What difference is there between what happened in this thread and what happened to you? You mentioned parry, but parry stops Bomolini too if you parry the legs, but oh that is easily bypassed with the monk knocking the person prone. Seems BCs can do the same thing, unless there is something that stops wind from working while the person is prone? BCs back then felt that it was impossible to do what was shown in this thread, but now it is known that it was just a matter of using very fast weapons to accomplish the feat.
Anyhow, just Like Bomolini needed/needs a fix, this needs a fix too. Yes, Sacrifice needs balance to stack inorder for it to be possible to pull off, but it does not need it to stack continuously. What ever limit is placed on how much balance stacks, needs to be looked at again. Also, allowing it to stack to a certain point does not exclude the possibility that after the max stack time is reached, that a balance loss immunity timer be placed after the person regains balance. I believe it is possible to balance both sides of this equation that keeps balance loss stacking from being over or underpowered.

What are the other tertiaries based around then?
What is stag based around? Crow? Is there any other tertiary that is based around a single mechanical afflcition, at least, in regards purely to knights?

It's always appeared to me in regards to what communities are aligned with which types of things.. it always seemed like Celest was aeon/blackout Glom choke/bleeding Seren aeon/sleep Mag hunger/balance loss. Correct me if I'm wrong, that's just how it has always appeared to me. Yes, it is not possible to sacrifice someone without balance loss stacking unless you're fighting some noob. That's the whole basis behind changing the 1s stun on crucify to 1s balance loss. Even before the crucify you have to have some form of balance loss tacked onto the prep so that they don't begin writhing before you get balance back and then it's a 7p down the drain. Yes, I've tried and failed many times at it even as BC though I happened to pull one off the other day and I'm sure I got a bit lucky on it as well.

I always kind of thought that Stag was based around buffing the warrior, Crow around utility skills. Sacraments is kind of harder to define. Probably Inqui, heh.

Oh hey, I'm feeling reasonable and not filled with an OOC hatred for all things Tainted. (Also, note, I'm not great with warrior combat, but...)
Idea:
Change whatever the name of that actual attack is (wind/the one that causes balance loss) away from being a strike and into something else? That way it won't be a 100% hit (I'm understanding that strikes are just done STRIKE PERSON PART and either hit or miss that single part). Bad for warriors wanting to Sacrifice, yes, I know. But at the same time, compared to alternatives (People wanting to cap balance loss) that would cripple Nihilists, this would mitigate most of the problems. Maybe even help solve the ecto issue a bit, too.
Cap it on monks. Or just remove it alltogether, could care less which since they're almost done being reworked. (I'm not sure if they're being removed/toned down in the rework or not, though)
Edit: Stag is focused on keeping my ass alive, thanks! <3 All I'd really complain about is Stagform's dex (maybe) or Ancestralcurse costing 8p for a mediocre return as far as combat effectiveness is concerned.

Fun fact, according to Desitrus, all the monk specs are now getting balance-loss.
