Goes to the Old Merchant's Retirement Home.

If I double-vengeance someone, are they peaced, and if so, for how long?

From what people have poked me with, it's an initial 3 days + whatever amount of people are on the person's PK list. No idea if spamming the two Vengeances stacks though, so maybe!

How long does it take a village quest to reset?

Why are Celestians such idiots about guarding merians? I mean, what if Mag's wanted to guard gorgogs, could we do that?

And yes, I know many celestians are merians, and it's mostly rp. Why don't they guard Spectre Island, then? >:)

They've tried.

Why are Mags such idiots about guarding shallach?
Rika2008-10-26 19:42:23
Yeah, just so you know, merians were only changed to enemy territory because Celestians asked for it. Their reasoning for it was because Magnagora have Shallach (even though the Shallach ur'dead don't want to be protected).
Aison2008-10-26 20:03:31
I don't remember asking for that.

But I'm confused, why did Gorgogs get thrown into that pile?

Also, spectre island is like. I don't know. Three rooms away from Mag, and if a Celestian steps on it they jump to get lolpwned?

Slightly edited for truth.

Think about it. If people want to hunt gorgogs, it's fine, but merians, they can die to celest/seren? So in order to not get pk'd, we are forced, if we wish to bash there, to only hunt gorgogs.

From what I understand, some chick was enemied to Celest the other day, for following someone who was bashing merians. And she wasn't even bashing, she was chatting with the guy. Sure, I think she got it cleared up, but not before someone tried to jump her, and she got enemied to Celest while in the city limits.

Personally, I think they need to remove the merian/gorgog enemy thing. All that does is give a reason for people to grief.

And it pretty much forces rp.
Sarrasri2008-10-26 20:17:09
First: The merians are not three rooms away from Celest.
Second: In Shallach, you can bash orcs if you don't want to be enemied, so being able to just bash gorgogs without getting status doesn't seem unreasonable.

Neither is Spectre Island from Magnagora, technically.

I'm agreeing to your point, but only because of your title.

1: I wouldn't mind if we were allowed to kill Ur'dead in Shallach without being killed for it.
2: No, it in no way forces RP. People either care or don't care. Just because it's now flagged as a free-pk place for those hunting them, it doesn't mean all of a sudden anyone is forced into killing them.
Casilu2008-10-26 20:27:55
If I remember right, I personally think it was Dinoniel that prompted the change with the constant opening of the gorgog portal for like a week, and no one could kill him to stop it because we all had status.

o Advantage in intimidation influencing, level 2.

What exactly does this mean? Intimidation influencing = teasing/mockery/derision? Or does it mean I have a bonus against denizens who are in an intimidating demeanor?

Yeah, you're better at weakening.

Forcing RP is shady (see: Raziela-Fae event, TBC). However, I'm going to pull a Celina and say that neither Mag nor Celest is forced to defend Arysian Isles and Shallach.

I'm sure the merians know the risks of living outside of Celest. If they wanted to be protected they'd move to the city.

"Mommy, why don't we move to Celest where the bad men can't hurt us?"

"Well, sissy, if we moved to Celest we would become mindless drones! Incidentally, you'd better duck if you don't want to become a headless drone, that axe looks sharp."

I have some credits, but I can't decide if I want to spend or save...

So if I spend:
I could trans arts/highmagic with a few left over, or;
I could learn beastmastery until sort of almost but not quite trans.

If I save, it'd be for a shield rune.

Not sure what to do at this point unsure.gif I have a debt to pay off but I can do that in November when there's no credit-to-lesson bonus.

I'd say trans highmagic. It should be much more worth it, in my opinion.

Don't bother with Arts unless you're looking for flavor. Don't bother with Beastmastery unless you're planning on having a pet.

$0.02.

Arts is useful in combat for illusion detection.
