was bad, and that she should bother to learn about people instead of assuming who and how they are based on where they're from. Which had a huge huge huge HUGE impact on Myrkr.
Sometime after Myrkr broke it off with Jasato, she gathered up 10000 gold and sent it in a letter to Urazial. A few months after that, she went on a raid on Ethereal Glomdoring and got enemied to the Shadowdancers and Night, and Urazial swamped her with tells and scries, telling her she was going to die over and over again and that none would be able to save her. Urazial was already important to her from that lesson he taught her way back when, and Myrkr quickly got herself unenemied to Glom and its guilds, and sent Urazial a tell asking if he forgave her. He said he had no reason to forgive her, because she was a Seren. She reminded him of a certain young Seren Faeling he had helped out and told not to judge others by their Commune. It took him a few moments (slow!) but when he remembered, he became overwhelmed. Myrkr was depressed during that time, so, he began to try to convince her to move to Glomdoring so that they could be together.
But then, he broke up with her. Why? Because he wasn't used to her being so kind and caring towards him, and it made him uneasy. She was still considering moving to Glomdoring, then Maylea popped up, and Myrkr is now rooted into Seren. ( Maylea) But, then, once Myrkr got engaged to Fionn, Urazial came back into her life. He had said he didn't love her, that he had been lying, but then he attacked Fionn and told her he loved her. That he was wrong, that he hadn't understood what love really meant, and that he wanted to be with her and only her. Myrkr was still in love with Urazial, and after talking with Maylea, knew what she needed to do. She broke off the engagement with Fionn. Myrkr told Urazial that if they were to actually be together, one of them would need to give up their home. And so, Urazial being the sweetheart he is said Myrkr was happy following Lady Maylea, and that's when the whole unenemying mess began for Urazial, which he rants about on a regular basis!
Also, as most know, Myrkr and Urazial's relationship actually caused a war.
There's all of Myrkr's relationships... toodles!

Somaria and Haiden
Somaria and Haiden met when he came back from being inactive. She wasn't all too into combat, and he was asking for spars. She accepted and in the arena, their friendship began.
At first, things were great. He and Somaria would spend loads of time together, though he was putting on this wierd facade of trying to manipulate her to get back at his wife, Niahm. Eventually, he professed love and after arguments, left Niahm and proposed to Som.
Things continued in an 'ok' manner until hunting came into the picture or some other issue. Haiden had a huge temper. HUGE temper. There was a lot of sacrifice on Somaria's part and on mine as a player - staying up at all hours to fit his unusual schedule.
There was a lot of emotional abuse towards Somaria, who in reaction, ventured elsewhere for attention, earning her flirty reputation (Which was propelled by Le Jardin). He would often storm off in a huff over no reason.
Eventually he disappeared entirely. People from all over the basin began to strike out at Somaria, no longer sheltered by Haiden's blades.
She was bitter, hateful towards Haiden for abandoning her. She fought and fought, wanting to be strong. Not the strongest, but just strong enough to see Haiden fall, if but just once.
When he returned, she sought him out, intent on gaining closure. He was in a manse and tried to attack her. She beat his ass.
And she was happy.
The end.

