I'm a Glom transplanted from Magnagora. I understood lich benefits from mag's ghelp undeath. I haven't seen any documentation on nightwraith. I've asked a few peeps IC and didn't get much info. Can anyone explain the abilities/benfits for nightwraith?

I'd just like to know if there's some aspect of "bearing people's souls off to the Halls of the Fates" that I'm missing? Is there some grand rumbling portal-openage and then they toss the soul inside? Because, as it stands, Bardoon looks like your spirits just... leave with the soul.
Which is unbelievably lame. They get the enemy's soul and leave. The end.
Discontent ensues.

This opens up something interesting. Why does Bardoon, "bearing people's souls off to the Halls of the Fates," work on illithoids, when the majority of the population consider them 'soulless'?

I think you've asked this before. And I think I replied with something like: it's a game, and I doubt the admin are going to go to the trouble of changing 'souls' to 'worms' when it is used on an illithoid.
Take it with a grain of salt.

Carrying the souls off solemnly -is- awesome. It's like you're saying "what's so cute about that? It's just a fluffy bunny snuggling a beanbag!"

Ever saw The Mummy and how the bad guy 'died' (the part about his soul being carried off anyhow)? I found that pretty cool at least, and that's how I imagine this kill too.

Good analogy.

Go count how many times krokanis use emotes and messages that refer to their "eyes". Then shush!

Not sure, but I think I found an exploitable loophole in the bardic/artisinal. As it stands now, isn't it possible for someone to submit a work as one character and then submit another via an alt? Effectively giving them two free submissions with potential to win?

Is discussion of the bardic and artisinal competitions considered OOC?
I don't think so, because the stuff submitted is supposed to be from your character.

It is possible, and I was told in an issueme question/answer that it's possible. I don't think there's a problem with that personally, because the entry is supposed to be from the character, not the player.

This brings up the question of...well, I'll narrate.
Shurimaru submits something...and wins! Yay yay! 300 credits~! Happiness! Jubilation!
But Shurimaru's alt needs the credits more than Shurimaru does...is it alt abuse to transfer the credits from Shurimaru to Altman?

If only there was some way you could get HELP learning about CREDIT TRANSFERS.
Short answer is no, it's not abuse because bardic/art awards are OOC methods of gaining credits.

Aison2008-11-25 00:25:54
I would issueme about that, Shuri. I always considered bardic/artist to be gaining credits icly (since the two are often mixed). If you are a guide or mortal builder, those credits I'd consider to be gained by out of character means and therefore all right to swap between alts. Bardics and credits you buy in-game with in-game currency are a no-no. But, again, I'd get the straight answer with an issue.
Llandros2008-11-25 00:31:58
Bardic/artisnal credits are not ic credits. The help files specifies them as one of the ways to get ooc credits.
Kiradawea2008-11-25 10:52:03
Bardics are confirmed "free-to-share".
Shurimaru2008-11-25 14:24:19
Ah, right. My bad....here's a quote from HELP CREDIT TRANSFERS in case this ever comes up again.

No. Because there's no guarantee that both or either of the characters would win anything at all.

Because the credits are OOC, but the contests are IC.
