Ahaha, I am like that too. I generally wait around ages then start to get uncomfortable when they don't respond fast enough and quickly run!

What exactly is the big difference betwen an aether garden and a pot? Besides transportability?
Do both have the rare flowers? If not, just the pot?

Does anybody else find it awkward when you're trying to terminate a conversation (through says) with somebody, and you say something conclusive (ie "Ok, must be going"), then bow or some such, then don't know whether to wait for a response or just bolt?

I generally give 'em like, five seconds, and if they don't respond, I leave

The pot can hold 6 flowers and the garden can hold 12. And the garden costs more, as well as requiring a manse to be planted in.
Plus, the garden is prettier.

What does the "symbol of the gods" artifact do? I can't seem to find it in the artifact help files...

Doubles essence from offerings.

Morphs into the symbol of your patron, so if you followed fain, it would be a Symbol of Fain, and reduces the cost of the karma shrine powers by 25%

Somebody lied to me.

A plush doll of Ashtorath, Duke of Inescapable Damnation exclaims, "Glory be the Nil, a land that is by right mine! MINE! You shall not keep me from the Throne of the Beast forever, Luciphage!"
Umm... Is it supposed to be "glory be the Nil" or is it a typo of "glory be to Nil"? I've never seen the formulation before but I suppose it's possible, so I didn't want to typo it right off.
EDIT: ^ That, and what will happen to the dingbats we don't get rid of when the dingbat promo is over?
Unknown2008-12-27 19:19:03
Dingbats stay with you a long, long time. I had 15 dingbats from the previous promotion and never used them because I had no idea where Jeremiah was. About last month-ish, I finally found him and used my dingbats to buy a Luna doll.
At least, that's how it was before they were added in the # lessons, # credits, # bound credits line. I doubt it'd be different.

Is there an easy way to join an organisation? I was a bit stumped during the tutorial so I decided to opt out, and now I want to join one and I dunno what to do! I figure I can ask someone important to let me in, but I don't want to bother anyone.
Unknown2008-12-30 20:11:26
Each organisation and guild has an NPC who can induct people, which is listed in the respective org/guild helpfiles along with the syntax to join. Just check those out, find the right NPC, and you're good to go!

What she said. Although, if you have trouble finding the one who can induct you, it's no issue at all to get someone to do it. It's really a two word command to get the job done. They'll probably just ask you some questions before doing it to make sure you'd actually fit in.

Thanks to both of you! Another question (sorry for being such a newbie, heh), "help skillchoice" says I have to choose skils upon selecting a guild but I'm not in a guild and there's already some open to me. Will I scupper my future guild choices by choosing them now or something?

The choices available to you are probably just trade skills and high/low magic. Any tradeskill you can take as a rogue novice you can carry with you to any guild. High/low magic is a different story, but if you don't invest any lessons into it, you can just drop it and add the other if you need to.

What does Beastmastery's cure body treat?
Xiel2008-12-30 23:06:56
I believe that beast body curing things fix the specified physical afflictions like broken limbs (which I just tested). Not sure about things like paralysis though.
Sarrasri2008-12-31 00:23:33
Beastmastery's cure body cures pretty much just physical afflictions. Fractured jaws, broken limbs, if it's something broken on the body, it fixes it, excluding regen cures. It does not cure paralysis.
Tervic2008-12-31 01:32:17
What do the minorbreath attacks look like for beasts? Most notably, what does the psychicblast one look like?
