Fixed. Aquamancers have passive healing and affliction curing with Healspring/Sweetfount both on 9.5/10 second tics, I think. I just don't know what affects how much HealSpring will heal... Aquamancy skill, INT, etc. Most people say that's unfair/OP, but you're saying that it sucks? sad.gif

Yes, it sucks. Curing me for 1k health every 10 seconds isn't going to stop the 5,000 damage I'll take in group combat in that same 10 seconds. Will it keep everyone else alive? Sure. Not me. I also think the Aqua demesne outside of Currents is pretty bad (I haven't even seen anyone use currents intelligently in AGES, now that I think about it), but that's just me.

Well if we could get Forren back to explain proper meld usage, that might change your tune. I'm fairly sure he left some advice in guild scrolls about properly using an Aqua meld, but no one seems to bother reading it. dunno.gif

EDIT: Not to mention that in Celestia raids, the melder tends to get demi zapped and melders are generally Merians who have electricy weakness.
Furien2008-09-17 22:06:58
And Celestia is, by design, heavily pro-demesne. Even assuming you engage the enemy and get a melder past them to break the corners, they have 4 different corners to break through before they can even weave a whole (sub-par) demesne together. If you're trying to retake it, you're really just stuck with one of the corners. :S

There are two points that are very easy to get to, though. There is a rift from Celestia to Water by Methrenton that most Aquamancers tend to ignore, which is practically right on top of a break point. I try to use this one whenever Silvanus/Esano/whoever is tied up under the Pool. If we're lucky enough to have a cubix, we could break from Raziela too... on the flip side, Mags use that point, so it's a good place for them to start (re-)melding. It would probably save us tons of grief to get four Aquas and just meld the Supernals' chambers when we can...

EDIT: But agreed, it's a severe headache to try to break Celestia. Druids have it easier in their Etherforest because you don't have to worry about the raiders melding... only breaking. I think Water and Earth are this way, as well (no hostile melds, just breaking) but the Supernals/Demon Lords aren't on the Elemental planes. sad.gif

Serenwilde, though Glomdoring comes a close second, if only I could pull off the dark thing.

Probably Shofangi or Spiritsingers or Moondancers...they all seem really cool, with cool people too...
Unknown2008-09-17 23:45:47
I'd go Shadowdancers, mostly because they look like an awsome guild, but also because Glom's low numbers would make my mediocre fighting capabilities look good freaked.gif
Serella2008-09-17 23:59:04
Definitely Spiritsingers. I love the culture and concept of the guild, as lorekeepers of the Serenwilde and guardians of the ancestral spirits. Plus the people in it are really awesome biggrin.gif

But of course, Serella's a Moondancer through and through and would never change. Both her parents are Moondancers and followers of Lisaera, so she feels she has a tradition to carry on.

Mag Nihilist. I like the Astrology skill set, it seems fun. I have thought about making Trill alt of them (Trill because it is the other race I would like being.) The Wiccan type gets the nice skills and yet the Druids get probably the better of the two Nature Spirits. Atleast Druids do get Runes which I do like.
Xavius2008-09-18 00:51:46
I miss the Celestines. I would go back in a heartbeat. I'm far more likely to come back as a Celestine than as a Blacktalon, to be entirely honest, especially if I come back without Yeralih to keep me in Glom.

I'd be a Shadowdancer for the chance at some sexy and interesting RP or a Ninjakari for some fun bashing and the potential for RP.

Actually, I think the Ninjakari have more RP than the Shofangi and Tahtetso. Also, Myrkr tends to enjoy being in the know-how, how better than to have Stealth and eavesdropping all over the place?

Talk to someone high-up in the Ninjakari to get an idea. They have RP. tongue.gif

I have been. He said there is just about nothing.
Rika2008-09-18 04:20:00
Have to admit I jumped onto the Shadowdancer bandwagon. ninja.gif
Casilu2008-09-18 04:25:19
I'd say Ninjakari, just to make the claim of mastering all kata styles.
Moiraine2008-09-18 05:10:51
Voted Ninjakari. The only circumstances I can think of that would push Moiraine out of Celest would probably drive her to understand the antithesis of all her beliefs.

My current character doesn't really care so much about politics, and is generally too busy philandering or getting drunk to worry about Tainted or not, so he's drawn to wherever he finds most people he enjoys the company of.

Which, from previous experience, turns out to be Magnagora.

Glomdoring is too quiet and Celest... is just Celest.
Unknown2008-09-19 10:49:58
If there was no lesson loss, enemyship etc.. I'd go Shadowdancer / Harbinger. Voted Harbinger here since I've been a wiccan before.

I've just discovered that I'd prefer playing in a darker / evil environment. Good places always seem to draw the 12-year-old idiots and then people are just too incapable to give them a good kicking / enemying.

Mag is not a question, because a) I've been there before and cool.gif I don't like people fighting with their cock rather than their head. That's the sort of people Magnagora seems to draw.

For various and many many reasons Glomdoring is never going to happen for Aesyra though... so you can all rejoice. wink.gif
Daereth2008-09-19 14:18:24
Gonna have to say Shadowdancer, I've never played a wiccan before and Mother Night just attracts me.
