Why can you only put 5 hours of food in a damn feedbag? My eagle died because I got disconnected and it was at level one.

It's four actually. And yeah, I lost a pony or two that way. I wish you could have the option to allow others to fill your feedbag for you. That way, if your friends notice your horse just standing around and no you, they can take care of it for you.

Four? Weired, I've always been able to put five feeds in my feedbags. Either way, it's an awfully unforgiving way of doing things, especially when we're talking about hundreds of thousands of gold shot because of bad internet. Ideally you could get 24 hours of food in there, but 12 would be better then nothing. Sometimes people have to sleep/eat/do other things then sit and hope the internet comes back up! The reason I'm so upset by this is that I've lost every single beast I've ever bought this way. I get DC'd, beast runs out of food, death to beast. I go out hunting to regain the level, rinse and repeat. sad.gif

I lost a total of ten mounts before I managed to successfully raise one to full level. All to starvation - either due to bad luck or my own stupidity. laugh.gif So I do feel your pain.

Maybe make an ideas post?

I had my horse die completely because it couldn't find it's way back to the stables in Celest from the post office after dying once (he was like level 2. I think that was back when Celest had all those doors everywhere (maybe we still do, I just haven't seen them for a while and I hope they stay away. I don't think they really help much).

How many units of feed equals the ability to use one reagent?

And am I correct in concluding that if I don't get in enough feed during the youth phase to get 600 trains, I can still feed it appropriately later when it's an adult to get it to 600, right? I'll just have fewer feeds "affecting the roll" that determines its adult look?

And finally, if I fill a feedbag with 5 units of food, put it in the stable with the FEED option, it'll first eat the 5 meat, then just stay in stasis as long as I have the stable fees paid? So this is just a way of feeding your pet a bit more actual feed (to build up reagent potential) when you're not around?

(I don't want my new eagle to die either!!)

2 feeds of the same type = 1 reagent.

And yes. The food during the Youth period affects looks, but you can continue feeding for reagents/points until you reach 600, whether it's during Youth or later. In fact, you might get a fat fat mount if you did it all during the Youth period! laugh.gif

When did it change to five feeds? Last I knew it was four, but you're the second person to say five. But yes, that's what it's for. To let you get your Feeds and thus Reagents in faster.
Zalandrus2009-06-16 02:38:52
Actually, you're right, I think it is 4. I forgot my eagle ate one when I was in the realms and I put another one in!

Thanks for the answers

1) 2-to-1

2) Yes

3) Only four feeds in the feedbag. It will first eat outta the feedbag and then eat stable food.

If you don't want your pet to die:
+ make sure you're not taking them out just before midnight with an empty feedbag.
+ when out of stables, make it outrift feed and put it in feedbag if your beast is with you.
+ handle your beasts respnosibly? (srsly Noola, 10 beast deaths?! If I'll find out you have a RL pet, I'm calling PETA!)

And now my still unanswered questions.
1) How much does sharpness oil increase the hit rate?
2) How many Axelords it takes to chop down a forest?
3) WHy did Furrikin cross the Ackleberry Highway?
Unknown2009-06-16 03:48:30
I'm planning on writing a book in-game. The book details Kial's in-game perspective upon The Elders, The Vernals, and Mortality. Unfortunately, due to Kial's opinion, it's likely to offend quite a few of the Gods, though I should hope not the admins behind them. However, Fania has let me know that I might get Kial shrubbed for doing that. Will he? Or will he simply have disfavours/maggoting/ectetera to look forward to, assuming he pisses off someone?

1) No idea
2) More than you have
3) To get away from Acknor!

EDIT: Kial, I know for other projects involving the Gods, people have sent them a message asking if it was alright for them to use the God's image/name/whatever in their project. Perhaps you can try that?

It wouldn't strictly be about specific gods though. More just them in general. Besides, even if I did ask, it'd have to be strictly OOC. Asking ICly for permisson...well, kind of destroys the point of the book, which is that Mortals have surpassed their progenitors, and that they are greater then the gods now.

Shrubbing is generally only used for badly breaking Policy rules. Will your book break Policy rules? If not, then the worst would probably be disfavors/curses/maggoting, assuming any Divine even notices/cares.

I think anyway. laugh.gif

If your book can bread things, I want it. Now.

You can try issuing yourself with a question too, like "If I write an IC book that doesn't say favorable things about IC Gods, will I be punished OOC for it?".

I think if this ever happened(given its not breaking policy), the Gods would never have books about them IG, written by players

Yeah, when in doubt, ISSUE ME is always a winner.

Actually, that's a great idea. I love Chicken Nuggets, so an auto-breading book means all I have to do is Nekai a chicken and poof!

When creating an aethership, does the layout of the rooms matters? I.e. does it matter which module is at the fulcrux? Does it matter whether a particular module is north or west of another?

Why would you want to have more than one energy collector?

Shrubbing can only be done by the admin, it's not in the IC God's armoury - so you're not at any risk of being shrubbed as part of an in character godly reprisal. In fact, I would imagine that your book is highly unlikely to come to the notice of any god in his IC function unless it is specifically shown to the god by a worshipper. Besides, slating the gods is nothing new! See Roark's fulcrux, Principles, page 9.
