Yes, I've gotten singlestats of 110+, but the other was something abominable (like a 110/65). I've forged them since the newest set of changes were put in.
My character currently has a plate that was forged as 93/90, then marked as masterarmour for +10/+10, for a final of 103/100. That was created from a raw forge, which does NOT have the same cap as things that are up-tempered. Raw forges are still the same as they always were (or so my correspondence with Desitrus tells me), but you can't -temper- above the stated limits. World knows I've already made weapons that exceed the caps stated in AB FORGING TEMPER.

I wish you hadn't have told me this, now I'm going to be forging for weeks to get my 93/90 to even out my plate... Or possibly 93/93 if that's still possible...

Question: Does gold decay if I just drop it in my manse? Or... do I have to put it in some sort of artisan-type piece?
Question 2: If I have my gold in my manse and it explodes while I'm flying, do I lose what's in my manse? I don't know how this crap works.
Richter2009-07-25 03:42:39
The aether contrivances are being retired, and the manse dingbat artifacts are staying around for a bit, right?
Richter2009-07-25 03:43:48
Also, where the devil are the aetherspace maps with more than just prime on them? I was trying to figure out which contrivance to get (assumed you'd want to get one to a bubble that's far away) and I can't find them all.
Lendren2009-07-25 03:55:16
Some of them aren't entirely current since no one's updating them, but there are maps of all the planes over on the Scrying Pool.

No, you don't lose anything but your life.

Xion is a long ways into the Elemental Plane, through some dangerous territory, so that's probably the furthest place you can get a contrivance for.

Read the new Announce. There is no Commander skill anymore!
Why is it that whenever I take an interest in things, the Admins change it? I feel like I'm walking down a staircase, and suddenly it turns into a ramp. Sure, the ramp does have good points and in some ways it is an improvement over the stairs, but you still get your feet knocked out from under you. "Oh, Xan finally transed enchantment. Let's split it into specializations a day later." "Hm, Xan started learning Commander. Let's delete it and replace it with something new several hours later." Grumble grumble overworked grumble grumble underpaid grumble no control over my life...

Trust me, 90/90 is perfectly adequate, though I sincerely doubt 93/93 is possible. Anyways, add coalrunes, and bam, you're good.
If your manseship implodes, it sets itself to the Aetherplex dock with zero power and kills everyone inside. As for the contents, I'm pretty sure they stay where they are (unless they're aetherspace related, i/e holds are set to empty, I -believe-. Not 100% sure on that.)

Look at the change before you grump. Now you can get the skills from -all three specializations- in one nicely finished package. There's nothing new, other than the "proficiency", but if you already had Commander, you're now 50% proficient at Grids and Turrets, and 100% proficient at Commander (which from my understanding is roughly analagous to trans Commander, before). I think the change was nicely handled. In fact, better than nicely handled, it's wonderful since it'll make getting full crews together a LOT easier.

I don't suppose there's a way I can know when there is going to be dingbat sales from buying credits (and more importantly when the Xion crystal is going to be retired...the only real dingbat thing I really want.)?

My impression is that nearly all, if not entirely all, of what you see on our good Professor Gargle Fixit will not be sold again once he goes home.

Can we just kidnap him and force him to make more, for free?

Shuyin had 93/93.
It offers the following defences:
Physical cutting: 110
Physical blunt: 110
It is in perfect condition.
This armour has been forged as Master Armour.
It is crawling with dark shadows.
It has the following dwarven runes etched upon it in coal:
A dwarven rune shaped like a castle has been etched in coal.
A dwarven rune shaped like a mountain peak has been etched in coal.
A dwarven rune shaped like a rock has been etched in coal.
-10 from masterarmour, -7 from coalrunes = 93/93

I don't know much about keeping horses/beast-thingys. So, my question is, is there any particular time you administer a reagent..? Or do you do it anytime? I'm slightly confused with that.
Vathael2009-07-25 21:40:51
You can administer reagents after they eat a feedbag full (I think?) of the associated food. Like meat for bodoru.
