Why did you post all the central pokemon, too? Mine's from the later ones, but I think it's pretty obscure. Could be an obscure pokemon from the earlier generations.

I think mine's obscure, it's not one of the starters anyway.

I was actually wondering if I should include shadow/Aesyra, but I'd already randomised and sent out the PMs, so.. yeah. I'll definitely take you in as a replacement, though, in case anyone really doesn't want to play this theme.

I think Team Rocket and/or the trainers are cultists here, IE they train (convert) the pokemon (townies). Any thoughts on this?

I don't think we can assume it's a cult on day 1. It could easily be a regular mafia or a superpowers mafia (latter being like in Ryleth's game.)

Things that would mostly disprove this: no kills night 1, someone has a townie role that references conversion a la Aesyra in Rika's game.

The original post says that humans -trained- some Pokemon to take the rest of them out. Of course, they can be from Team Rocket, Galactic, Magma, Aqua or something totally different.

It would, and it doesn't make a huge difference to what we should do today, but we can't assume it with even a reasonable degree of certainty.

I can understand you listing Pikachu, but how did you figure Vulpix, and to a slightly lesser degree, Eevee to be possible characters? They aren't central at all.

I think Eevee was the star of some other game in the franchise but first featured in RBY, so that might have been what she meant there. No idea about vulpix though.

I figure we're in the later series because Wailord is mentioned.

Vulpix was Brock's Pokemon, and while Eevee was the star of only one episode, he had a pretty big role in the Pokemon Special manga.

Also, Vulpix and Eevee are subject to much love by most all of the Pokemon players. (How could one resist? They're so cute... )


I'm disinclined to believe there are humans running around. I think it's solely Pokemon. So, either the "mafia" is going to be the typically-used Pokemon by the baddies (Rocket, Magma, Aqua, Galactic, as Rika had said). As such, we should be on the lookout for Zubats, Koffings, Electrodes, maybe Sandslashes.

In general, evolved Pokemon that are poisonous or have the potential for a poisonous attack. (Lickitung? But I still think Silferras didn't touch on the first series)

And if you're wondering where I got Lickitung from, some Rocket members in FR and LG had Lickitung. Also, from the series, Jesse had a Lickitung.

This game feels more nerdy than the carebears one already.
