When creating an aethership, does the layout of the rooms matters? I.e. does it matter which module is at the fulcrux? Does it matter whether a particular module is north or west of another?

Not for the functions of the modules; it's purely aesthetics.

Why would you want to have more than one energy collector?

If you can dredge up enough people to run two, you can gather and store more energy with two. But that's a big, big if. If I had it to do over again, I would only have bought one.

Incidentally, though, the unused collectors serve a very minor purpose: they take damage sometimes so that modules that matter won't have to.

How exactly are pets delivered? Do they just randomly pop out of nowhere? If possible, I want my pet to arrive on a meteor.

I think they just appear in inventory by default. Obviously, I suspect an admin could make a room wide illusion of it arriving on a meteor and even killing someone in the process (invite your most favorite R person)...

If only they would allow Hydralisks sad.gif I'd even give getting a pet another thought...

By the way...
Does anyone know what is the increase in hit rate for sharpness oil? :shameless:

Estarra will give you your pet (in private). I'm sure you could arrange something with her on how to deliver it, though.
Unknown2009-06-16 22:40:34
Yeah, you're called into a secret meeting with Estarra, where she gives you the new beast and goes over how to use it, making sure it's just how you want it.

But after that, it is up to you how you RP the discovery...

Just your ego/charisma and any Dramatics afflictions, as far as I'm aware.

I don't think anyone but the admins can give an exact % base. However, I can make some conjectures based off my own observations.

If you are transcendent in your knighthood based skill, you will still notice a difference, albeit a very slight one. This difference appears to be more pronounced when you're trying to hit something with a natural dodge rate (such as astral beasties).

If you are not transcendent, it is far more useful. Every time I've lent sharpness to a newbie I've taken along with me, it seemed to boost their hit rate such that they'd only miss about as much as me. This leads me to believe sharpness doesn't grant a flat rate, but rather boosts the hit rate to a set point irrespective of skill level.

Something I haven't tried yet but might be amusing to experiment with to confirm this: coat a mage staff or cudgel with sharpness and have at swinging at some rats and weevils a while to see.

The Celest Prophecy quest. Do you guys write it up from time to time just to have something to show when it is completed, or do you just quickly write it down when you notice someone about to solve it? The prophecy I was given seemed to really reflect the current situation of Celest.

Cool beans... at least some info here, thanks.
Well, now that forging is fixed I might actually have time to bash. Guess I could use Treant's built in critical counter to test it, since it also displays hits and missess.
Unless I'm very wrong about the way it works, I should be able to reset it, bash till I get some 1k hits or so, write down the miss rate, reset and repeat with a trigger for having sharpness on at all times.

What cures toading? My first attempt at lrn2fight in choke ended in my hilarious frogification and though I ran quite a bit, I still got squished.
Unknown2009-06-17 07:40:52
You just have to keep running until it eventually wears off. Alternatively, you can get someone to kiss you, which cures you (has a chance to turn them into a toad) but that's not a solution in a duel.

When are artisinals going to be judged?

Actually answerable: Does truetime affect the lag caused by Night Choke?
Llandros2009-06-17 18:23:42
When it came out i don't believe that it worked on choke or sap, but that may have been before choke was made targetable. It might be worth testing.

Does hungriness/sleep need decrease up till 80? My alt seems to get tired/hungry a lot faster than my main, but maybe because he's herbing so much. =\\

It may be a size issue - since smaller size means need less food to feel full and hence perceived as requiring less food.
