From memory, pokemon used by Jesse and James in the first few seasons of the anime are Meowth, Ekans/Arbok, Koffing/Wheezling, Weepinbell/Victreebell, Lickutung, Wobuffet, Cacnea, Seviper, Wurmple/Cascoon/Dustox.

Team Aqua used mainly water type pokemon, such as Carvanha, Sharpedo, Walrein. Team Magma used mainly fire types, such as Camerupt, Houndoom and Torkoal. Both of these groups had pokemon such as Mightyena and Golbat/Crobat.

Team Galactic used mainly dark type pokemon such as Toxicroak, Sneasel/Weavile and Murkrow/Honchkrow.

So... basically if any of them come up, we'd have good reason to believe they might be mafia.

I'm going to vote: Shaddus. For no real reason, but everyone else is being random.

I gotta say that my own pokemon knowledge is quite limited and I had to look mine up.

People usually vote randomly for a bit, then it emerges that some people aren't talking enough, or are being the least constructive, then they get pressured for more information. That's why everyone's voting randomly now. (Only on day 1 does this happen btw.)

We still might vote people for lurking in later days, though.

Hrm. Things that splash. Magikarp is definitely the only thing I can remember splashing, oh man. I might have to pick up Diamond again.

dammit, I can't really follow along the conversation since the -only- pokemon I know about is Pikachu... l'sigh.

Some reason I think silferras would be smarter than making the mafia humans... the roleclaim thing would be to easy. But I could be wrong. Are team rocket trainers or a combo of pokemon?

Um, based on my four or so years old cartoon knowledge, they're trainers. Though, Meowth talked... and mastermined a lot of Jesse and James's 'plots.'

Team rocket are two humans and a meowth, a maneki-neko type cat thing with a badly drawn coin on its face, that try to steal pikachu from the protagonist. In the TV at least (brother used to watch it.)

I don't see how it would make the roleclaim thing too easy to have them be humans though. Obviously any humans are bad but it's not like there aren't a million damn pokemon to make a claim out of, and Myrkr went ahead and listed the ones she'd be suspicious of, so they can probably avoid those. (I liked sandslash though, wasn't that the cute mole/gopher/porcupine thing?) But the scum probably are the latter, so if a hypothetical cop turns up a pokemon name instead of an alignment those names might be good to watch out for.

Also fyi: splash did nothing, it was a deliberately useless move. Scum could have that as easily as town though, if they were pokemon and not humans.

Two Pokemon can splash. Magikarp is one, and they turn into Gyrados, and Gyrados were evil in the anime. The other is Wynaut, which is a baby Wobbuffet, and according to Bulbapedia, then only recurring Wobbuffet in the anime belongs to Team Rocket's Jesse.