Fionn2008-09-13 00:59:13
Wow. Where to start?
It's probably worthy to note first that Fionn was the only active undersec in his guild for a long, long time, and as a result he had to deal with all sorts of odd characters and problem novices. He had more than a couple novices randomly falling in love with him, and even a few crazed depressed types with suicidal tendencies to deal with on the side. This is primarily what lead to him becoming very thick skinned and cautious about people.
Eventually he becomes guildmaster, and shortly thereafter he's idly talking to the guild administrator about nothing in particular, marriage comes up, and Fionn expresses interest in possibly having some kids down the road. A few days later, the guild administrator says "Hey, come over here and meet my daughter!", one thing clumsily trips into another, and he ends up in a sort of arranged relationship with Alani.
Things go along nice and quietly until one day, Fionn gets jumped by a random Ur'Guard he's never met before. Which is unusual for him, since no one ever really bothers with jumping him. He ends up narrowly escaping with Alani in tow only to bleed to death at the Pool of Stars, lots of drama ensues. Alani pulls him aside and opens up about a brief relationship she had with a Magnagoran who apparently wasn't convinced that what they had going wasn't over yet. Fionn doesn't let that deter him, he keeps things up, gets a variety of cryptic and vague death threats, escapes from a few more assassinations, and in the mean time he grows closer to Alani far more quickly than he had been before.
Time passes and the threats and attempts wane away, and by the time Fionn marries Alani they've all but stopped and are just a bad memory. Alani is really attached to him by now. Too much, in fact. She follows him around everywhere, is interested in every little thing he does, eventually quits her own guild to join his, eventually reincarnated to be the same race as his, and for all intents and purposes, becomes his very shadow. She learns how to read him very quickly and efficiently, and there's virtually nothing that they won't share. He occasionally talks to her about being more independent sometimes, but he doesn't really push it, and it doesn't ever happen. He grows very used to this and grows to accept it.
Eventually Alani starts appearing less frequently, often disappearing for years at a time. Fionn himself slows down a lot, steps down from Archmage, and ends up disillusioned. He'd grown so used to Alani being around that he wasn't quite sure how to direct himself without her or without a position of power, and with the backing of a few other factors, he moves to Serenwilde.
Moving reinvigorates him some, but not enough. He turns into a quiet little old hermit of a druid and becomes totally introverted for a span. He doesn't see or hear word from Alani for many years now.
Then as chance would have it, he ends up having one very open discussion with Myrkr about his past, and some of the things that have dragged him into his deep funk in the Wilde. They end up talking more, some flirtatiousness ensues, but Fionn doesn't do anything with it just yet.
Then he finally hears word from Alani and is able to meet up with her shortly. She has a very straightforward, frank conversation with him about her will to remain in the First World, that she may likely never come back, or only fleetingly if that, and that'd she would be totally understanding if he were to chose to get a divorce if there was someone else for him, and Fionn gets a feeling she almost wants him to do it to make her leaving easier for her to handle. He gives it some thought, and soon after the divorce comes, and Fionn makes his move to propose to Myrkr.
They get to know each other more than they did before, and Fionn starts to shed off some of his hermit tendencies as they go along. Fionn talks about all sorts of things with Myrkr, but generally doesn't go into too much detail over his relationship with Alani. He figures if he talks up his first wife too much, this will make things awkward and weird. He avoids talking about the magnagoran assassins and the depth of his closeness with Alani, and mostly describes his marriage with her as "a good and pleasant arrangement" (which it was, but at the same time wasn't the whole story).
Myrkr is absent for some years, but Fionn gets through that easy. He's used to waiting. When she returns, they go out hunting together, and trip into the Urazial murder plot, which was already pointed out earlier. Fionn gets some major deja vu and wonders what will be in store for him this time. Not to be shaken so easily, he takes Myrkr with him back into the Inner Sea to look for corpses he might have dropped and tries to talk to Myrkr about what happened. To his surprise, she's totally silent. She hardly talks at all. Fionn eventually starts talking to himself, drops a few snide comments, apologizes for them, and still does little more than elicit some head nodding and a few curt sentences. This sets off all sorts of red flags with Fionn, but again, he doesn't let this deter him. He figures that whatever secret is being kept from him will have to come out eventually, and so long as he continues to invest trust in her freely, it will be bound to come out.
And surely enough, it did. The very next time he bothers to wake, Myrkr calls him over to have a talk. After a lot of hesitation, odd pleas, and anticipatory apologies, she tells him she doesn't really love him, she loves Urazial - the guy who just killed him when they were last together - and she's going to break off their engagement.
And then, Fionn has one of his most defining roleplay moments ever.
This is a major wakeup call. Fionn knows he needs to do something, and do something fast. No time to be a hermit and mull over things, he needs to respond. He gives himself five seconds. In that time, the one lecture that Lyreth ever gave to him comes to mind, a lecture about truth and its value. And that sets his mind on course. To his own surprise, he very coolly informs Myrkr that in spite of the nature of her statements, the honesty within them and her ability to be honest strikes a chord with his sensibilities. He promises that in return for such honesty, he will not speak about Myrkr's decision to anyone in the Wilde. So instead of ending with a volatile explosion, it ends with the faintest fizzle.
When Myrkr leaves, Fionn needs to take a moment to consider what he's done. It doesn't make sense to him at first. Shouldn't he have been more angry and called her out to the whole commune on the spot? But when he thinks about it, if he did that, what would have been the inevitable outcome? Most likely she would have gotten into a lot of trouble, and very likely driven from the Wilde. Which means that it would be really easy for her to enter into a relationship with Urazial, without the same former restraints as before. Urazial, who hadn't really proved himself in any way (Urazial has no reason to care about Fionn, so his act of slaying him is equally without meaning or depth in Fionn's mind - also keep in mind that Myrkr told Fionn absolutely nothing about her relationship with Urazial) would have to work a lot harder to get what he wanted. If there was anything true in Urazial, he might pull it off eventually, but only through trouble and some actual sacrifice on his part. On the flip side, if Urazial didn't, Myrkr would be let down, and she would get burned. So in a sense, what he did made life more difficult for Myrkr in the long run than it might otherwise have.
This left Fionn with a sense of empowerment and a rush of energy. He'd acted without being vindictive, he'd honoured truth as he was taught, and he didn't let a nasty situation take control of him. From this point on he was able to shake off what was left of his deep funk and start driving himself towards a new aim, which eventually lead to him returning to Celest.
Fionn's too preoccupied with making an effort to move away from introspection into action to consider relationships right now, and as a player I'm looking forward to minimizing drama of that flavour in the near future. Yay, bachelorhood!
How's that for a messed up relationship history?

