So after losing 50kish gold worth of items to vestiphobia, I got a bunch of things cursed. But some of my jewelry ran out of charges, and now I find out that unlike other IRE games, there's no way to destroy them, so I can't use all the enchants in the game without swapping out which items I'm wearing?
Someone please tell me there's a way to destroy jewelry you're wearing.

In my experience, rubbing out the last charge on a ring will also remove the curse on it.
Eldanien2010-04-20 03:01:20
It used to be that you could rub cursed items to remove the curse. But I'd heard that was changed... never tried it myself. I can't stand the idea of equipment I couldn't switch out.

Get brooches. You can wear an unlimited amount of them, they hold 40 charges, and highly skilled jewelers make them last for 150+ months.
Thanks! I didn't realize that.
Wearing this "cute pink ring" for the next 110 days is going to be a little annoying but at least I'll still have all the buffs

Edit: It glows when I rub it, but it doesn't come off still.

Pretty sure there is no way to remove cursed items.

Go jeweler and melt it down?

If you have a design that has the wrong pattern, is there a way to switch the pattern without requesting a new one?

Depends on what it is. If it's a masterweapon or some other sort of upgrade, there's a way. If not, you probably need to make a new one.
Which is better attack speed with a high speed kata weapon: faeling, or racial bonus?

Is there a cooler guildhall than the Ebonglom Wyrdling?
When you bow to it the Ebon swallows you up and you can explore its insides.

The enormous body of the Ebonglom Wyrdling is as thick as the trunk of the
largest oak tree. Its length is impossible to determine as it coils over and
over upon itself. The skin is as black as pitch and glistens with oil and slime,
each scale akin to plated armour, but brutally jagged. The body itself pulsates
and twists on the floor, the angular head enormous, with black faceted eyes
aglow with red flame and a gaping maw that reveals dozens of rows of wickedly
curved teeth that are as long as a great sword. The stench of stagnant waters
wafts from the bloated body.

Okay, so. I've been considering making a mac and cheese platter, but I have no idea if it would accepted. So my question is is cheesy noodles an old dish? Or is it more modern?

There are chicken nuggets and beef jerky so I wouldnt see why mac and cheese wouldnt be approved... chickens dont have nuggets dagnabit
Lendren2010-04-21 13:02:16
Beef jerky is hardly new, but chicken nuggets, pizza, blooming onions, and lots of other distinctly modern junk food has been accepted. Anyway, noodles are thousands of years old and combining them with cheese is hardly much younger. The ancient Etruscans made a dish called lagane that's basically layered noodles (more like flatbread but pretty close), cheese, and vegetables, almost the same as today's lasagne but without tomatoes.

Climb rocks in environment consumes power even if it fails. It's hard to say whether this is as intended or a bug, so do you bug it anyways and have the admin take a look?
Esano2010-04-21 14:17:23
It shouldn't fail. What I've seen, though, is that if you climb rocks then try to climb up, the latter (which can fail) overrides the former. Means that if you manual climb rocks you need to make sure your system won't send climb up again.
I bugged that and had it returned not a bug, by the way.
In general, though, I suggest talking with others OOCly to check if they've bugged it, then bugging it yourself if you don't get any conclusive responses.

What is the maximum possible decay for newly-created Tailoring items?
What about newly-created Jewelry items?

Does anyone know how long the artifact package sale will last for? I'd like to wait to see what the Halliguardians look like before I make a purchase.
