I'm confused by the cult thing. Does the cult not dissolve when they're leader got caught? I guess the last person Balizar targeted was scum (unless they just happened to already be aiming for him?). Who did Balizar least think was scum in his last list?

Ok, according to this post, Balizar was suspicious of these people: Furien, Noola, Simon, Casilu. Assuming that he wrote it in order of suspicion (which I think the post seems to indicate he did) Then, the folks he least suspected were Simon and Casilu, with Casilu being the most least suspected.

I also think that Rika, Shiri and possibly (but I'm not sure of this one) Ryleth were in his cult. Because he never listed Rika or Shiri in suspicious list and I think it's cause he had already hypnotized them or tried to and didn't get captured, which if they'd been mafia, he'd have been captured. Ryleth, I'm kinda guessing on just cause Bali defended him so much. But that just might've been that Balizar really didn't think he was scum. Course, he might've tried to add Ryleth to his cult last night (if he wasn't already part of it) and got pokeballed. Hard to tell.

So, IMO, the order of suspicion for scum goes: Casilu, Simon, Furien. I'd put Ryleth in there, but I'm all ambivalent about him. I mean, on the one hand, he would have been made more powerful by a townie's power and why would a townie help a scum? But on the other, who's to say the townie would have known he was helping scum? The scum might've used the townie.

And I'm even kinda ambivalent about Casilu because she's the Wailord that brought everyone to the new island so she's like a savior. But then she also brought badguys along too and who's to say she didn't know she was? There just happened to be a Wailord passing by who just happened to not get caught? Something that big didn't get spotted by the Trainers on the island while it sat in the water long enough for a horde of pokemon to board it?

So, I'm gonna vote: Simon for now. Cause he's the most suspicious person that I don't feel conflicted about.

I'm a little puzzled because this is the first time that someone has started voting on someone without, you know, giving a reason... there's a lot of "he seems suspicious!" and not a lot of precise accusations that I can defend myself.

I think that the general etiquette when one is 2 votes away from lynching is to role claim, so...

You know, that is true, and now that you've pointed it out it's kind of odd, but I don't know what to say... I'm not going to make up a power in a role claim when I'm town, you know. The message seems to imply that if the sun had come out (via Shaddus?) that I would've gotten something, but without him I'm out of luck.

Now, I'm not so sure. Shiri is basically confirmed by Dia trying to copy him and fail. I remember that Ryleth's roleblocking is carried out via sleep powder. Last night, though, I was just "too distracted to carry out my role". The two don't match up, unless the Mafia also has a roleblocker as well, or Ryleth is lying.

Assuming Ryleth was claiming true and there was another blocker, we've got three suspects: Rika, Simon and Noola.

Since Shiri's power couldn't be copied, I'm willing to wager his power was useless or he was just a townie, otherwise Daimondais would've gotten it. You're our two townies, assuming everything goes well.

Wouldn't it be more likely that a two-shot roleblocking skill be more a scum ability than a full roleblocker?

Depending on if Ryleth used his charges up or not, we could test that. Lynch one of you two, roleblock the other. If a kill still happens, we'll know it's Simon or Ryleth lying. If not, it'll be the survivor.

If Alianna's telling the truth, it's quite likely that the scum have a roleblocker (and this isn't entirely infeasible in the abstract, we know they have superpowers.)

I'm thinking Noola is scum actually. I know she ended up finishing off Dylara, but she had that highly dubious "her "I don't see why you'd want to be captured" line seems accurate" bit with Dylara. The lynch was probably because it was a lost cause.