Actually, I have to say that is one of the most inspiring things I have read in quite a long time. It seems like Alani may have really cared for you, and just wanted you to be happy, if she wasn't around. I don't know her, but that's merely my opinion. Myrkr seemed torn, and perhaps trying to use you to fill a void in her life.
Either way, quite a good read.
Either way, quite a good read.

You can't say you were bored, though! And it helped facilitate new RP for you!

Yea, that whole predicament with Seraku had me thinking alot OOC of what he would do. Overall it kept me entertained both in game and whilst working at my boring job.

Iytha has been engaged to 3 different people and the groom got cold feet every time.
Harkux2008-09-13 02:33:29
Harkux's first relationship was with Atook (because, at the time, I was with him IRL, but that's something I'm not going to further elaborate on). It was a very short-lived thing. They met right after Harkux got gender-changed to a female, because as she claims, she came out of the portal wrong. Once she told him she started off a boy, he went off on a tangent of hateful things against her, but then apologized. However, a lot of hateful things continued IRL and I ended up cutting off contact with him because I was really just sick of the nasty phonecalls I kept getting from him. Wasn't long after that he got shrubbed.
After that there was Ryashain. They met at Mother and just hit it off, at first they became good friends and eventually they were married. It eventually became clear, though, they were meant to be just friends, and they divorced. They're still, however, on good terms.
Then, there was Gregori. They met at a Weakening, got along, got married. Harkux found out he was her great great grandfather and really didn't care. That marriage is the one that most people remember Harkux going into atleast partially normal and coming out quite messed up xD

