For Pyromancy's Fireproof (0% Master), the AB I've found on the wiki says "You can temper your skin against fire, offering some fire protection as well as the chance to avoid catching on fire. Also, you will be protected from blasts of fire that move you on the Elemental Plane of Fire."
How much is the fire protection worth, roughly, and what about the chance to avoid catching on fire?
Also, the ABs mention that pyromancers can meld natural desert without changing the environment. Do the other mage guilds have similar natural environments (not counting the Elemental Planes!)?

And of course Glomdoring is already wyrden wood and Serenwilde is already ethereal forest

Aqua's is...water...
Geomancers get anywhere that's naturally tainted.

Lawliet2010-03-25 00:12:41
Aquamancers get the seas and rivers, only naturally tainted place I can think of off the top of my head would be the blasted lands.
Kiradawea2010-03-25 00:13:10
And the Sea of Despair.
Casilu2010-03-25 00:39:16
I thought Geos got the Wastelands. I think Halli gets nothing.
Esano2010-03-25 00:43:48
Halli has Clarramore as well.
There are quite a few naturally tainted places, for obvious reasons. Kethuru was quite powerful! They include the Blasted Lands and Sea of Despair/Spectre Isle, and I believe the Shallach Rivers and Ruins, and the Presidio/Shallamurine Cathedral.
I think the quest-opened part of the Grey Moors is also tainted.
Aquamancers get rivers, the Inner Sea (need to flood Sea of Despair) and I believe Bondero Bay.

Aquamancers get river/ocean/beach, I believe, while Geomancers get any tainted environ, Blacktalon any wyrden environ, Hartstone any natural forest, Pyromancers desert/volcanic, and aeromancers cloud.
Ileein2010-03-25 01:20:26
And there are so few natural cloud environments. ![sad.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif)

Really, only Aquamancers have any major natural ground outside of home territory to work with, and no one fights over any of it. Even the oceans are pretty much no-go since they can only meld the surface.

We ought to give Aeromancers something that's normally particularly windy...mountains perhaps?

So, I'm working on a quest in Newton Caverns, and Mucka wants me to gather stink fish into this pouch she gives me. Is there a syntax I'm missing or am I required to give them to someone to get stink fish spice (and do I need to do anything before they'll do it)? I ask because I'm completely stuck. =/
Ayisdra2010-03-25 20:25:44
Does anyone have the beauty seal winners for the past events?
Ssaliss2010-03-25 20:33:57
I think there's someone in Lolliprin you give them to. It's been a while though, so I might be off.

You have to find someone to give the fish to put into the pouch for you.

Amarysse, Zia, Silferras, and Kharaen in that order. A tapestry, a book, a platter, and a circlet.

Will an experience Karmic blessing/experience boost from an achievement stack with the double XP we are having today and this weekend?

Does anyone remember what Crusadercanto used to do in Starhymn, after reading through 1000 announce posts I only see it was changed to something different. I have no desire to read through envoy posts......

Here is Silferras'.
an extravagantly tiered platter of the planes
A three-tiered platter has been left on the ground here, its lavish
display portraying a culinary snapshot of the outer planes.
A masterpiece of metalwork in itself, this silver platter has been
intriguingly fashioned to present cuisine upon an extravagant
three-tiered display. Fresh honeycakes dominate its wide, scallop-edged
base, their golden glaze gleaming amidst crisscross lashings of whipped
cream and honey. Fanning outwards in twin trails, tiny sugared violets
trace a stylised arabesque design, the painstakingly-placed confections
unfurling to frame a black rose and a moonflower laid along opposing
sides of the platter. From the exact centre of the base, a
wrought-silver stand bearing two tiers lofts upwards in imitation of the
outer planes of existence, both comprising flat half-moons of metal
joined only by the central shaft. The essence of the elements has been
echoed in the middle tier; one semi-circle of metal is taken up by the
gossamer translucence of sashimi, raw fish cut so thinly that the
slivers of skin left on each slice mirror the swell and flicker of light
on water. A serving of pan-seared foie gras occupies the other half, the
fragrant delicacy topped with generous shavings of earthy black truffle
reminiscent of the plane it represents. The top tier reflects a
dichotomy of colour evocative of the cosmic planes - a rare filet mignon
drenched in thick red wine sauce holds pride of place just above the
foie gras, the bloody inner flesh of the steak exposed by a discreet
filleting held open with a carved bone hook. Sauteed chicken strips
cover the opposite half, shredded and arranged to mimic the pinions of
an angel's wing, an impression reinforced by a smothering of creamy
alfredo sauce and an artful sprinkle of saffron.
Consume: Sampling each tier at will unfolds a smorgasbord of flavours
over your palate, from the exquisite freshness of sashimi to the heady
aroma of red wine that infuses each bite of the steak. The rich foie
gras complements the dark earthiness of the black truffles perfectly,
while alfredo sauce and saffron add a tangy relish to the tender
chicken. A sweet note amidst it all, the honeycakes are moist and still
warm from the oven, the accompaniment of whipped cream and honey making
for an ambrosial treat.
Smell: Sweet, savoury, and underlaid with the coppery tang of blood
among others, a medley of different aromas competes for your attention.
Taste: A quick sample of the platter's delights unfurls a host of
diverse flavours across your palate.
