It wouldn't. It would be six to the four; you have to get a six four times out of four rolls, there are six ways each individual dice can land, thus there are 6^4 (1296) overall possibilities and 1 of them is the one you want.
Or, if it helps, each time you have a 1/6 chance of getting a six.
One in a row is 1/6.
Two in a row is 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/(6^2) = 1/36
Three in a row is 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/(6^3) = 1/216
Four in a row is 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/(6^4) = 1/1296
Or ... a .00077 chance, like Janalon said.

6!4! would be the odds of drawing a specific result from two sets that contain six items and four items, respectively, when order matters and you're drawing both lots out completely.

Why're we figuring 1/(6^4) instead of 1/(3^15)? Isn't the base weapon 95/95/95?

Yes. And they're figuring that out because they took my example literally. My point was that I have no clue how many forges it will take to make a perfect nekai just like you can never know how many dice rolls it will take to get 24 with four dice.
Xavius2009-07-03 22:57:59
It's one point distributed at random until all 15 are tallied, no? So 1/(3^15), or one in fourteen million.

How does one raise kephy soldiers?
Shaddus2009-07-04 06:21:41
Does it matter when you set on a throne while deffing? For instance, would it be better to sit on it before Bardicpresence/Netzach because Throne is a buff and not a set number?
Sarrasri2009-07-04 06:23:09
Throne is just +2 weighted charisma. It's not an ego buff in the sense that it doesn't affect your cha.

wha?
So, it adds to your charisma but doesn't add to your ego?
Sarrasri2009-07-04 06:30:15
The extra charisma makes your ego go up, it's not an ego buff though, such as in the blessing sense. So it doesn't matter when you use it, since you'll always be getting +2 weighted charisma.

In the Akhari Hive, there are incubators. When you hatch eggs, they are either male or female. The male ones can be raised into kepheran warders or something. The nurses tell you what to do. It's a fairly long process.

Are you able to customize artifacts like the Fesix pack?

Yes, so long as it is still a pack.

Would it be passable RP for someone who had an insignificant char that got deleted, to RP that as the new one they are, erm, the old one? In that they, for whatever reason, went through the Portal only to return now and have little memories of it. Different name though.

Early Kialkarkea RP was that he was the "Fractured Soul", and that was why he had rainbow eyes, learned so quickly, ectetera.

This is absolutely taboo in every single roleplaying MUD I've ever played, and it would make no sense within the context of Lusternia. If it really was an insignificant character the Divine probably wouldn't care, though.
Nariah2009-07-04 22:05:15
In theory, it makes sense, just isn't really done that much so I have doubts. I mean, people who come through a portal aren't necessarily from some different realm, it's our own people too, right? A friend of mine is just really fond of the background (published in a book) he wrote for himself for that character and is basically playing the same character now so making something new up to fit it is just a hassle. Our own plot to justify it would have been that I had something to do with him being thrown into the portal since I wasn't too pleased with how he turned out.

Unknown2009-07-04 22:14:26
As far as I understand it, before one enters the portal they're basically a faceless nobody - one of the hundreds or thousands of citizens of Magnagora, for example, that are always bustling around but aren't actually "there" in a gameplay sense. The portal grants you the ability to advance beyond this (levels/lessons), to never die by normal means, etc. I guess you could say that this was somehow reversed and then the character went ahead and came back, but it's definitely a stretch... can't you just come up with a similar concept that isn't the exact same character?
Nariah2009-07-04 22:20:04
I'm pretty sure that it's not a stretch that a marked person goes into the Portal again. Nihilists and the Fates are always at odds, trying to pull something like this off as an experiment is well in their RP. Beyond that, I'm not speaking of actually saying 'Hi, I was X', more like drawing on the same story without a name. If someone comes across it, fine, if not, remain unnamed and no one will connect the two.

Does anyone have a really easy way to check if a binary number is divsible by seven?