Lawliet2008-09-15 22:32:59
Let's see... Started off with Iyre, who was with someone else and who Lawliet actually kinda thought was annoying to begin with, he was with someone else at the time who he left and she suicided a short while after the engagement, after about 17 months he left her and went to glomdoring and hooked up with one of her friends, Chelsea, a few months after that he left her but this is going off on a tangant, needless to say she swore revenge for if she ever saw him again (He went innactive) for hurting her and her friend which she eventually got, but more on that later. After a few years whilst hunting she met up with Ashtar, they hit it off and she remembered him because he was on of the very few people that ever used her as a bookbinder .
After a while they did get together properly and all was good, untill she met Bryan who was, at the time, with Pya. She hit it off with him and Ashtar went innactive, so she left him and Bryan left Pya (Something she regrets, sort of, partly because Pya was a friend, but mostly because it turns out Bryan was really mean ), then this is where the weird kicks in (At least it seems weird to me), They engage and after a while Bryan leaves her with no warning for his ex-wife Jackie, whom all he ever said about her was nasty, mean things, they got married quickly and a while later (I think about three, four IG years) he starts talking to her again, they once again grow close but then she meets Jim, who she gets together with I think a whole three months before she finds he's cheating (Though since the person he was cheating with didn't know he was taken, she'll never say who it was with), she gets depressed and quickly gets back together with Bryan, to the annoyance of two of her closest friends by now, Kaorin and Pya, she marries him and then quickly finds out that he is now mean, or realises that she never noticed before, they argue, a lot, sometimes being angry at each other for the better part of a year.
Eventually Bryan breaks her heart by telling her something, not that he was cheating, oh no, (again, this is a weird bit), but that a lot of him being mean to her was just him 'testing' her, which he apparantly did with everyone, all his friends and lovers, she begins to see why he is hated by a lot of people. She then falls in love with Kaorin (who she had a brief fling with inbetween 1st and 2nd relationship with Bryan), and after several more years of Bryan being mean she leaves him, which she found surprisingly easy, which still confuses her to this day, since she used to love him so much.
So she eventually gets together with Kaorin and engages her on her own birthday , which almost didn't happen as Kaorin has feelings for Pya, but Pya had been out of the realms for several years so it eventually happens.
...I'm missing something here... oh yeah! The revenge! It was at this point that Iyre began entering the realms again, she talked with him and found out that Iyre had only left her because she wanted children and he had gotten cold feet, he was still upset about his own cowardice and then commited suicide (Though you'll notice he still has HONOURS if you log in, this is either because he bought credits or because he was too stupid to use the suicide command, and although it doesn't look like he bought credits, what with the really low might, he did switch guilds many many times), huzzah for revenge
Final weirdness, a few months after leaving Bryan he tells her he now has a big manse (Her goal since leaving the portal was to get a manse without buying credits, something she recently achieved), she asks how and he merely says "I know the right people". (This next bit is just what I hear, I'd need a god to confirm it, probebly) It turns out he stole it with some soul wickedness (As in, logged onto Jackies account and transferred it), and he got shrubbed for it, leaving her and Kaorin to love each other in peace, since he was distracting her.
And there we have it!, my only wish is that I had less weird and more funny
Edit: Oh my... that's a longer post than I thought it was when I was writing it...

You know, maybe that would qualify as their love story. At least, one-sided love.
Slash fiction anyone?

So this hartstone named Kharaen started bugging Dinoniel so he started calling her fat and ugly to get her off his back. Apparently she's at least partly masochistic because this didn't seem to discourage her. She would say things like "man I suck cause I can't find this crystal" and Dinoniel would say "yes, yes you do. Here I'll find it in 5 seconds" and she would say "oh wow thanks you're so nice for finding it" and Dinoniel would try to explain "no, i didn't do it out of compassion or sympathy. It was to help prove you suck". Their mutual friend Flacarealah would smile knowingly causing Dinoniel to -facepalm- occasionally. Eventually Kharaen reincarnating into a faeling which made him Hungry because up until this point he had only tried merian flesh and next to taurian meat faeling wings were at the top of Dinoniel's list of things to try. So he started willingly hanging out with her will trying to devise a clever plot to somehow dine on her wings. He told her this but she laughed and thought it was a joke. During this time she helped him solve a quest he was having trouble with and he realized "oh i guess she can be useful" and married her.
The end.
