Did anyone else besides Romero and I watch it or are we the only nerds?

I figured we're screwed either way, so I didn't bother.
How was it?

As was expected. Dems being Dems and Reps being Reps.
Somaria2008-09-27 04:43:10
The VP debate was better. Mucho.
Silvanus2008-09-27 04:43:27
And politicians avoiding the answers, as usual.

Biden is going to rip Palin a new one.

He'd need to convince her first that Abortion existing isn't bad, that children + guns = trouble, and that just because she thinks creationism is true doesn't mean it's true for the rest of us.

Not... really... I've actually heard rumors that Obama is going to ditch him for Hilary. Doubt he will though, he knows he'd be her bitch if they were on the same ticket, and his fat head can't stand the thought of that.

What? Are you kidding me? Palin is such a joke compared to Biden and everyone knows it. Biden has experience. Palin doesnt. She has no clue about anything. Honestly Palin has to be one of the worst choices for VP in American history for all the wrong reasons.
Silvanus2008-09-27 04:58:37
The pick of Palin to me just seems like a political gimmick, where as Biden to me seems like a pick of a candidate admitting his weakness.
Unknown2008-09-27 05:01:28
I thought Palin was because McCain wanted to ride on the Newbie Express, and was hoping that the Clintonites would flop over to him.
She still was the worse choice for him, in terms of "My campaign is about experience!"
Yeah... "My campaign is about experience, so I'm going to hire this noob whose husband is being investigated! BRILLIANT!"
Before... Obama vs McCain, not that bad. Throw in Palin, and it's heart failure on a stick.

They're both rather lame choices, but at least Palin is interesting, while Biden is just another forgettable old guy that no one really cares about, from the eternal sea of forgettable old guys that the democrats keep putting up for us to not vote for. While thats clearly a bad reason to vote for someone, thats the way a lot of people will go. And clearly experience matters very little in this election, with Obama being the democrats' pick and all. I always love that - "Palin has no experience at all!" *vote Obama*. The irony is delicious.
Unknown2008-09-27 05:09:36
Biden is a lame choice? You're either really misinformed or just incredibly biased. Anyway, I dont feel like getting into it.
Silvanus2008-09-27 05:10:42
Yes, it's not worth arguing with somebody who bases politics on interesting choices.
VPs just sit there and collect dust to take over the Presidency in case of emergency, you don't want an interesting choice there because it draws attention from the actual Presidental choice.

I admit it, I haven't really paid attention at all, because I'll never vote for a democrat, because they have this annoying tendency to tax the hell out of people who can take care of themselves and then pour it into things that 1)I never see a benefit from, and 2)Never improve. I'm especially not voting for Obama because he's an arrogant hippie communist who strikes me as rather spineless and I don't feel like he's trustworthy. So really, McCain could have chosen a potted plant as his VP pick, and I'd be completely behind it

....
Whenever people are so party-blind and fail to actually look at a candidate instead of the party ideas, it saddens me greatly.
Somaria2008-09-27 05:30:52
I'll never vote for McCain for a few reasons.
However, there's only one I need.
The McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform Act. (What a joke)
However, if you'd like more:
Republicans in general are prudes who want to take their personal religious moral blueprints and make them into laws.
They aren't doing anything to protect our borders (Protect being the key word)
"They pay more attention to K Street lobbyists than they do to the American workers and businessmen carrying the load."
Donald Wildmon
I have plenty for Democrats too, don't get me wrong. I hate them both equally.
